Round 2; Six vs Amber Empty Round 2; Six vs Amber

Helicopter was the form of travel chosen to take the competitors to the arena for this event. It wasn't a long trip... but offered some views to take home with them, win or lose. It was just a brief flight over some forest before the ruins came into view. They seemed to be... Roman in design, collapsed white stone, pillars against the sunset. Upon closer examination, it would be easier to tell that these stones had been... somewhat artificially aged. Still, for the viewing audience - this looked enticingly epic as the setting for the coming battle.

Touching down, Six and Amber were guided to what appeared to be a series of circles etched in stone. They were asked to stand in a circle each - one at each end of the set, about 10 metres apart. From there, they were given the simple instruction; The combat begins when the walls stop rising.

As the officials made their distance, it soon became evident what they meant. The sound of stone churning against stone was made audible as around each side of the set of circles, thick walls began to rise up around them. They weren't going too high - just above head height, and thick enough to clamber on and walk along should they so choose to. And they certainly were being given some reason to head up there, considering the walls weren't the only things moving....

As the walls went up, the floor went down - or, at the very least, the floor around the circles. As it shifted further and further down, it became evident that what each competitor was stood on was not in fact simple circles cut into the ground, but rather, pillars of stone - thick enough for one person to stand on, but not much wider than that.
Still, slipping off these pillars wouldn't mean a long fall - the pillars were too close together for that. Still, the gap was enough for them to potentially go down part way and become wedged. It wouldn't be hard at all for a leg to miss a step here and throw a fighter completely off-balance. And a fall here, whilst it wouldn't be long, would certainly hurt on this uneven surface.

It seemed that these walls, and these pillars of balance, were to be the main setting for this combat. Still, there seemed to be nothing to prevent them from going beyond the bounds, and taking the fight through the ruins - if they so chose to of course.
For now however... the stone had stopped shifting. And that was the sign that the battle was just about to begin...

(Mid, you're up first. You two have until the [slightly extended time of the] 1st January to go on without interference. We'll only step in if you call on us to do so - so off you go!)

Happy New Year! This topic is now closed!
Unfortunately, it seems that this battle came to a rather abrupt halt early on. As it would be otherwise rather unfair for an individual to lose out because their opponent hasn't been posting, progression to the next round has been automated as such, the victor iiisss...

Amber

Congratulations! Hopefully next round you'll have a greater chance to actually participate!
