Is the 30 post requirement still in effect? Just a little confused, cuz I was told about the Skype group the second I joined.

It is still in effect! I do tell people about it just as they join, sorry if that's confusing but it'd be rather tiring if I had to check for people when they're at thirty posts and then bother them with a pm or something when they might not even be interested, when it's much easier to just mention it while welcoming them so they can keep an eye on their own post count, if they even wish to join xD 
And I mention it cause the topic isn't a sticky so some people could miss it, but I suppose a skype chat is helpful for when you want to quickly ask a question or simply talk to kill the time waiting for an RP reply for example and get to know people better!

Ah, perhaps one day when I have enough posts! I don't really feel set up to roleplay yet, so I might as well rack up those forum game posts!

---IMPORTANT UPDATE---
So! For most of you who are unaware, Skype is getting an update at the end of this month. It's gonna essentially force people using older versions to no longer be able to communicate, and generally impose a lot of changes that peeps aren't too keen on. The result is that a lot of people are jumping ship away from Skype. This includes myself and a few other staff members.
This does however mean that this chat will essentially stop being an official SRN chat of sorts, since it won't be maintained by us. Obviously you guys who are keeping Skype can feel free to use it to chat, keep up to date with each other, whatever, but it won't be the 'official' place as it were.
The intent instead is to move over to Discord, and set up an official SRN group chat there. Expect that to be set up by the end of the month, and us to update you guys with a link to the server and such in it's own topic on the forum.
Just thought I'd best alert you guys before the official jumping ship begins! The Skype is still essentially the official chat until the end of this month.

So, it's been a month, and I'm curious... When will the Discord channel come up? I haven't bothered to join the Sonic skype group myself yet because, well, it's on its way out, and I'd rather join up with something that's going to last longer than a few more weeks.

Discord's already up. Just ask a member of staff for an invite code!
