Azawrathians: The Descendants of Dragons Themselves
The highly militaristic and spiritual Azawrathians are strange indeed. Organized as one of the most powerful single species on the planet, most are feared for their size, and not their intelligence. While not perfect, an Azawrathian is far from harmless.
Standing a firm six feet, just a foot short of their nemesis species, the Raetoldians, Azawrathians are dragon-esque, as is their heritage. With a medium sized snout with two affixed eyes like those of most non-Mobian lizards, their heads are built for tearing into meat and ripping it, but like most species, have civilized passed such a barbaric function. Their bodies bear strikingly scary resemblance to humans in terms of basic composure, limb sizes, and hand and foot sizes. Another main difference of the Azawrathians to the rest of the bunch is their tails and wings, an Azawrathian tail clocks in at four feet in length on average, and is usually fairly thick, and is the toughest part of an Azawrathian's body. Wings are an oddity among their species. Some have them, some don't, this does not affect their place in their society. Moving onto their usual colors, their scales are thick, but not as tough as their tail-scales, and come in colors of green, brown, sometimes orange or blue, and the rare black scales, and the even more elusive yellow.
Azawrathians, as described in brief summary, are highly militaristic, but very far behind in terms of clothing and appearance. An Azawrathian commonly wears armor, regardless of gender, but their standard clothing consists of medieval garb, dresses and suits, that sort of thing.
Armaments of the Azawrathian species's inventions vary greatly from what the rest of the world knows. Rather than smelting iron alone, Azawrathians smelt Iron, Tin, Copper, Aluminum, and even bismuth and obsidian. The common melee weapon of an Azawrathian is disputed, being a 50/50 between a hammer and a blade. Warhammers are very exquisite in design for an Azawrathian, being intricately engraved to provide the easiest swing, reducing draft and looking nice, the special alloy being used involves Obsidian for extra weight. Blades are the fun part of any sort of Azawrathian craft, quadruple layered for weight and crushing force rather than cutting efficiency and elegance, the thick, shiny blade of an Azawrathian is lined with bismuth, shards of obsidian, and their Iron, Copper, Tin, and Aluminum mix for the best blade you can find on Mobius, though they are rare, as their durability and lifetime similar to their hammers and blades are very long, being passed down, usually, a broken Azawrathian blade or a shattered hammer has seen at least 15 generations of users.
Azawrathians are also very spiritual, believing in several pagan gods, all were told to be once powerful dragons. They are as follows
Juna - Goddess Dreams and Fertility
Askaroth - God Power and War
Fur'kesh - Goddess of Order
Duhr'shen - Genderless Deity Death and Life; The essence of life itself
G'arrez - God of gods, equivalent of Zeus.
Vel - Goddess of Sin and Forgiveness
Vay'hehf - God of Disease
The rivaling of their species to the Raetoldians goes back generations, but no one is really sure why. They speak similar languages and act strangely alike...
