Raetoldians. Large, very foreboding chitinous creatures that bear striking semblance to insects of many natures. Hard, rough shells give off the distinct feeling of either a roach or a hornet. Most stand at seven feet, but the "shamans" or the leaders are usually short, capping at about five feet tall. They have both a normal mouth AND two mandibles on either side of their face along with six eyes, usually in shades of red, yellow, or brown. Raetoldians are diurnal, and require nightly sleep, just like any other creature.

The Raetoldian anatomy is humanoid, but consists of elongated forelimbs and regular limbs along an almond-shaped, and thin body, their necks are similar to Mobians and Humans, being connected to a central vertebra underneath their shells. The Raetoldians bear large, tapering heads, and a vertical shaped mouth underneath their mandibles. They bear only three fingers and hoof-shaped feet, that bear semblance to taibi, or Eastern-Styled two-toed socks. Because of this, only heavier breeds or subspecies of Raetoldian make abundant noise when walking, as the bottoms of said feet are often covered in a thin layer of hardened and innately callous skin, to prevent injury.

Most Raetoldians come in colors of Green, Red, Blue, or Black and white. These colors are not for show, or for attracting mates, they are very president in their abilities of "Chromatic Manipulation". Chromatic manipulation is an art that most Raetoldians are born with, in which their colors dictate the unprecedented power within them. Green shelled Raetoldians are highly volatile, and viral. Usually resistant to disease, the Green shelled Raetoldians are able to spit volatile acid and highly acidic substances from their vertical mouths or their palms. Red shelled Raetoldians, and rarely orange ones, are able to superheat particles in the air in order to cause Spontaneous combustion, but usually to lower degrees. Black and white shelled Raetoldians, and rarely gray ones, can chill the air around them, inversely to the Green shelled ones, and freeze the air around them. Blue Shelled Raetoldians can electrify the very particles around them, creating high voltage electricity from their bodies to become living tazers. Blue shelled Raetoldians also bear the innate ability to constantly build a static charge, often shocking flesh-or-fur creatures with a touch of the hand.

Rarer forms of Raetoldians are the Brown Shelled, or the Dustwalkers. Though they are far less arcane, their bodies often exhibit higher metabolic rates, larger forearms and forelegs, stronger mandibles, and heightened reflexes. Dustwalkers are often geared as guerrilla and sabotage units, or straight out warrior-assassins.

Raetoldian government is varied, and depending on where they originate can determine what kind of creature you will meet. Holoskan Raetoldians are soviet/communist. Those in more urban areas tend to be Democratic, and the outliers in the forest are tribal or feudal.

Common armaments of the Raetoldians include what are known as "Dragon's teeth". Dragon's teeth are an archetype of daggers used by the Dustwalkers and some by the warriors in order to dispatch foes with ease, as the alloy they use are often superheated or hardened to the point of being impervious. A true Dustwalker is not without these, as they are important to their fighting styles, each varying from Raetoldian to Raetoldian. Clothing of the Raetoldians include parkas, capes, cloaks, shrouds, and jackets. These are no different from your ordinary clothing item, but with one difference. Those wearing capes or cloaks are Dustwalkers, and the length and material of one's cloak determines how skilled they are. Common recruits and even veterans may wear the same color, but their materials will truly show who is who. The rougher the cloak, the higher the skill level. Only those with the highest know-how and the most kills may bear a hide cloak, often hand crafted due to the sheer number of deaths one would accumulate.
