Halloween Week 2
Important news flash
Your typical news readers set up was on screen, bland gradient blue backdrop, and a white desk up front with a few cue cards and a glass of water located on it. Once again the young female modian newscaster was sitting there in her neat and official looking clothing. A soft smile on her face as most of your news anchors had these days.
"Here is your news!" She spoke with her serious voice. However there was a certain hope in her voice. "Officials still have not spoken up about information regarding the three missing person cases. This despite repeated questioning both from reporters and concerned citizens." Her cards still remained on their spot as she sat there, hands folded into each other while resting on the table, her gaze directly at the camera.
"However" She continued with a hopeful glimmer in her eyes. "There has been a group of individuals spotted at the park, apparently doing the research that the police has not been doing. News of this already reached the families of those missing." If the tine of her words to be believed, perhaps this woman herself, could be ones related to one of the three missing, might explain her concern on this whole affair. That or she was just good of an actor as many newscasters can be with serious cases like this.
But finally she reached out towards her cue cards, picking them up daintily to scan them quickly with her eyes. "In other news, today seems to be a good day for crime as numerous alarm calls have been made already with in the few hours this day already has in span." Her mouth opened as if the young adult wanted to say something but instead refrained from it. "Crimes ranging from simple fights to acts us mobians should not do against each other. This seems to at least be something the police officials have started to go after."
Tap tap went the cards against the white desk as she placed them down once more. "On a note for you nature lovers or just people overall who have an interest in events within the world around us, a solar eclipse has been predicted by scientists to happen late noon today. It's been said it will be vise able for multiple cities, including our very own Station Square." A final nod towards whoever was behind the camera as she looked back at the camera itself. "This was the news update, thank you for watching."

Re: Halloween Week 2
It was amazing the phone was working, honestly. With such a crack down it, with the specks of blood drying between the buttons, it would have been understandable to assume it was long dead. But on the highest brightness, no doubt the owner wasn't concerned with saving that close-to-death battery, there was the leftovers of a text message conversation:
"eclipse later : ) xx "
"Supposed to last a while right? x"
"well yeah longer than usual. kinda weird but whatevz XD should come out + see it with me < 3 xxx "
"I'll try. Gonna look into this missing people thing today. Found a lead earlier I think x"
": o really??? xxx"
"u ok???? xxx"
And, of course, the last text was never finished or sent, still waiting:
"Yeah, in that old abandoned subw"
Now, continuing from where we left on our merry adventure, our heroes discovered that the blood trail was an indication to the city. The only option to take - all other paths had been run dry and empty of clues. Now there was only subway in particular which was run down. It was near the warehouses on the outskirts of the city, and was used for cargo and materials coming into the city more than anything else rather than a public thing. But there was an incident a while back regarding a train full of coal that, well, blew up. There was a bomb. It collapsed the network of tunnels and since then another was built around it. Such an old place was usually left alone, though every now and again the occasional adventurous teenager would wander inside. It was an easily forgotten place.
The sun was greatly declined in the sky, striking the start of noon, what with all that searching, and with it went the heat. The clouds were forming, blocking out the sun and sending the shadows dancing across the floor with each slight movement. What was once a hot day was now reduced to a breezy chill and a creeping night.
In the area itself, it was leading off the park, deviating from the walkpath, and through a few alleyways within the urban streets to get to the warehouses. Roughly a 10 minute walk - 5 if you jog. Onto another street, with each building tall and connected and partially run down, and a steel grated fence would have blocked your path if it were not swung open. In fact, the breeze seemed to make the gate gently tap against the brick wall aside it. Through that narrow entrance, and another gate open. How bizarre. These were usually closed. No-one bothered with these parts.
Past this, a fenced off clearing. Three large structures beside each other heavily closed with steel, and that old subway set of stairs to the side, descending down.

Re: Halloween Week 2
After a while of wandering around the scene himself, Punk noticed the one trail left, he looked on as it directed towards the city. He almost tilted his head at this "Surely more should have noticed this?" He questioned, following it. He looked around, his ears twitching. "I don't remember things being this...creepy.." He approached the blocked fence and set of descending stairs before taking a second to pauses and inspect the area. "Something is definetly strong...but that's nothing right? I've battled gods and deities, I can't be phased by a little creepiness can I? Can I? ...Stop talking to yourself Punk jeez." He pauses again, looking down the long dark downward staircase. "Maaaaaybe I can just wait for more to show up...yeah... Good idea."

Twilight followed Punk, letting him do the looking so he didn't have to. When he took the time to look around, it was a little unsettling. He also looked down the stairs, then to Punk. He sighed.
"Get it together." He said, nearly disgusted at his fear. At the same time he welcomed it, because it made him feel powerful. Either way, he stared down at the descending stairs for a few seconds before looking behind him and then nonchalantly making his way into the abandoned place. It really couldn't have been that big of a deal, that's what he thought anyway.

Re: Halloween Week 2
The cyan fox heard someone yelling. "Hey! I think I found something important tied to this!" His head shook up from the fountain which he inspected a bit. He ran to the two and looked at the bottle 'C_lo_of_rm' "Hmmm..." After a few moments his mouth turned into a smile and said enthousiasticly "Chloroform!" He saw something with that name in a tv show once. "It's the stuff that make people faint or fall asleep or something. This must have been used to calm the victim down so the culprit could take the victim with him!"
Everyone could probably hear him. Why keep it a secret? It's not like you get a big prize or something. Boubka bets the police is already busy solving the mystery behind all this. Boubka. You should watch more news. Boubka already got distracted again and saw somebody walking away from the croud. "Hey!" He walked up to Punk "Did you find a lead already?" Directly after that, the cyan fox shook his head. "I'm sorry. My name is Boubka. Nice to meet you!" Never forget to introduce yourself!

Looks like Echo can be a part of this too.
Just exiting a cafe not too far from the open gates, he walked down the sidewalk parallel to the direction of where the three personas had begun their venture. Echo pulled out his phone from his pocket, a classic flip phone, or so it seemed, and sat on a green bench close by. *Bzzt* *Bzzt* went the vibration of the phone as soon as he pulled it out. He got a text message. Reading through it, he glanced to the right, staring at the open gates to his right. He looked back at his phone, and texted.
'Thanks for the details. I'll check it out. You stay home, okay buddy?'
Before he could even get a text back, he closed his phone. He stared at the gates for a while, not paying any mind to the personas who were walking by. He mumbled silently to himself. "This must be pretty serious... maybe I should check it out too. Another story to tell to Zetski..."

Re: Halloween Week 2
There wasn't anything particularly interesting around the surrounding area. With the warehouses firmly shut and the slightest bit of rust creeping up the steel doors, there wasn't any indication they had been opened recently. If they had, there would at least be a pretty loud screeching when it did with the state of each of them. The buildings were getting on in their years, with moss growing in the shadows of the walls and cracks along every few bricks. There was the heavy stench of filth in the air, the usual kind of slum-smell that followed the nose wherever it traveled. There wasn't silence either, you could at least hear the distant hum of more active city life in the background. People moving, getting on with their lives, waiting for this eclipse to happen.
But within that subway where the greater kitsune shadow descended, there was just this uneasy tension in the air. Upon reaching the bottom, you would be greeted by dim lights barely hanging on to what little energy they had left, occasionally flickering every now and again before returning to illuminating the room with that dull grey. There wasn't the standard subway gates expecting tickets, but rather a large elevator shaft for a few people, leading straight down. There was no elevator, but rather a pit into something below. In the basking of the decaying lights, looking down there was the remains of the broken lift, and looking up were the snapped wires that used to hold it. To the side, which would be easily missed if one didn't stretch their head out, was an emergency ladder, leading down to the lower levels. It looked to be a long climb.
There was something snagged on a shard of metal on the opposite side of the elevator shaft - a piece of fabric no larger than the mobian hand. White of colour with the slightest speck of blood on the very edges.

Re: Halloween Week 2
Twilight walked in far enough to where he could see the elevator shaft. The light wasn't too much of a problem- his eyes flashed and glowed a faint red color. He didn't need the light. He leaned over and looked down, then looked across at the fabric. He tried to examine it as closely as he could from where he was standing. White and... blood. There was blood- just like the trail that lead them here.
Perhaps there was more down below. It took a bit of looking around, but he eventually saw the ladder. He looked at it for a while, then shrugged and jumped down- spreading his wings and descending slowly. It would still be a while until he safely reached the bottom of the shaft, but it was faster than climbing down- it took less energy to fall.

Re: Halloween Week 2
For Amber, the investigation just became a whole lot easier. Discovering it was a phone she held in her hands, she was about to open it when a salamander approached her, making her rather uncomfortable with the sudden company. And then he spoke, giving tips for the next steps to take, of which she only responded with a court nod. Thankfully he went away right after that, and she released a breath she didn't realize she'd held. It wasn't easy being a socially impaired mobian.
Scrolling through the contents of the phone, she found an unfinished text message that made her wonder about the nature of this assault. It seemed that this mobian was investigating just like she and many others were. But his journey was cut short. This brought questions to her head such as 'why' and 'what'. Also whether or not the same fate might also befall them.
Now this old abandoned subway mentioned in the text was one on the city outskirts which fortunately, she's heard of before. Victim of a mysterious bombing. And this mobian must've been on his way there when he was suddenly attacked. But then again, picking up voices from some mobians who'd found a bottle of something (she suspected chloroform) only strengthened her speculation. This mobian was on his way to investigate this old abandoned subway when he was attacked, battered around pretty badly, and then knocked out with chloroform. Turning her head to the direction of the city, she figured it was the only place to go.
Slipping the phone into her pocket, she jogged to the said station, took her only five minutes. The light of day was being replaced with the gloom of night. The eclipse. Winds blew, making her scarf dance, yet she did not waver. Through the park paths and alleyways, she encountered a gate in her way. Reaching out her hand, she gave it a small push, and with a creak, it swung open. Odd.
Now the entrance inside was quite narrow, but she figured this was the advantage of being a mobian; small enough to fit inside most anything. She walked through without much effort. Gazing at the descending stairway of the abandoned subway, she stepped inside without hesitation. Yet what surprised her though, was seeing a certain dark kitsune, already inside. "Twilight?" The word slipped out before she could stop it and her ears flattened to her head in surprise of her own voice.
Her eyes glanced about the eerie establishment. Lights flickering, yet she didn't need it anyway. A sudden chill ran up her spine, and that surprised her too.

Re: Halloween Week 2
It seem the investigation was moving forward. After finding out the bottle was indeed a bottle of Chloroform that he found, Ozzi decided to move on. He had noticed a group of people were heading into town to follow the trail of this mystery. What seem like an hour of walking to him, eventually brought him to the warehouse area, the gate open. Taking a few moments, Ozzi observed the area, noting how run down it was and seemed like something big happened here. Either way, he didn't know much being in the city for only a few weeks. With that, he lightly pushed the gate open and entered the area, studying the surroundings.
After discovering the warehouses wouldn't provide much help considering they were rusted shut almost, Ozzi glance over to the stairways of the old subway. As he approached he twitched a bit, something seemed a bit off about this place that seem to be upset Acai who was preached on his shoulder, whimpering a bit. "It'll be okay Acai." he turned to her and smiled as he pat her head. "Can you turn into a staff for me?" he asked in a gentle voice. Acai paused a bit, almost hesitated before she leaps off his shoulder, change quickly into a very decorative staff that he now held. With the staff in hand, he descended down into the old subway, minding his steps and keep his ears focus for any noises.
Once he made it down, he immediately notice that two other mobians had made it down the subway and headed over to them. "Found any clues?" he called out to them as he approached them.

Re: Halloween Week 2
Echo looked back and forth between the multitudes that began to descend into the subway.
Might as well join himself.
Standing up from the bench, he slipped his phone back into his pocket and made his way past the gates to the entryway of the subway. He remained quiet, which was odd for him. But it was probably for the best anyways. Taking his time down the stairs, he regrets having his flip phone with him- the dim light would have been too faint to even make a splotch of light a foot away from him. At least there was some light from here, so he would avoid tripping over something. Or someone.
Close to the railings, he approached the bottom in which the others seemed to have stopped. Had any of them seen him, he'd give a wave, a smile perhaps. Huh, he was really quiet today...

Re: Halloween Week 2
Unlike the upper floor, the floor that the shaft led to ended in a platform. Nature have reclaimed small bits and piece as green poked out from between the cracks of stone. Maps along the wall of where the tracks used to lead to. Old advertisements that had gone and in some spots were molding and rotting. Clearly old ones if anything. Now what could have been a busy station was empty, only the sounds of wind echoing through the dark tunnels on each end where the subway track lead to.
However it was noticeable that the place down here, was more stable lit than the upper floor. The lights, almost seeming new when looking to the right. But towards the left, all lights were as busted and broken as above, wires peeking out from some open ones that sparked.
On the ground the smallest drips and splotches of blood rested, leading towards the tunnel to the right. Towards the darkness, where if squinted closely, they would see a figure. Though in that shadow it was impossible to tell what it was.
Until it let out an ungodly sound that no mobian would be able to copy. If anything it sounded like somebody screaming while at the same time some rabid animal that squealed it's last breath called out. The figure previously in shadows darted out, it's body frail and thing. Almost seeming like a mobian skeleton with skin stretched over it. Limbs longer than they should be and empty sockets where the eyes would have been. The body in the slightest, both in build and facial features resembled one of the photos that had been shown on the news of the missing people.
With quick moves ti jumped up, fingers adhering to the ceiling as it crawled along it. High and closer towards those that were investigating this all. And with each move closer, they might be able to notice a soft blinking light from a metal looking collar around it's neck.
However how odd as it was, this...previously mobian being, had not a single drop of blood on it's body. Meaning that whatever had taking the most recent victim and left the trail, went into that tunnel.

Twilight quickly turned his attention to the mobian... thing that had showed itself soon after he had landed at the end of the shaft and gave a quick look around the area. He backed up to the end up the shaft, hitting a wall and folding his wings back in. The sudden screech and appearance of this thing was shocking to say the least. It didn't seem to be interested in him as he watched it climb up. Then his ears twitched, and Amber's voice reached him.
"Uh-" He started, still focused on the creature. "I'm down here- but you might wanna watch for the eldritch abomination headed your way."
He squinted and looked closer at the creature as it crawled up- noticing the light blinking on the collar around it's neck. As curious as he was, he figured he'd let the others deal with this thing.

Re: Halloween Week 2
Punk hadn't realised that he was lagging behind terribly, he quickly made his way down the god forsaken steps and quickly approached the unfortunate ones who had already went down. He came up behind them and Froze in place. "Hey guys sorry I was lagging behind I- OH GOD." He quickly tried to cover his mouth and ears and the same time, resulting in a flailing movement as he was in shock of this "creature" along with the terrible noise that was emitting. He tried to gasp and keep quiet at the same time "Pull it together Punk...cmon..." He stood by those talking and looked at the creature "Well this is...odd..." He gulped as his hands lit up with a white aura. "I don't wanna get hostile but..." Gulp. "I don't know what's coming next.."

Echo flinched and turned to the mobian figure as it emited it's terrifying cry, pupils dialated. He too stood completely still, but still watched as it clung to the ceiling and into the tunnel. Something straight from a horror movie.
Yet he didn't say a word.
Finally he snapped out of the fear, and raised his fists, ready to blast the thing with ear-bleeding sound.

The mangled scream affected Amber most of all. So loud and ear-piercing she hardly noticed the others or heard what Two said. It brought her to her knees almost immediately. One hand pressed to her ear, the other shakily rummaging through her pockets for ear plugs. She was unaware of Echo about to release a sound attack himself...
By then a loud ring had taken over. She didn't notice the creature climbing up on the ceiling. Yet she did let out a low growl, fangs bared behind her brown scarf. Why was it so hard to find a couple of ear plugs?

It sounded like nothing he's ever heard before. The poor Kudu's ears were ringing from the sound of the creature, his ears twitching rather violently and rapidly, an unfortunate thing considering he had large ears that were sensitive. He looked over to where Twilight had went down and figure that where the source of the strange sound came from.
"Its coming this way! We need to stop it!" he shouted to the group in the tunnel as he stared it down. Its was clear this had probably something to do with the missing people but to what degree Ozzi wasn't sure as there was no evidence of blood on the creature itself but did note a collar on it. Was it being controlled? Maybe guarding something? Either way it was now heading for them and seems like it was ready to shred anyone in its path.
Raising his decorative staff that was Acai, he stared down the beast, ready to fight, hoping that the other would join in and help him take it down.

Boubka jumped up out of fear when hearing the sound "WHAT THE-" With a giant shot of adrenaline, Boubka had goosebumps everywhere. It actually felt great. He was in a preparing stance. The stripe on his right hand was glowing green very heavily. Then he saw the "Creature thing" just like the others. Better watch out for that thing. He was ready to shoot a chaos bullet when it would move any closer. "Is it friendly? Hopefully it is friendly. Please let it be friendly right?" A short pause. "guys?"
