Doom of the World: Crazy appears Empty Doom of the World: Crazy appears

Rain. So much rain.

The sound of water clashing hard against the smooth surface of the palace area in which the squad were in was all that was audible. Metallic, along with Mark and Bow were all taking the full force of the rain. Metallic and Mark both had their own armor on, whereas Bow didn't fit any, and didn't need any in the first place. And he was a water dragon, so rain was a great thing to him.

Looking around the area, Metallic sulked slightly; they had came to the palace area to find a certain rogue madman, the robotic wizard. At least that was what he used to be referred to as. However times changed, and ever since his lab was shut down he'd been the vengeful, insane person he was today. Ex-Captain Jonathan Lockfield, or nicknamed as Captain Crazy for short, was a brown furred fox, who just so happened to be responsible for the condition of the planet.

"Any signs of him, Mark?" Metallic asked, a tone of clear irritance in his voice. Mark of course wished he could say yes, and then they'd all team up together and attack him at once. Mark knew one of the main reasons Metallic hated Crazy; he was responsible for his father's death. Robert Metallic was killed in action years ago, and as such Metallic had lost the last bit of connection he had left to his actual family.
With a little sigh, Mark shook his head slowly. "Negative... no sign of Crazy anywhere. I thought the status report said he'd be here."

With a shrug, Metallic put his plasma rifle back onto his back, it attaching like a magnet to the jetpack which was part of his armored suit. There was the sound of loud creaking in the distance, as part of the giant ruined palace collapsed into the water. Water Palace had once been a beautiful place, but ever since the war, it'd been a shadow of it's former self.
"The report did say tha-Er... something wrong, Bow?" Metallic asked the giant hulking dragon. The dragon looked around the area, specifically towards that creaking sound in the distance.
"Marble... it do not creak normal... metal do." Bow stated, narrowing his eyes towards the place the sound did come from.

Suddenly Metallic's mind went to alert. "Marble does creak sometimes, just not often... you're sort of right... but one thing that makes me wonder..." He began, as if he'd just reached an ultimate conclusion. "What if Crazy wanted us to be here? What if he deliberately made us think he was in this specific spot at this very moment?!" Metallic quickly drew his weapon, looking around the area with a worried expression. They were on top of a giant floating piece of rubble. At least, it seemed like it was floating. It had support underneath it. It was way too heavy to float on the surface.

In response, Mark drew his own weapon and looked around with Metallic.
"I think you might be a bit too paranoid, doc. It could just be a false report, it's not the first time it's happened." He tried to reassure, before another loud creaking sound was audible, coming from the same place as before...

Followed by another. And another. It was getting louder, as if, closer?

"Up!" Bow roared, pointing upwards, quickly running towards the other two who were looking upwards towards a giant figure which was plummetting downwards at a violent speed. Quickly Bow grabbed both of them in his massive hands, and leapt across to another, actually floating platform, sliding across the slippery floor as he landed.

And almost as soon as they made it across, the sound of a giant crash was heard, water splashing everywhere in a large outwards shockwave, as a huge metal beast firmly landed on the platform. Amazingly, the support underneath the platform remained intact, the giant beast not actually smashing it.

Slowly, it moved upwards with a loud creak, two giant spots lighting up orange as it's eyes, the figure becoming more clear. It was a giant metal mech, and it didn't look very friendly at all!

Metallic quickly pointed his gun at it, as did Mark, both having been put down, and Bow turned around, getting ready for whatever was going to come.
"How is that thing still floating?! That much weight should sink the marble float instantly!" Metallic demanded an explanation.

"No idea, but it doesn't look like it's here to explain anything!" Mark responded loudly, quickly running towards it, leaping, and firing a fully charged laser form the rifle in his hands, straight at the eyes of the giant mechanical beast. The laser literally bounced right back off. Good thing Mark was at an angle, because it would've came back and went straight through his armor. Apparently the mechanical beast had laser proof armor?!
"Wh-What the?!" Mark uttered, before being hit by a powerful swing from the mechanical beast, his armor taking a nasty hit, the hedgehog flying straight into the water and going deep down. Good thing it had a built in rebreather, or else he'd probably have drowned from being winded. Quickly, he kicked against the water, trying to get to the surface despite the heaviness of the armor. It was in vain though, since it was just too heavy.

Metallic looked up at the giant mechanical beast, and wasted no time firing at it with plasma shots. They didn't bounce off; they literally couldn't. They made quite a nasty mark on the robot, but it was so big that the plasma rifle would run out of ammunition before it made a noticeable impact.

The giant mech took a step backwards from Metallic, before suddenly it's giant arm pointed towards him, launching several missiles his way. Metallic quickly pulled out his laser pistol, and fired at the missiles out of instinct. Good instinct, because unlike the main armor alloy, the missiles were not laser proof, and exploded on contact with the laser shots, shaking the area up and producing large clouds of smoke. The explosions were literally right next to the robot.

Bow looked towards the smoke cloud and waited. It was obvious that it had survived the blasts. The eyes could faintly be seen through the smoke, and suddenly so could an arm, which collided head on with Metallic, sending him backwards into a marble wall so hard he went almost all the way through it. He gave a loud grunt of pain on impact, and quickly scraped out of the wall, metal screeching as he got out of the hole. Metallic quickly made it back to the platform, but kept his distance.
"A robot that strong shouldn't even exist... how is this even possible?!" Metallic was in a cold sweat, unsure how to beat it. Mark hadn't resurfaced yet either, so he must've been having some major trouble. Then again, the armor was way too heavy to swim in.

And instantly, without wasting any time, the mech attacked Metallic again with a powerful punch-The sound of metal screeching and bending was audible. Metallic winced slightly, and looked towards the giant arm. Incredibly, Bow was standing in place in front of Metallic, holding the giant arm firmly in his hands, crushing it slowly, managing to actually stay put on the ground. After a few moments, Bow pushed the giant mech backwards with great force, the mech almost toppling over. Almost. It stopped itself before it fell into the water just in time.

Beep beep beep...

The sound of a countdown was heard, before suddenly a loud whirring noise could be heard coming from the mech, it's chestplate opening.

"Oh... shi-Watch out!!" Metallic quickly started to run, hopping platform to platform, the marble floats sinking and rising everytime he landed, slowing him down, a giant beam of energy blasting out of the chestplate of the giant mech, following Metallic dangerously close, destroying the pillars and remains of the palace behind him. Bow had also started running, though he noticed the laser hadn't targetted him and quickly stopped, remaining on the defensive. The beam dissapated into thin air, and smoke came from the mech, before suddenly it's hand lunged out towards Metallic, the good hand of course, and got a firm grasp on the hedgehog, lifting him above the water and slowly but surely crushing his armor.

"AAGHHH!" Metallic yelled in agony, quickly activating the armor's shockwave of electricity. Nothing. The grasp didn't let up. Quickly, Bow leapt at the arm, but got hit by the one he previously crushed, and was sent flying into the water, resurfacing immediately. He climbed onto the platform, but by the time he did it was almost too lat-.

A loud explosion was heard coming from underneath the water, as the mech's iron grip slightly let up, the giant beast collapsing down into the water with the giant platform, the support having been completely demolished by none other than Mark. The monster sunk down into the water, and apparently wasn't very friendly to water when it's armor was penetrated, suddenly shorting out and falling to pieces, bubbles and bursts of water shooting upwards with every minature explosion, Metallic fighting against the grasp desperately, and breaking free successfully. His armor was broken so badly he had no ability to use the rebreather, and since he had very little ability to swim he was pretty much stuck down there holding his breath.

On the surface, Bow looked at the falling mech, and quickly leapt in after Metallic, grabbing a tight hold of him and then Mark, bringing them both back to the surface, only for them all to be greeted by a familiar voice.

"How could you?! How could you destroy my Monolith?!" Yelled a figure in the distance.

Mark was probably the only one fully able bodied at that moment, quickly pointing his rifle towards the figure, and firing. It was Crazy, of course, and that meant that it wouldn't be as easy as that. Suddenly a big shield appeared around the figure, the laser being absorbed by it.

"...Ah ah ah~ you should know better than that, you insect!" Crazy said out loud, extremely cockily.

"...Wh-What makes you think you can take all of us on alone, you madman...?! We just destroyed your precious mech." Metallic said, getting to his feet and pointing his plasma rifle towards the hovering fox.

Crazy grinned... "Believe me... I don't intend to fight you alone. Not with this little equipment." He said, before immediately... "You don't think that was the only one, do you? You can't be that unintelligent. But then again you are still serving the City of Independence's Military... tsk..."

Mark and Metallic, even Bow got a sudden shocked expression. "You don't mean..."

"Yes! I mean exactly that! Come, come my Monolith creations~! Come out and play with these three." Crazy called out.

In mere moments, the sound of metal creaking was audible, as one came over the horizon, and another fell from the sky, landing on a floating platform, and sinking a few feet downwards before rising back up, followed by one that even came up from the surface of the more shallow area of the palace... three of them. All equally as powerful as the one they had trouble with.

Crazy then pointed his wrist toward the trio, and chuckled... "Any last words, boys?"
He asked, beginning to laugh. He had them for definite.

"We can't fight all of them, our weapons aren't strong enough. What do we do?" Mark said quietly to Metallic. The hedgehog looked towards Mark, and then the water.

"We run and move under the water as fast as we can. Bow, you need to swim us both as far away from here as possible, as fast as you can, but don't stay under too long, my rebreather's broken." Metallic replied, ready to jump for it.

"Time's up. Fire already." Crazy commanded.

"RUN!" Metallic screamed, running towards the water, as did Mark, Bow following closely behind, grabbing both of them in his massive hands, and leaping into the water, swimming as fast as possible away from the three 'Monolith' machines, rockets and lasers and explosions all around them, a literal firework show going on above the water...

Had they met their ends?
