Just Like A Mirror

A light blue wolf walked down a strange path upon a city that she had visiting. At the time, she just wanted to get away from her past life. As she strode, she watched many Mobians with suitcases walk in large clumps on the side walk. 

As they walked past her, they aggressively pushed. "Hey!" She yelped. "Watch it!" She then tumbled out of the crowd and bumped into someone. "S-Sorry." The wolf said as she tried to stand up.

The black and blue Hedgefox stood his ground as she bumped into him and quickly caught her "Thats alright, it happens all the time in this hustle and bustle city..." he smiled and brought her on her feet. He was 7 feet tall and had spiky hair all over his head. He wore a orange and blue trenchcoat which reached down below his black jeans and too his boots, He also carried a silver umbrella. "Ah you seem lost? Am i correct?"

The light blue wolf brushed out her clothes. She then looked around to notice that.... maybe she had gotten lost. "Maybe, maybe not." She said as she rubbed the back of her neck. Her eyes lit up as she looked over to his umbrella. "What'cha need that for?" She asked. She then cleared her throat. "If.. you don't mind me asking that is."

"For...Appropriate Reasons I cannot tell you in public..." He looked her in the eyes and held out a hand "Names Karma, Just Karma..." His eyes were Red but faint with a light blue circling around them.

She looked up at him with her sliver eyes but quickly looked down at his hand. "Uhh- You can call me Echo." She said as her tail swept from side to side. She then clasped her hand with his and shook it. "Well... if you can't say why outside... why don't we grab a drink?" She said trying to engage a conversation.

He raised his eyes in surprise "Um...I dont know...but i guess im not doing anything so, why not?" His mouth curled into a smile as his tail curled up behind him and tucked itself into his backpocket.

Echo looked around. "Well... I'm not from around here So... I have no clue where anything is." She said as she looked up at him. "Anything would do really. I'm up for whatever you want."

His eyes literally glowed for a seconds before straightening his eyes "Er, theres a cafe down the street, probably the best coffee and apple strudels."
He smiled "Mind if i hold your hand?"

She blinked a bit before she could respond. "Uhmm. Y-Yea." She held her hand out to him. "You just lead the way."

He looked at her "Sorry if this feels awkward...heck we just met like ten minutes ago..."
Karma seemed delighted as they walked down the street. They eventually made it to the cafe and he opened the door for her.

"Why, thank you." She said as she walked past him. 

She then immediately blushed as a sweet aroma filled her nose. "It smells so good in here!" Her tail moved rather quickly.

"I love this shop so much...it was here when this city was just a town..." The desk held a jar of sweet honey lollipops. A young human teenager stood at the counter "Mornin', What can I do for you too." The atmosphere was friendly and clean as the teen smiled.

Echo went over to the counter and rested her elbows on the counter, looking up at the billboard with drinks and sides. "I'll have... the almond coffee cake and...." She stuck her tongue out to think. "And... a caffe marocchino~" She then dipped her head back to see what her new friend wanted.

He looked back at her "Oh, I would like a vanilla bean Frappuccino, Its all on me." He winked and lowered his umbrella to go sit down.

"You don't have to do that.." She said blushing a bit. She then made her way over to the table he was at. She then sat across from him and crossed her feet. "So," She rested her head in her hands. "What's with the umbrella?"

"Er, well...are you sure you want to know?" now in the shade his eyes had circles under them and his red eyes seemed a little brighter "Well if you want to know..." He whispered and came to her ear "Im a vampire...the sun hurts me...i also have the power to shrink and grow but that has nothing to do with the umbrella..."

"Ohhh.." She said as she blinked several times. Their order came up, and the man who stood at the counter delivered the food. "Thank you~" Echo said as she cupped her hands around the mug. 

"So... do you not garlic? Or oh! Can you see yourself in the mirror or do you sleep in a coffin!?"


The small wolf was dazed by her new friend.

He blinked "Too be honest, Vampire lore is somewhat true." He scratched his head "I just sleep in a real bed and hate garlic, But everyone hates garlic...But i do suck blood..."

"Oh..?" She slightly flinched, but she tried not to show it. "Is it.... Is it weird...?" She asked as she ate some of her coffee cake.

"Dont be afraid...i dont drink innocent peoples blood...and yes it feels cold but when your a vampire it makes you refreshed but dissatisfied at looking at the body..."

He scratched his head drinking his frappuccino.

She took a sip of her drink. "I see." She then looked over to her small plate of coffee cake and scooped up a small piece. "Want some?"

"Sure, Why not." He smiled and took it from echo "So, Tell me more about you."

"Umm." She took another bit of her cake, chewing it thoroughly, giving her time to think. "Well, ah, What do you want to know..?"

"Anything special, History last name,...powers..." He grinned showing her his white teeth and vampiric fang

"Hmm... Let's see." She tapped her fingers on the table. "My name is Echo Eacret. I'm eighteen, umm... and I'm a mimic. Nothing too special there if you ask me." She said as she pushed her empty plate away.
