Archie Sonic's Name

So, anyone who reads Archie, or has read stuff on it knows that in the comics, "Sonic" is not Sonic's real name. His real name is a mystery, and "Sonic" is just a nickname, like how Tails' real name is Miles. That in it's own is a little pestering to me. But what's worse is that they gave the middle name of "Maurice"... Am I the only one bothered by this? I really think that they should've just stuck to the fact that his name is Sonic the Hedgehog, and that's that.

I agree that I do find it odd, but i believe archie writers were taking their own liberties, and assuming as such. (probably because someone wouldnt actually name their kid Sonic)

Shhhhh, it makes perfect sense. Sonic as a nickname for his amazing speed, Maurice being his real name. Sorta similar to Tails except from Sonic just doesn't mention his real name at all. 8D

I'm not too bothered by it. Sonic is just a teenager, and having such an embarrassing secret is most likely normal in my book, besides it was a joke for only a few issues...now things are too serious to be using such kid jokes.
