A Gamble of Heart (Open to everyone) Empty A Gamble of Heart (Open to everyone)

Tick, tick, tick...
A pocket watch lay in the hands of a wolf leaning up against a tree in the park, his eyes fixated on the deck of cards he was fiddling with in his left hand. He gripped the deck and studied the back of the cards, the white pattern swirling pattern on the black background.
Tick, tick, tick...
Wander's ears twitched and he jammed the pocket watch into his right pocket. He looked up at the rest of the city, and the citizens going about their daily routines, not a heart he would consider stealing in any one of the citizens. He shuffled his deck of cards and carefully placed the 54 of them into a pouch strapped to his belt.
It was silent. Not a word was spoken around him, not even a rustle of the leaves was present.
Ideas shuffled around in his head, but he knew his ultimate goal was to obtain a proper heart. It was something he'd never seen before, but he heard of them and their power. Being born heartless, he made it his goal to obtain one of these fascinating objects.

(A "heart" translates to a soul, basically. Wander is a "shadow", he was created without a heart. He possesses impulses and goals but his emotions are not concrete.)

Always keep an eye on the sky. You never know what will show up.

Or more, drop down. It was a silhouette at first, black in colour from such a distance with its wings flapping rhythmically against the wind. You wouldn't think much of it, except maybe it looked a bit like a snake. You'd pass it by, not bat an eye, look down and continue with your life.

Look up again, you'd see it getting closer. Concerningly It wasn't a snake no, but more had the body shape of a long-bodied dragon. Very thin, and at first glace you would assume it male due to the lack of feminine features. Dark blue scales adorned its body with a long, pointed snout. The skin on its wings a pale green, which also matched the colours of both its sharp clawed hands and feet, and the spines across its back, trailing down to the tip of its long tail. What was odd that its eyes were covered with a green, thin membrane, Most likely natural protection against heavy rain and hail.

It looked like a dragon, but it was debatable if it actually was one.

The creature slammed down with... a surprisingly light touch. Landing on all fours it was, well, somewhat large. Chest-height to a normal mobian when on all fours. On two legs? The beast towered over mobians. It looked ruthless. Intimidating. Claws sharp enough to cut through flesh like butter.

Rear squishy enough to plop itself down on the grass in front of a tree, lean back, reach inside the satchel around its waist, pull out a book and begin to read.

Well, that was anti-climatic.
