Backstory
Kai was just an average Mobian. He loved everyone and everything. At the tender age of 18, he left home to travel the world. Little did he know, that it was that decision that was going to change his life completely.

It was just an average sunny Sunday and Kai was walking through the forests. He loved forests because he loved the nature that inhabited it. Well...that and it was the only place he could go to meditate without anyone bothering him.

He sat in a nice, sunny area of the forest that was clear of the canopy of leaves. His eyes were closed and his legs were crossed. To the side of him were his shoes. He loved to meditate barefoot, as he felt closer to nature that way. He listened to the world unfold around him, not knowing that minutes later...his world will be torn up and thrown in the bin.

Moments later, he heard the whirring of engines as a robotic creature landed infront of him. Kai opened his eyes to reveal the robot standing and holding a gun at him. From looking at it, you could clearly tell it was one of Dr. Eggman's creations.

"In the name of Dr. Eggman. You will surrender and come with me." The robot said, in a dull, monotone voice.

Kai, being of a very stubborn nature, completely refused and tried to run. He managed to get about ten metres before he felt a very sharp pain in his neck, followed by a cool, numbing sensation that spread from his neck to his whole body. His vision become very blurry before...darkness. The robot had shot a tranquillizer dart at him and Kai was lying motionless on the floor. It picked Kai up, before returning back to the base.

Kai woke up a few hours later with a thumping headache. It was like a train had hit him. After he regained vision, he inspected his surroundings. He was in a glass tube. Above him was only a florescent light, but it felt like a search light, blinding him. He climbed to his feet. He was still barefoot and the floor felt like it was on fire! He looked outside the tube to find the robot and the evil Doctor himself standing at the control panel. At this point, Kai realized where he was. He was in the Roboticizer. Kai banged on the glass in an attempt to break free, but it was no use. The Doctor just laughed at his attempt.

"Heheheheeee! Bang all you want, hedgehog. You won't be getting out of this one in a hurry!" The Doctor cackled, before pressing a button. In a instant, the blinding florescent lighting in the tube switched off to reveal a blinding neon green glow from a ring that surrounded the tube.The tube slowly descended over Kai, blinding him as it did. At this point, Kai had surrendered and was standing in the tube to await his fate and trying to come to terms with his, soon to be, new body.

As the ring descended, his fur started to crackle with static, followed by an unbearable pain, followed by a cold numbness.

Minutes later, his whole body was now completely metallic. He kept screaming to himself, "He can take my body, but he will not take my mind!" over and over again. Suddenly, the machine grinded to a halt and Kai fell to the ground, unconscious. He was completely robotic. but for some reason...he still retained his free will. His skin was replaced with stainless steel. His eyes were replaced with glass and they glowed a very bright neon green to symbolize his activation status. He still had his waist coat and gloves on. They didn't get transformed into metal.

"What?! No! Something is not right! He should be standing! WHY ISN'T HE STANDING AND ADDRESSING ME!?" The evil Doctor screamed.

The robot went over to Kai and scanned him. "Results show that the roboticisation was not successful."

"Ugh!" He walked over to Kai and growled. "Don't think you'll be getting off lightly, hedgehog. When I get this thing working, you'll be going in for round two!" He turned to the robot. "Take him to a cell!" The Doctor demanded, and with that...the robot obeyed.

The robot picked Kai up and slung him over his shoulder, before walking out of the lab. They were travelling down the corridor when Kai came too. He felt physically different. Of course he would. He was now a robot! He needed to escape...somehow. Luckily...he saw that that robot that was carrying him had a control panel on it's back. He opened it and pushed a few buttons before the robot fell down to the ground with a thud. Kai didn't know what he id,but he took it as an opportunity to get the heck outta there. He jumped up and made his way to a nearby window. He climbed up and jumped out of it, before making a run for it. Of course..he had no idea where he was going, but let's be honest...anywhere was better that that place!

He spent almost a week trying to find some sort of civilization, before resting up in anther forest nearby Station Square. he crawled into a cave and tried to catch up with what had happened. He hated his new body. It suddenly dawned on him that he'd never be able to go home in fear of being destroyed by it's residents. He laid back against a wall and stared into space before finally deactivating due to lack of battery power.

Weeks went past, until a hedgehog stumbled across him. Her name was Electra. He was badly weathered with moss and grass growing out of him. She reactivated him and took him to the city. From there, he managed to get set up with an apartment and a robotic girlfriend. He never spoke much of his past, just focussed on trying to make the best out of his new lifestyle. Of course...he still hates the fact that he is a robot, but there was no turning back now.
