Riddle Me This!
So! Riddles! A lot of people like the mental challenges of these guys! Before we do this, I gotta lay down some rules so this is as smooth running as possible!
RULE NUMBER ZERO (The most important): Have fun! Don't go full grump if you guess wrong! A lot of these riddles have stupidly simple (and just plain stupid) answers, so don't worry!
RULE NUMBER ONE: Do not use Google to find the answers. If you do, you are a horrible person.
RULE NUMBER 2: Discussion about the riddle is allowed, but asking me questions about the riddle is not. But asking if your answer is correct? Sure. Work with your peers! Meet people! Be social!
RULE NUMBER 3: If a riddle is solved, I will post a new one shortly after. Otherwise I will post one roughly every week.
RULE NUMBER FOUR: Keep conversations on topic at least some of the time.
Okay! RIDDLE TIME!
Slick Steve wants to get into a club but is turned away by the bouncer because the club is full. However, when Steve goes and looks into the window, he can tell that there isn't a single person in there. How is this possible?

Re: Riddle Me This!
The club only allows couples inside.
Unfortunately Steve is Single and there isn't a single person inside the club.

IT'S RIDDLE TIME!
A private detective is chasing a criminal down to the docks. The criminal, spotting a ferry a distance from the docks, throws his bag of cash on to the ferry, then jumps on the ferry as well. The criminal turns around and gives a triumphant smile to the detective. A man then walks next to the criminal and says something, changing the criminal's face from triumph to defeat. What did the man say to cause it?
Give it a shot! Just toss your guess in here! C'mon, let's get more than two people!

Re: Riddle Me This!
I feel like there are far too many logical answers for this to be a... riddle?
The man could very easily have been a police officer and told the criminal he was under arrest? Which of course would have resulted in the criminals smile changing to a frown of defeat?

Re: Riddle Me This!
The original riddle was highly specific, and as such was not a challenge. You were right about the expression, but the reason? Nope. The riddle is now easier. You've got half!

Re: Riddle Me This!
The place he robbed was a toy store and his bag of cash is actually a bag of fake toy money? 8D

Re: Riddle Me This!
The ferry was heading back to the docks instead of leaving the harbour, so he's lead directly back to the investigator instead of running away?

Re: Riddle Me This!
Uh... Wow... Right on the nose! You're correct! The ferry was heading in, not out.

Re: Riddle Me This!
Thank you! Dione, good job! Wolf, keep going!
But now, it is time for...
RIDDLE NUMBER THREE!
An adventurer has retrieved stolen gold balls. While making his escape, he comes across a rather rickety rope bridge. A sign on the bridge says "MAX WEIGHT 183 POUNDS". The adventurer weighs 168 pounds, while the two gold balls weigh ten pounds each. After quickly thinking, the adventurer makes it across the bridge safely with the two balls. How?
Let's get those brains thinking!

Re: Riddle Me This!
The Adventurer weighs 168 pounds with the balls included? So the adventurer without the balls weighs 148 pounds and with the balls weighs 168 pounds?
Re: Riddle Me This!
The uh...
pfft, the sign was refferring to a dude named Max and was simply stating how much Max weighed. XD
In seriousness, the sign is on the bridge, is it possible that it may have wieghed a good 5 pounds and simply taking the sign off the bridge would have allowed the adventurer to make their way across?

Re: Riddle Me This!
I like the thinking! But no, the sign applies to all, and is not weighing the bridge down.

Re: Riddle Me This!
Just to make sure this is correct
the gold balls weigh 10 pounds each, not worth 10 pounds each?
and the adventurer 'makes it across the bridge', rather than 'makes it to the other side of the bridge'?

Re: Riddle Me This!
Yes. They weigh ten pounds. US weight system. Makes it across the bridge.

Re: Riddle Me This!
Ok, sorry about that. Thought I might be on to something. 10 British Pounds of gold is not a lot of weight so :T
Uhhhh
He uh... I imagine the bridge is too long for him to shotput them but I imagine he could uhh Juggle them? I guess since then only 1 ball is technically weighing down the bridge at a time... if that actually since balls spend most time in the air when juggling?
