A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

Post by The Red Blur Thu May 25, 2017 12:12 am

Caen stood his ground, arms spread outwards as the Motobug continued heading towards the queue of people patiently waiting in line. He expected the machine to at least slow down, to perhaps attack the hedgehog, but contrary to these expectations, it sped up, causing Caen to step back, bringing his arms down, and into a combat position.

He was about to click his fingers to summon a flame when the robot suddenly skidded to a halt. The hedgehog let out a gentle sigh, thinking it had run out of power.

Suddenly, it sprang to life again, driving in small circles, kicking dust and smoke everywhere, mostly on Caen. When it began to speed off again, Caen coughed up a cloud of dust, before realising how this dirt would affect his white jacket.
Caen gritted his teeth, about to give chase after the metallic ladybug, when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned his head slightly, seeing the same wolf from earlier, still dressed head to toe in black. She held her finger to her lips, scanning the surroundings. Why did she want him to stay quiet?

Almost on cue, she pointed towards a fox, holding a rather large controller, standing not too far from the machine. He nodded, saying "right," he replied, walking at a brisk pace, trying to stay out of sight.

The Siberian's ears visibly perked for a moment at the appropriate name of 'chao'. She knew she'd been close with her guess! After being invited to sit and receiving something of an explanation of Melody's social nature, the feline stepped over to the blanket laid out on the grass.

"S'alright, I've known a couple people that're the saaame way," she admitted as she rather quickly dropped down to sit cross-legged across from Yukiko. The bag and water bottle in her paws were both set down in front of herself as well. She gave a nod to the introduction, looking from the leopard over to the chao.

"Sounds good," the tiger replied, "Easy to remember." She gave a reassuring smile as the other felid appeared nervous again after having trailed off. "And I'm Cassandra, though I figure Cass is less of a mouthful." She smirked a little bit, opening up her bag and pulling out an onion ring.

"It's nice to meet you both," Cassandra added, glancing to each of them before taking a crunching bite from the onion ring in her paw.

However, rapid movement out of the corner of her eye drew her gaze and she found herself looking to see that strange one-wheeled bug doing its best to cause a scene near a food stand. For several more moments, she just watched it curiously, flicking the tip of her tail beside her.

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

((Sorry for the late reply, and the short post. My weekend has been a tad busy.))

Storm felt a jolt as the wolf locked eyes on him. Oh well, play it off. He looked to his left, then to his right, searching around him, as if convinced the two were looking for someone else entirely standing right next to him. And with his final glance behind turning up nothing, he shrugged and pointed to himself, face knotted with mock confusion, hands (and RC controller) held out to his sides as if questioning what they were staring at him for.

Who? Me?

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

It seemed like the wolf didn't like talking that much. That should be clear enough by now. Still, her expressions told him a lot, especially about the fact that she wasn't that happy about Bou's answer. Oh. Maybe she was more curious about why he has that thing on his hand. Well heck how could he know? She didn't really ask him. He wanted to try again with answering her question, but before he could, the wolf seemed a bit occupied.

Bou himself didn't really bother about the dust on his pants. He actually seemed pretty passive about the whole thing, not even preparing to defend himself, but the wolf really did seem to get annoyed. If it was because of the dust, or the loud hedgehog, something seemed to piss her off. He could feel it. There was quite some tension drawn to the wolf. He got shushed. Rather rude, but he didn't feel like interupting. That could cause some more havoc. He didn't know what the wolf was capable of. Now she even shushed the hedgehog.

The wolf gestured at a fox with a controller. Bou wasn't entirely clear about why she made him come to them at first. It took him a few moments, while the other had already figured it out. "...Oh! Is he piloting it?" He asked, seriously not knowing for sure. The red hedgehog started sneaking around. Where they...gonna attack it? He quickly mentioned something to both of them. "You don't necessarily have to hurt them. You do know that right?" He saw both of the two before with a combat stance, so you could never be too sure. "A nice word with the guy should probably be enough." The fox with the console replied to the wolf's gesture. He shouted towards him in a joking fashion: "Yes you, the one with the disrupting gadget! Come over here will ya!"

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

The name of the tigress actually had somewhat surprised Yukiko. She didn't know why, but she had pegged her as having a name thatvwas a little more common. It was a pleasant surprise, Cassandra was a beautiful name.

The volet feline twitched her tail slightly before following the females glance over towards the motobug that was terrorizing the others around the park who were nearer it, and found her attention ever so slowly finding it's way to a fox a little ways away from it holding an unsusual controller. Was this the one giving the robot orders? And for what purpose?

Melody had floated up to follow the other twos vision and squeaked in glee at the big shiny bit rolling around the park. To her, the metal bug looked like a fun person to talk to, and before anyone knew it, she turned back towards the two, waved and then set off happily towards the robot through the air.

Yukiko had just turned back to take a bite out of a small trianglular sandwich before looking to find Melody wasn't in her usual spot on the small blanket.
"Melody?" She questioned aloud. "Melody! Oh no,  where did you go?"

The snow leopard picked up her large hat in case the small white chao had decided to try and play hide and seek, but she wasn't there. The stood up to take a look around anywhere nearby, only to find no trace of her tiny companion anywhere. Then, just as she thought she couldn't get anymore worried, she looked back over to the motobugs general area and saw the familiar white and blue ball floating in the same direction. "Melody!"

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

((Apologies for the huuuuge delay! I am a mess.))

The grey wolf paused for a moment as Boubka spoke up from behind her - noting a lack of a requirement for violence. She turned her head to the side slightly - allowing a clear view to the fox of a single affirmative nod. Or... was it an affirmative? Or just a small form of acknowledgement? It was hard to tell, especially with that neutral expression. Either way, they seemed pretty certain of themself.

Lifting a hand, she clamped it down on Caen's shoulder as the hedgehog attempted to take his leave. The grip was... it wasn't tight, but it was certainly firm. Not holding him in place, so much as acting as an instruction; You will wait.
It was worth noting, her grasp seemed... surprisingly strong for a figure of her build. And there was the distinct feeling there that, had she intended, it could've felt a LOT stronger...

And yet through all this, her gaze had not left Storm. Indeed, she didn't seem to've even blinked - and his reaction had not drawn much in the way of relent from her. Instead she simply raised her free hand again... and gestured for him to come over to them.

As Caen began to move, the fox had noticed him. That much was noticeable from the fact that he was now pretending to look around, before pointing to himself. As the hedgehog opened his mouth to speak, he heard another voice raise the point that neither he nor the wolf next to him would have to hurt this fox.

Caen glanced back, chuckling as he walked "I'm not going to hurt him, just have a friendly cha-"
The hedgehog was cut off when he felt pressure on his shoulder, bringing him to a stop, he looked in that direction and saw that same wolf. It felt as though she was... Commanding him to stop? Caen gritted his teeth at the sheer cheek.

At that point he noted that she wasn't even looking at him. "Look, I thank you for pointing out the perpetrator, but I'm not going to use any violence. Please, let go of me." He said, with a rather commanding tone.

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

Post by Froshana Thu Jun 15, 2017 4:31 am

As the two felines both sat there, observing the unfolding situation with the motobug, Cassandra eventually finished off that first onion ring, then reached into the bag, taking out a paper-wrapped burger. Just looking at it was almost enough to make the tiger's mouth water.

It was while she was starting to unfold the sandwich that Melody fluttered away to chase after the motobug. Cassandra's ears registered the sound the chao made, but she, like Yukiko, didn't see the little creature take off. The tigress didn't even notice her absence until Yukiko began to called Melody's name and search for her, prompting Cassandra to do the same. She only caught sight of the chao just before the snow leopard did and, as a result, had no time to say anything through her current mouthful of food. She made no move to get up either, figuring Yukiko would pursue her escaping... pet? Companion. Companion seemed a better word. Yukiko would certainly pursue her escaping companion aaaand Cassandra could watch and... hold their place.

Sure, that seemed logical enough in the feline's mind.

Really, she just was not about to be dragged away from the double bacon cheeseburger she was grasping in her paws.

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

This whole situation was escalating a little too quickly for the fox's tastes. He cocked an eyebrow and glimpsed down at a small child walking past, ice cream in hand, mostly oblivious to what was going on around him.

"I think she's looking at you little guy." The fox said to the small child, gesturing towards the rather commanding figure of the wolf with a tilt of his head. Carefully and subtly, he began so slink back towards the line of ice cream patrons behind him.

The kid blinked at the fox for a moment, confused, before returning to his ice cream. Obviously, the fox hadn't been talking to him, right?

That fox...was so...dense...My goodness. Bou was getting pretty confused. Was the guy playing an act? Or was he really that dumb? Nevertheless, there was still some sense of danger. The only thing he could do right now was wait and see when to kick in, because the red hedgehog wasn't too fond of physical contact.

It was all rather tense for some reason. Maybe it was because of the wolf's silence that still made it tense. His eyes were still glowing, but he had to wait. Wait for the right moment.

(really sorry for the late post, but I couldn't come up for anything to type, seeing as nothing's really there for Bou to do.)

A Hot Park Mess - Page 2 Empty Re: A Hot Park Mess

Post by ForevaYoung Mon Jun 26, 2017 6:09 pm

The frantic flapping of wings belonging to the tiny white and blue Chao sounded as she made a beeline for the Motobug away from the two felines she was previously sitting with. The machine looked like a giant toy to Melody, and she wanted to have a go on it.
Calls of her name sounded from the violet leopard owner, only to fall on deaf ears as the small creature focused on her destination. Before too long, she made it to the controlled bot and landed just in front of it.

"Chaoooo! Chi chick kikkk chao kik kiko!"

Melody waved and began talking to the Motobug, only for it to not respond naturally, and earning a confused symbol to emerge from the little light blue bauble floating above her head. Why was the toy not replying to her? She didn't understand, but then again being a baby meant she still didn't know the difference between a living being and what was a machine.
An exclamation appeared as a joyful expression formed on Melody's face as she took flight to land on the top of the bugs 'head' and began cheering as she tried to find a way to hold on to it.

Meanwhile, back up at the blanketed area Yukiko was still with Cassandra. She watched, ready to spring into action if the bot were to attack the tiny happy creature. She sighed in relief when the bot merely stood harmless as Melody explored around the machine none the wiser.
Things looked to be fine, but still, Melody was a baby Chao and needed to be shown that wandering off like that wasn't allowed.

"I apologise, but I will be a moment." Yukiko turned to Cassandra and bowed lowly before dashing off to recover the white bubble of giggles. Once she got there, she looked around to see if she could spot who it was controlling the object of her companions attention again, before spotting the same fox holding the controller now being pointed at by a dark wolf.
'At least the owner hasn't seen this. Who knows what would happen if she broke something?' The violet female thought worriedly. She stepped forward to pick up Melody, getting a cry of surprise and the most adorable pout when she was getting taken away from her newfound toy.
