Willow looked at her own paw. "It can..." She said picking up her wand and book

There was nothing in her paw to explain the temporary, odd sensation.

The next two basic spells were Spark and Flicker, both under the lightning school of magic.

"that was....Weird..." "A spark?"

Autumn wasn't sleeping beside her.

Legion asked for her wand. "Let me demonstrate."

"where are they ?" Willow got up. Viola gave her wand to him.

It was at this moment Autumn came back home, with Lotus right behind him.

The smell of fresh bread filled the room.

"Up already?" Autumn said. "Huh. And here I wanted to make you breakfast in bed."

Since Legion was an illusion graduate and one of the courses he took was 'Personal Wand Statures', he could hold it in pretty much any way and still use it.

So, like any other person with his skill would do, he showed off.

The wand crackled and a blue, jagged line erupted from the wand, striking the wall with a low, hum-like noise.

"well I can always stay in bed if you'd like" "WHOA!! That was really awesome!!"

"Nah, it's fine," Autumn says, smiling. "I got a job at a bakery and I get to take a few of the produce home for practically nothing."

Legion handed her the wand back. "I have to admit, I find lightning the coolest of all magic."

"I still need a job" "I always thought ice was the coolest magic"

"I checked and apparently, we're oficially married, even though I don't remember signing anything," Autumn informed her. "Which means we can't work together in the same place."

Legion laughed. "I mean, if you say it like that, is it true!"

"that's fine. I just need a job." "I thought it was"

"You should check up with the guy that manages them," Autumn says. "He is a councillor and yes, Orchid does have the most power."

Legion smiled. "It literally is – that's what I was laughing about."

"can i go now?" "Oh. Heh yeah"

"Yeah, I'm not keeping you, am I?"

"Can't I've heard of this 'Flicker' spell, though."

"sorry I forgot where I'm supposed to go" "we can find out in this book."

"Biggest building in the city, remember?"

The book described Flicker as an 'extremely short, lightning-charged jump in the caster's desired direction'. It also warned casters not to Flicker into walls.

"oh yeah..Well see you later..." Willow then left to go find the big building. "So it's like.. Teleportation?"

Now that they knew who she was, the guards allowed her in, the same way they did any authorized citizen. No need to disguise and go donning disguises.

The councillor responsible for giving jobs was on the ground floor.

"Yeah, I suppose that's the closest comparison you can make," Legion agreed. "Very close range teleportarion."

Willow tried to go to the councilor. "You never know when you're going to need that"

The guards let her in and closed the door behind her.

It was just a regular, well-furnished office. The councillor, sitting behind a table, even had a suit and tie on. "Welcome!" he greeted her with a smile. "Please, have a seat."

"I'm actually surprised that they'd include an useful spell in what's supposed to be a spellbook for complete beginners," Legion theorized. "You could probably charge into someone with this as a surprise attack."

Willow sat down. "Good morning." "You think all the other students are super good at magic since they get books like this when they are small?"

"You're Willow, Autumn's wife and Lotus's adoptive mother, correct?" The councillor took out a file that contained all the information they had at her. "Past criminal record only includes an attempted break in and wounding of two soldiers."

"sorry about that. They took away all the kitsunes that we had freed from soul stones. The other councilor wanted to kill them all and she kidnapped them and the kid. I had to go to the source. " Wendigo looked at the spell more

"Uh-huh," the councillor mumbled. "Any past working experience?"

The last two practice spells were Boil and Chill, from the Ice and Fire school of magic, respectively.

They were grouped together because both of them, once used, would shoot a continues wave of cold or hot air for a short while from the wand.

Given enough time, they could, well, chill or boil something.
