Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Dione Thu Sep 08, 2016 8:45 pm

(This is a closed non-canon rp in a dystopian future, 20 years from now. Posting order: Dione, Tala, Boubka, Bailen, Shiloh)

(Aaalright! Try number two, this time with a bit of planning ahead of us heh. Let's just jump in, shall we~?)

It had been ten years since Robotnik found six out of seven Chaos Emeralds and his metal army, powered by the energy the Emeralds provided, had taken over the world. Mobius had fallen into anarchy. Cities were destroyed, forests wiped out, many people and Mobians were killed. Amongst the deceased Mobians were Sonic and his crew. Robotnik had developed such a new kind of technology that even they could not stand against it. Only with survival skills and a lot of luck, some people managed to survive.

Five years ago, the war ended and with this, Robotnik's life ended too. His robots went haywire and turned against him. They were programmed to kill and so they did. Their programming crashed and the robots went on a killing spree, bringing even more destruction to the already heavily damaged planet. Everywhere they went they burned down forests, poisoned the meadows, polluted the water. Life was getting harder and harder.

Two years after Robotnik's death, the robots started to build more of themselves, multiplying if you will. After a few months it became clear they were behaving like bees. As if there was a queen ruling them all. The robots became more violent and aggressive over time and they started patrolling the streets, killing everyone in sight. All living beings had to hide or extermination would await them. Every attempt on taking down the robots and trying to save Mobians from extinction ended badly to say the least. Many had gone and tried to break into the beehive but until now, everyone had failed. None had returned from this horrible place and none had been able to tell what it was like.

Life seemed hopeless, death was everywhere. Food was scarce and clean water was very rarely found. As mentioned before, the cities were destroyed. Station Square had suffered the same fate. Most buildings were either burned down or completely beaten to rubble. Some taller buildings managed to stay standing and provided shelter to the survivors. The air was filled with smoke and dust from the still continuing destruction. The dust and smog formed large clouds which blocked the sun for the bigger part and ash covered the ground, preventing any plants from growing, or even sprouting.

The outskirts of the city had transformed into a burned wasteland. All the forests were gone, there were few to no wild animals and some parts were burning for a squadron of robots had passed with flamethrowers. Close to these outskirts was a traveller. She wandered through the destroyed land and stood still from time to time to observe her once beautiful home. Everything was gone. No laughter, no sunshine, no more flowers blooming in the grass. All was ash and smoke.

The lady, dressed in a worn out blue hoodie and jeans with burned spots in them, sat down on a stump of what once was a tree. She was somewhere in her mid-thirties and looked as if she had just come out of a fight. Tired and smudged. Her dark, purple hair was stained with mud, just like her clothes and her beige muzzle. Her once grey shoes were now brown and black with spots of grey in them. With her, she carried a backpack which contained food and water for four whole days, a pair of clean clothes and a small first-aid kit. She also carried a camping knife which had a saw-like part close to the handle. If one would look closely they would notice that her thigh was wrapped in bandages because of a burning wound she got in a fight with a robot.

She carried an old firefighters axe, tied to her waist with a piece of string and a hook which secured it to her body, which she used to protect herself in emergencies. Her collection of piercings had grown and now consisted of the bud she had gotten 21 years ago, two rings in a lower part of her ear and an industrial piercing, all representing an important person in her life. One ring for her father, one ring for her mother and one bud for her brother. They all died six years ago, when a patrolling troop of robots spotted them. The last one, the industrial one represented her best friend whom she hadn't seen in what seemed ages.

In the distance, one of the few remaining parts of forest lit up in a fiery sea of light. The robots were once again burning down everything in their way, and it looked like they were heading towards the place the woman was rested. At first she didn't notice the robots but when they got close, too close actually, she jumped up and started running in the opposite direction of Station Square. This certainly wasn't her best idea, seeing as the ruins of Station Square and the remaining buildings could provide some protection or a place to hide. She kept running but the robots were gaining on her.

When she realised it was no use to keep running, she turned around, grabbed her axe and focussed on her attacking, channelling her energy and enhancing her reflexes. When her attackers were close enough, the canine sprinted the last few meters and swung her axe, hitting one of the five robots and split it in the chest, cutting through many wires and thus disabling the machine. The robots looked like Mobians, but twice as large and equipped with strong flamethrowers located in their chest area, one in their shoulder and a knife-like asset replacing their left hand.

The woman quickly turned around and saw one of the robots firing a blast of fire towards her. She had enough distance to run in a different direction and avoid the blast. Then another robot made its move. The robot looked strangely familiar, as if it was someone she knew. This distracted the woman from the fight and gave the robot enough time to attack and throw her onto the ground. She cried out in pain and grabbed her shoulder. Fear glanced in her eyes as the robot walked closer with a drawn knife-hand. She tried to roll to the side but bumped into a fallen tree trunk, cornering herself. Holding up her axe in defence she cried out for help, hoping anyone was close enough to hear her and help her in this fight, it was her last hope at that moment.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ForevaYoung Thu Sep 08, 2016 9:49 pm

Oh boy had life fallen into a sorry state of affairs.

The world had literally gone to crap. No Mobian or human alive had anything left other than their lives, if you could even call it that anymore. Everywhere you looked there was destruction and devastation all around. Not even the sun dared to grace the ones below with its calming, warm presence. It was as if it too had abandoned all on the planet. Hell, it didn’t even rain anymore either.

A dirty dark grey boot kicked a broken piece of debris as the scene all around its owner looked bleak and depressing. A wooden staff end crunched beside the boot as they both came to halt, showing the arrival of a scarlet Mobian wolf girl, looking to be in her late thirties to early forties. She looked like she had definitely seen better days, but then again wouldn’t anyone in this life deprived atmosphere?

One out-of-place obscurity of this female was the pitch black horns that curled around from the back of her alert pointed ears. They had grown over time, and now had began curving around towards each other to almost meet above her head, like angry snakes facing off in battle. Her left hand gripped onto the wooden crafted piece of temporary weaponry, the once gleaming silver bracelets donned on each wrist clinked against it dully.

On closer inspection, the female was not exactly wearing clothing that would be protective against the now harsher environment. She knew she needed to obtain some new clothing soon as the ones she was wearing at present were definitely past their prime, but didn’t have the faintest idea on where to go to get replacements. Sure there were snippets of shops around this once grand city that may still be standing, but the idea of the many robots patrolling the area to take her out at any time held her back from investigating.

Being alone in a time like this was not recommended at all. But there were no survivors that she knew of who weren't crazy or power hungry, so she would just have to do her best before her untimely end like so many others before her.
The canine thought back briefly to the day she lost her life partner. He had never been one for fighting like his brother, but with the stakes being as high as they were, he went out fighting to protect her and the small life that had been growing inside her. She miscarried only a few days later because of the emotional trauma being too much for her to bare alone.

She absentmindedly placed a hand on her stomach as she closed her eyes firmly to rid herself of the past. 'That was nearly eight years ago, get a hold of yourself.' She growled to her consciousness.

A scream not too far from where she was standing knocked her out of her stupor. She heard the usual blasting and general destructive sounds that those monsters plagued upon her every day, but never once heard another organic cry in the years she had been on the road. Her senses went into high alert as her dull blue eyes snapped to where she heard the distressed call. Immediately picking up the staff with both hands, she took off full sprint towards the sudden noise.

Her acute hearing never let her down when she reached what appeared to be a face off between a small group of robots who had somehow cornered a Mobian who she had trouble deciphering, but spotted a green tail that was lashing and puffed up in fear of the current situation. A singular destroyed bot was lying away from the commotion, showing the newcomer that the green Mobian had done their best to defend their own hide. She jumped into action and burst towards the nearest robot, thrusting her sharpened staff end right through the head of it as she used her powerful legs to propel her upwards toward the 'brain' of her enemy. Hoping this would distract the metal creations to let the other Mobian get free, she proceeded to jump onto the robot that was a bit closer in range, while narrowly dodging a blast of fire that erupted from its central core area. She landed on its back, sending it into a frenzy as she drove her hands into what could only be best described as the neck area and ripping away the head as best as she could. Sparks flew in every direction and the female quickly became aware that she didn’t possess the natural strength to remove the head by herself, so opted to instead drive her staff end into the central core right as the robot tried to charge up another flame blast.
The result had the robot stop in its tracks as it began attempting to remove the obstruction, but to no avail as it began swelling up dramatically, more sparks and smoke erupting from it all over, before it literally blew up on the spot, the sheer shock wave sending the other remaining robots flying and knocking the two Mobians over.

The red wolf girl cautiously stood up, keeping low to the ground and crept over to the green Mobian that she now saw was a wolf like her. Her purple hair was in a tangled mess, probably like her own red locks, and her eyes were filled with relief. A red hand with a dirty white palm was held out to the green canine.

"...Come on, we gotta get out of here before they come back."

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Mobius has turned into a full wasteland. There were no signs of things ever getting brighter, the fox had to agree with that fact. Still, he would not give up trying to look at the bright side. Civilization was still there. There was still hope, but there was nothing he could really do about it. Most of his friends already died years ago. Only a few were saved, but he doesn’t know if they were still alive. It has been some time since he met some of them. He knew the deceased people were at least in a better place than here.

The cyan fox was in his mid thirties now. You could clearly see he had lots more of experience with surviving now. His shoulders were broad, from all the fighting and training he had done. He wore an open black leather trench coat. It appeared to be used for some time already. There were a few holes and ripped parts at the lower half of the coat. He also wore a green T-shirt with a description in white letters: “Keep it fun”. His dark blue pants looked the same as ever. It was perfect and timeless. A lot of pockets so that he could stuff things into it. Speaking about stuffing, the fox also had a medium sized backpack on his back. There were some pockets on the sides for stuff as water bottles and a sleeping bag. For comfortable walking, he wore grey mountain shoes. A little smile escaped his muzzle, where a goatee also hanged on his chin. His smile still seemed honest, but the innocence had clearly dripped off of it. His bright fur had been toned down a bit.

Then, a scream was heard in the distance. Another mobian here. The voice seemed kind of familiar, but there was no time to think about that. He ran towards the sound. While running, the fox created two chaos gauntlets around his arms. They were now decorated with spikes on his knuckles for extra damage. He appeared on the scene where the other two mobians were. He had seen some robots launch off. That must’ve took a lot of power. He was even more interested now.

“Is everyone here alright?” He took a closer look at the two. The red wolf with horns seemed to have sent away those robots. The green wolf however looked very familiar. Is that…. He looked at the red wolf. “You’re right. They won’t just run away without trying to destroy their targets first. Let’s go. I think I know a hiding spot closeby.” He pointed towards the edge of Station Square. He remembered a shelter set up there that disrupted the robot’s radars. They’d be safe there until the robots gave up looking.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Steveosaurus Rex Fri Sep 09, 2016 6:14 pm

A German Shepherd stood atop one of the dust-encrusted boulders that dotted the otherwise bare lands. His aged, brown eye observed the wastelands beyond. The left eye, hazy and dead, followed along as if it were still alive. That side of his face was forever marked with a serious burn scar. He carried it proudly though, as if it were a trophy from a fierce battle long ago. The violent, toxic winds blew through his ragged fur and his graying hair. He'd seen many years on Mobius, as had his strong wife, who was standing below, always on guard duty to protect her mate.

The dog's right leg was stiff and heavy, though he could still get around fairly well. He propped himself against his weathered sniper rifle, which was wrapped in tattered cloth to protect it from the harsh sting of nature. His outfit consisted of some bits of damaged and dented body armor, bandoleers, and a tattered poncho that trailed down to his waist. He peered through the scope of his rifle, adjusting the zoom and scanning the distance once more before lowering the weapon and working his way down the boulder.

"The perimeter is clear so far. It's only a matter of time." He walked with a bit of a limp, using his rifle as a makeshift walking stick as he faced his wife. "Those scouts have me very paranoid, Shiloh. They've been getting closer to Sanctuary each week..." His gruff voice was low and seasoned, but still strong and booming. He spoke with purpose, something his career in GUN taught him all those years ago.

Bailen was a Major in GUN then, a true war hero at the time. The glory grew stale instantly and he hated it. His friends died all the time. He was glad it happened at this point though. His past hardened him into the leader he was now. Without that experience and knowledge he would have died long ago. He still kept fighting, however, and continued to rally other freedom fighters throughout the years.

With the help and support of his wife, he managed to organize and construct a safe haven for all organic life that sought out safety and security. It used to be a stone quarry and salt mine, but it was easily converted into a complex fortress that had a network of tunnels spanning across a significant portion of Mobius. They named it Sanctuary, and word quickly got around the wasteland. The tunnel systems served as a great way to organize strikes and ambushes on the robot plague.

"We'd better head back. It'll be getting dark soon." He beckoned for Shiloh to follow as they began their trek back across the dead sands. He expected to hear from his other scouting teams upon their return. One of the teams disappeared a month ago. This made Bailen very anxious. He hoped they were dead and not captured. The robots had very nasty torture techniques that could break even the most stalwart soldiers. The bots still didn't know of the safe haven's location. Sanctuary was the best kept secret in the wasteland, and he intended to keep it that way for as long as possible.

The dog took a long drink from his water bottle before passing it to Shiloh. It was a long walk, but they made it often. His stomach grumbled aloud, but he was used to ignoring it now. There was a food shortage at Sanctuary and they'd have to do something about it soon. It was difficult to cultivate crops in the dry soil. They'd have to go out on a scavenging party soon.

The walk was long and tiring, but the two of them finally made it back to the nearest entrance to Sanctuary. At first glance, it was just an empty cave, but upon traveling further through it, they came upon a reinforced gate. Bailen pounded on the gate with his fist four times, and a small hatch opened. "Welcome back, sir." The guard on the other side saluted him and the gate swung open. They entered, and the gate swiftly closed behind them. It was very busy within the gates. Every citizen played their part and had a job to do. Working as a team was the only way they could survive.

Bailen and Shiloh worked their way through the tunnels of sanctuary until they finally arrived at the tram that would take them to the core of the city. The German Shepherd took a seat inside the tram, letting out a sigh of relief as he placed a hand around Shiloh's shoulder. He leaned his rifle against the side of the tram and ran his fingers through his dirty hair. "It's good to be back..." He said in a firm tone, trying to hide his tiredness. It was truly good to be back. He counted his blessings each time he made it back alive, which couldn't be said for a lot of folks. He leaned his head against Shiloh's and rested his eyes for a moment as they descended into the fortress below.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Sikopio Fri Sep 09, 2016 8:05 pm

The maned wolf's tattered dark brown cloak blew in the wind as she stood on the flat ground, full of sand and rubble. Lifting her right hand slowly, she wiped a thumb across her visor slowly removing the collected dust. Placing both fingers on either side of her muzzle, the visor hissed softly as it popped off her face, revealing a very tired and beaten looking canine. A large, deep scar trailed down her right eye, now covered with an eye-patch of which was also as tattered as the rest of her clothing. Underneath the patch, her dead eye rested. Not even the nerves to move the eye worked anymore, so she never took it off. She raised her head, pulling down her hood to reveal graying crimson hair as she looked up at her husband. It was almost as though the maned wolf had a constant instinct to protect, especially Bailen, even at the older age she was now.

Holding out her right arm for her husband to hold, she walked slowly with him. They were both getting on in years and the environment was not helping them, though they had endured worse in their years of service. Clinking slightly with every second step, the canine was clad in some bust up mainly brown camouflage armor, seeming to be somewhat handmade. Her belt was what seemed to contain her utilities, some of which being: a combat knife sheath, two small pistols and holsters at either side, a hook where a grapple and rope were hanging and many, many leather pouches. On her trousers were more camouflage padding on either thigh though to the left and right of both legs were large pockets. Her armor had spikes on it, again all seeming to be customized from what the armor had been. Sighing gently, she walked slightly faster with her other half.

"Mmhm." Shiloh nodded as Bailen talked to her about the scouts. Most would have said more though Shiloh was a person of few words, unless she was needed to not be. Only Bailen could tell her to do such a thing, however.

As they began to near Sanctuary she began to think of her past, her reckless nature and years of killing for money hadn't done her any good, though at least, she thought, she had made amends now. No more of that, it was one of a few things that kept her up at night. It was as she thought of these things where she would look at her now husband, look up at his dead eye and burned face with sorrow. It was almost habit to rub her covered eye and scar as she looked at him. How awful that time was, she thought. Now, now...there were things people just had to get past and that was one of them. She shook her head to relieve herself and kept walking.

Shiloh's stomach grumbled along with Bailen's though due to her protective nature toward him she usually shared her food with him, or just gave him what she didn't desperately need. She had done all this before, she was used to it. Almost as if she was treating him like her child. As Bailen gave her his water bottle, she took a mouthful and gave him back the bottle immediately.

As they arrived, the maned wolf stood behind her husband, her back turned against his so she was watching the entrance just to see if anyone else was watching it too. All clear. She slid in the gate behind Bailen swiftly and looked around at everyone else. Being second in command wasn't exactly as hard as being first in line, but it was still very challenging for someone who was not used to being a team player, though she did her best for him.

As the tram arrived, she sat beside Bailen and slouched back. She was incredibly tired. Her worries momentarily drifted away from her mind as her partner rested his head against hers. "Yeah, it is. Maybe we should get half an hour of shuteye, old timer." she smiled with a slightly wrinkled mouth at the German Shepherd, her voice was gruff and harsh, though somewhat soft when she was speaking to him. It was the type of voice that stung when barking orders, that boomed as she shouted, though that's what G.U.N. had taught her. It was almost instinct now. Sighing gently, the canine shut her eyes and laid her dirt-smeared cheek against her husbands shoulder.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Dione Fri Sep 09, 2016 8:22 pm

"Somebody! HELP ME!"  A fearful scream emitted from the woman’s mouth before she noticed the Mobian sprinting towards her. She raised her axe in an attempt to hit the robot that was now very close to her but missed. The machine raised its own knife-hand and got ready to stab the green canine with it, until a red wolf jumped on its back and pierced it with her spear-like weaponry. The green woman quickly crawled back a bit alongside the tree trunk and held her shoulder while watching the stranger and how they fought with the metal monsters. It seemed as if they had everything under control.

Then came the explosion. A powerful shockwave soared through the air, flames exploded as if someone had just set a can of gasoline on fire. The flames were powerful but burned out shortly after the explosion. The woman got knocked back against the trunk and her breath got beaten out of her lungs by the force of the impact. She gasped for air and looked around to see where the red wolf had gone. She noticed a silhouette in the smoke, on the other side of where the exploded robot had been before it actually blew up. Cautiously, the woman shifted from leaning against the tree to sitting on her knees and started looking for her backpack while keeping an eye on the figure in the smoke. She reached for her firefighters’ axe and hooked it back on to the string that was attached to her waist and noticed movement in the smoke.

When the figure came closer, the woman realised it was the same red wolf who had helped her in her desperate situation. Observingly she watched as the red canine came closer and reached out their hand, inviting her to take it and help her stand up. From this distance, the green wolf noticed that the stranger was a wolf and a woman just like her. The only one big difference was the horns of the red wolf. With a sigh of relief and gratefulness, the woman took the hand of her saviour and stood up. "Thank you so much, if it weren’t for you, I’d be dead now…" Then she noticed a second stranger entering the scene. "Did you two-" she tried to ask, but the new person cut her off in her words by asking if the both of them were okay. "I’m fine, thanks to her." She gestured at the red wolf. "My shoulder got bruised but that’s all I got this time."

The woman checked her thigh and noticed a red spot growing in the bandages and realised her wound had started bleeding again. She looked back up to the two others, observing both their looks. The wolf didn’t seem familiar at all but that man… He seemed to share a lot of similarities with someone she had met twenty years ago. Could it be? No. It can’t be. He’d probably be dead by now. "Yeah, we should leave this place. It’s too dangerous and it looks like I need to take care of this burn again." The canine reached down and grabbed her backpack, swung it on her back and got ready to leave. "Where do we go?"

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ForevaYoung Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:18 pm

The darkened scarlet canine helped the lighter female back on to her feet then released her grip and folded her arms, closing herself off from the others. Simply nodding at the response of the green wolf girl, she drifted her dull blue eyes over to the other figure who had appeared at the last moment and was now fast-walking alongside the two.

He was a bluish colour, making her believe at some point his fur would have stood out like a sore thumb in a crowd. He sported a long trench coat that protected him from the harsh weather, unlike herself who was still sadly wearing an aged pair of teal shorts and lilac vest top under a black zipped hoodie, each piece of clothing in worse shape than the aforementioned. She once wore black above the knee stockings, but had discarded them long ago when they were ripped beyond wearing standards and had gone bare legged for a while now, as seen by the many nicks and dirt covering them.

The figure looked to be a canine of some sort, and when she trailed a more in depth eye over him, she spotted a second tail that seemed to have escaped from underneath the somewhat heavy jacket. She narrowed her eyes and slightly lowered her ears. 'Why has this man appeared to us now? Why not during the fight? Is he... one of them?'

Thinking back to a moment a few weeks ago when she had managed to infiltrate a small camp, she witnessed a horrid scene before her. The Mobians who were held there were being implanted with some sort of chips that made them act like slaves. Their eyes dulled down to black pools and they just followed the many robots orders without any form of disagreement. With their movements sluggish and lifeless, she knew it wouldn't be long before all of the camps in the nearby vicinity would be subjected to the same torture.

Grasping her thoughts and coming back to reality, she noted that the man in question was not acting what she could have described as what was seen in the camp. His eyes were full of colour, and he walked with a slight bounce in his step.

The two toned female turned her attention to the green wolf girl she just risked her own hide for. By the looks of things, she was fine, but a simple look at the slowly seeping red patch on her thigh urged her to speed up their movements and find some form of shelter to get that dressing replaced to prevent any infection. Other than that and the comment about her bruised shoulder, she was able to hold her own weight for the meantime.

As she glanced between the two, she noted an air of familiarity that was shared when they made eye contact briefly, and debated on whether she would be best leaving them to continue as a pair, while she went off solo once again to find a new weapon. It wasn't until that very moment that she realised she had no form of defense, seeing as she left her makeshift staff in the robot who now lay in pieces all over the barren ground they walked on.

"It looks like you're acquaintances from a time ago. Good to know you will be safe with each other." The horned Mobian spoke gruffly. Her voice was still softly spoken, but came out as a growl more often than she would like it to which made her sound a lot more intimidating than she wanted most of the time. She gave a quick look around the dead area, remembering this was once a forest teeming with life and nature. The sun would beat down and make the water sparkle, like something from a dream.

She licked her lips at the thought of obtaining some water and made a note to try and find some way of sneaking into a nearby slave camp for a drink of water. She hadn't eaten in a few days, and was dehydrated as well which was starting to make her feel groggy. "I'll help you get to your safe place and patch up yourself," She nodded to the green female.  "Then I will be off. You're better off sticking together. Its crazy at night here, the robots will be out in force as soon as the news of what happened here gets back to them."

The maroon wolf girl ran a hand through her dull red bangs with a quiet sigh. She felt pretty useless right now. She had no weapon, and having not been able to use her powers in the past eight years had taken a heavy toll on her. She subconsciously ran a hand over the end of the broken horn on the left of her head as her thoughts drifted off back to when times were easier, when she wasn't alone.

A loud boom sounded in the distance. 'Great, that'll be another group of robots causing more damage to the planet. Cant they see the place is already devastated enough?'

Not noticing she was growling out loud she turned her attention to the other two beside her to be met with an anxious look and a sympathetic one each. She mumbled an apology at her outburst and turned her full focus back to the road ahead.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

The fox looked at the wolves while they walked away with him. Apperantly the red one didn't really trust him. "Well uh....would a 'one of them' say snickerdoodledoodlydoo?" He grinned. The green wolf seemed to be wounded on her thigh. It looked bad. "That wound can't wait you know. It may feel like it's gonna be okay, but in this wasteland, it can make you go sick really quick. If you can see blood on your bandage, you should change it as quickly as possible. Lemme patch that up for you." The fox smiled friendly as he sat on his knees infront of the green wolf. Hopefully the two would stop walking.

He threw off his backpack from his back and opened a side pouch. He reached into it and there was a large role of bandaging. First, he unwrapped the bandage she was wearing at that moment. The fox got to take a look at the wound. It didn't look pretty, so he quickly rolled the new bandage around her thigh again and tied it. "There ya go. It should hold long enough." He looked up towards Dione. "Kinda rude to not even say 'Hi' to someone you haven't seen for like 20 years, don't ya think?" He grinned. Still got the same stupid humour as back then. "How have you been Dione?"

He stood back up. The red wolf was talking again. She kinda seemed to be a very quiet person, who didn't really like to talk much. She did seem kind of willing to leave really quick. Why? There was no reason for that? "Wow hey why should you leave so soon? I mean, if we're saved, that doesn't mean you have to risk your life back out here? Don't you think it's better if we'd all stick together? Also you don't really seem to have any weapon with you anymore. Let us at least look for a new weapon for you."

The loud boom in the distance made Bou kind of afraid. His eyes started to glow. Adrenaline was flowing again. It happened way less than years ago, but he was a unstopable force of jumpyness back then. "We should speed up." He looked at the red wolf. "Can you run? I'll take Dione." He grabbed Dione by her legs and her back, disregarding her ideas of it. They had to get to that shelter fast, before the robots would spot them again. If they were close, the robots radars wouldn't notice a thing anymore, but they needed to be close first. Otherwise they might find out the hideout. Boubka ran at his full speed. His footsteps caused a small trace of dust. They sounded heavy, but dull. His coat waved in the wind. The cave was getting close.

"We have to get in there before the robots spot us again. Just run all the way through there, there should be a gate at the end." The fox tried to keep his voice down, he never knew where the robots would be.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Steveosaurus Rex Sun Sep 11, 2016 5:52 am

Bailen and Shiloh had spent the rest of that afternoon resting. They had a small dinner using the rations they'd been saving. The dog insisted his wife eat more, practically forcing her to eat it. They often argued over such matters. They had taken turns eating and fasting throughout the years after their son had passed away.

After their meal, the couple headed back up the tram for guard duty. They relieved their comrades at the gate and took point, peering out into the wasteland through the slit window in the gate. "You alright?" He asked his wife as he sat down, cradling his rifle against his shoulder as he awaited an answer. The cave was dimly lit, with only a few torches that cast just enough light to see. Still, it was bright enough to see the concern on his face. "I know you hate it when I go on scouting missions, but I've got to do my part." He could see it in her motions and expressions. She used to encourage him to go on missions, but he had grown older and slower. Everywhere he went, she'd be in his shadow, guarding him at every turn. He welcomed it, of course, but he couldn't help but feel the same way as she did.

Bailen's focus shifted to the gate again and his ears flicked curiously as a low, distant boom reverberated through the cave. "No..." He clambered to his feet and aimed his rifle through the slit, observing the distant hills through his long range scope for any signs of movement. Sure enough, there were three people running straight towards the cave. In the hazy dust, several pairs of glowing crimson eyes could be seen. The robots were quickly gaining on them. "Dammit...they'll lead them straight to us."

The German Shepherd beckoned for more guards to take his place before unhatching the gate and heading out of the cave with Shiloh close behind. "We'll need to kill them before they spot the entrance." He told Shiloh, gesturing to the approaching robots in the approaching dust storm.

Wait, a dust storm?! "...Damn." Why hadn't he noticed that before? He quickly took aim and fired his rifle. A loud boom erupted across the landscape. The army-piercing bullet hissed over the victims' heads and blew straight through the lead robot's eye, striking its processing core and dropping it instantly. Two pairs of eyes remained and he prepared to fire a second shot, but the dust storm quickly enveloped the area, immediately diminishing his sight. "Stay alery, Shi!" He spoke loud over the high winds. Things were about to get messy. On the bright side, the bots wouldn't be able to spot Sanctuary's entrance in this weather.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Sikopio Mon Sep 12, 2016 12:25 am

Walking slowly behind her husband toward the gates of Sanctuary, Shiloh turned her head toward her partner as he spoke. He was asking the same question he asked her a thousand times a day without fail. The maned wolf rolled her eye and let a small grin escape. She found the repetitiveness of his concern to be quite amusing. "You know the answer I always give you." She gently ran a hand down the top of Bailen's head before sitting down at the other side of him so she could see where he couldn't. The wolf's good ear swiveled toward the German Shepherd as he spoke to her, keeping her eyes on the wasteland. "I don't hate it, I just hate that you have your wobble and are determined to walk as far as you do. I should go alone. The arm is helpful for me, your leg is just heavy. I want you to be safe." She spoke quietly to him so as to not echo through the cave.

As Bailen picked up the sound of the cave's low rumble, Shiloh's eye became fixed on the landscape and her ears faced forward in a very alert way. Being somewhat of a bodyguard, this was her usual behavior. Pushing past Bailen slightly in the cave, she stood just at the entrance, getting a good eye of their visitors before the dust storm rolled over. Looking to her left at Bailen, the wolf lowered his sniper rifle. "Don't shoot that. I'll be back in a second, trust me." There was no panic to the woman's voice as she popped on a visor she had around her neck. A light click was heard as she walked in to the dust storm to the last known location of the three Mobians.

The pale orange dust and dirt swirled and blinded the wolf, causing her to constantly wipe her visor just so that she could maybe catch a glimpse of the visitors before the droids caught up. Out the corner of her eye, what looked to be a red haired Mobian was pushing through the storm. With a quick lunge, Shiloh grabbed the girl's shoulder, trying to restrain where she thought the girls arms would be. "Listen to me now," she said with some urgency in her voice "You all need to keep walking straight from here. You'll come to a hole in the wall, there's a man there that will help you. Now hurry."

Hoping that the three would take her advice, she let go of the red haired girl, just as she was met with a pair of red glowing eyes. Despite her age the maned wolf was a seasoned fighter due to her past, and so she ran to where the beams were, jumping on top of one of the robots and shoving a metal arm through the center of the eyes as the glow slowly faded from them. Lifting her fist from the now destroyed android, the metal hissed softly as it released pressure. A loud hiss flew past the woman's shoulder with a narrow miss, though still an impressive shot for being in the storm. Shiloh moved her way steadily to where she had thought the origin of the shot was, though ran straight in to the robot's back with a clunk as she arrived at her destination.

The wolf gasped slightly under her visor, grabbing around the robot and forcing it down with her weight before pulling out one of her pistols and giving a few shots in the back of what they could call its head. From Bailen's location the boom from her pistols were still very audible. Making sure the robot was indeed not moving, she put her pistol on safety and began to walk back to where she thought the cave entrance may be. It was hard and a little longer than she thought, though it was to be expected in a dust storm like this.

Making her way back, she stepped inside the cave entrance, putting a finger on either side of her visor as it released. "They're down...there was only two of them, right?" She panted slightly, it was still hard work slugging around the arm and dealing with that harsh wind at the same time, though she was more concerned with whether Bailen and the three Mobians she saw were alright.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Dione Mon Sep 12, 2016 2:22 pm

Observingly the green wolf watched and listened to the red wolf as she spoke. She abruptly stopped walking as the fox dropped his backpack and got out a roll of bandage. "I uh.." Confused as she was, Dione looked down and watched how the fox rolled off her bandage to reveal the wound beneath. Blood was slowly seeping out of the burned flesh and stained a bit of the fabric of her jeans. "I really think- Nnggh." A quiet growl exited the woman's mouth as the fox pulled off the end of the old bandage. It was a bit stuck to the fur and skin around the spot and it hurt quite a lot since the nerves were so sensitive around that area.

She watched the man's every move as he carefully wrapped a clean, white bandage around her leg. When he got back up she bent her leg a few times to make sure the bandage would stick in its place and then looked back up to the fox. "Thanks." She gave him a small smile and started walking again, until he mentioned her name. Her ears perked up and by his comment and she smirked. "So it is you! Long time no see Boubka! I've been okay concidering the circumstances. How about yourself?" She opened her backpack and took out a bottle of water, took a sip and then handed it to the other two people so that they could also take a drink. When both of them were done, she put the bottle back into the backpack and closed the zipper.

Then the red wolf spoke. "Well, it sure has been some time since we've seen each other." She said in reply to her. "But why would you leave us? It'd be much safer to travel all together. And just like Boubka said, you don't have a weapon." The mechanical clanging in the distance seemed to get closer and closer as they stood there, talking. The woman looked around and her tail swished nervously through the air. The fox also seemed to have noticed the noise. When he spoke about moving on, Dione nodded in agreement and continued walking until Boubka grabbed her and lifted her up from the ground. She let out a yelp in surprise and froze for a moment. "What, why?" With a semi scared look in her eyes she looked at the fox and when he started running, she wrapped one arm around his neck to prevent herself from falling.

The wind blew her hair into her face and made Dione close her eyes a bit, blurring everything she saw. After about half a minute of running, she figured she'd probably be very heavy to run with. She also noticed the beginning sandstorm. "Should I run myself?" she asked the man after she noticed he started panting. Just as she had asked her question, she heard a loud banging, as if someone had shot a gun. Startled she looked of the fox's shoulder and saw a robot collapsing. Two remained standing. "Looks like we've got company again!"

Suddenly another woman appeared, not too far away from Boubka and Dione and grabbed the red wolf by her arm. The new Mobian was telling her something. Observingly she watched as the woman took off into the dust cloud and appeared to be fighting the robots. Dione's grip on the fox's neck strengthened and she put one hand on her still bleeding leg. It had slowed down again and didn't hurt as much as before, which was a good sign. A few final shots filled the air and after that it all went silent, apart from the steps of Boubka and the red wolf, the blowing of the wind, and the fox's and her own breathing.

Shortly after that they reached the entrance of the cave where more people were waiting. One of them looked pretty intimidating with his scarred face and rifle. Dione let go of Boubka and when she stood on her own feet again, she first looked at the fox and gratefully nodded at him. "Are you guys okay?" she asked before turning to the German Shepherd and giving him an observing look. "Thank you for helping us." Dione said when the woman returned too.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ForevaYoung Tue Sep 13, 2016 3:46 pm

Dull sapphire eyes darted swiftly around in their sockets, constantly taking in every detail in case of a potential ambush. She knew changing that dressing was something of importance, but it could have waited until they found more safety than right here out in the open. She wasn't very good with dealing with other, conscious people though as any time she came across survivors they were normally knocked out or passed out from injury. She would normally just do her self titled duty and carry them to what she would class as a safe place before continuing on alone.

She heard the two ask why she was going to go off again and knew that it was going to be a difficult thing to get them to understand. A sliver of her old, shyer self shone through right at that moment, considering she hadn't actually spoken to anyone else in quite some time. The next thing she knew, her tail was in her hands and she was nervously playing with it, which would throw anyone off from the seemingly strong stance she played off just a few minutes ago. "I...don't really do well around others...people get hurt, mostly die when I'm around them." She thought back to the man she lost before once again as a sad look turned her gaze distant. "It's best that I stay a... lone wolf. Pardon the pun."

Before she could get the chance to explain about her weapon problem, her maroon ears perked as a loud clanking noise began, to be followed with the robots from before joining up once more to finish what they had started in the first place. A large, heavy dust cloud was following them like a storm. It wasn't long before it completely took over them, quickly taking over their immediate vision. With stinging eyes, the red female lowered her ears slightly and covered her face with her hands a little to try and help see better, all the while glancing around on high alert for the other two who had vanished into the heavy storm. The last thing she heard was the green canine asking if she could run on her own feet, making the red one smirk slightly before she lost sight of them.

The metal sound of a gun echoed all around and the female whipped round to spot a pair of red eyes not too far from them faze out from the limited vision all around. Someone was helping them. That meant there were only two left that they all knew of in pursuit. She made a mental note to thank whomever it was that was wasting their precious ammo to save a group of Mobians they had never met before. There would be no way to repay them for coming when they did.

Something suddenly held onto her shoulder as an unfamiliar female now stood in front of her, as if she had materialized from the dust itself. She looked to be older than her, but not by much.

'Keep walking straight.' That's all she had properly heard and she hoped to Chaos that that was all that she really needed to hear in order to get to some form of cover and out of this provoking storm. It was getting into every little cut and nick, not to mention all over her fur and hair. She prayed that the other two she had lost were able to somehow find her, or at least need up going the same way as her. She remembered the two conversing and their names came up when addressing each other. She knew it was risky, but there was really no other way.

"Boubka!? Dione!? If that's your names and you can hear me, we need to head straight on!" She shouted out to hopefully where they were. "This storm has completely knocked our sights so as long as you keep going towards where my voice is coming from, you should be going in the right direction!"

Did the robots hear that? Most definitely. Were they going to get away from them? She damn well hoped so with the other Mobian who had vanished as fast as she appeared. That female seemed to know what she was doing out here, so nodded to herself as she pushed on. Another bullet shot sounded through the air as the red female instinctively ducked in fear of accidentally being shot.

The dust began to slowly clear up, and before long the red wolf girl managed to see clearly ahead once again. She spotted Dione and Boubka ahead with the darker red haired female from before and a male dog using a rifle to balance on. He had a rather nasty battle scar covering his eye that made her make a second not to never bring up the subject as she couldn't begin to imagine what happened. She felt a little ridiculous for calling out when they were actually ahead of her, but it was the only way she felt they could communicate without sight.

She shook herself to get rid of the worst of the dust now covering them all. "Is everyone alright?"

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ChaoticBou Tue Sep 13, 2016 7:04 pm

The fox smiled towards the red wolf while running. So she was afraid that she’d hurt them! Boubka understood her, but he wouldn’t give up. Nobody should live a lonely life. Especially in these times it’s good to have people around you. “Oh you don’t have to worry about me! I’ve been around a lot of dangerous people. Not the one who dies easy y’know.” The fox grinned sadistically.  Boubka ignored the wolf asking if she could walk herself. She was wounded and it’d only take more time making her walk on her own.

That was because something was nagging at him. He was constantly sensing something. He looked at Tala. “Hey. Could I ask you some-“ The dust was coming up and the robots came dangerously close. He had to fight the robots. They shouldn’t find out about the Sanctuary. It was one of the biggest shelters on Mobius. “Okay so I’m gonna let you have to walk by yourse-“ Suddenly the robots got shot down by mysterious bullets. Great. WAS ANYONE GONNA LET HIM FINISH HIS SENTENCES? It didn’t matter. They were close. He could hear the red wolf’s voice behind him. “No! I’m closer! Follow my voice!”

They finally arrived at the cave. Bou was afraid. What if the robot saw what they were heading for? There was a German Sheperd. “Thank you very much.” He said towards the two shooters. He even made a small bow. The two wolves both asked if he was alright. “Don’t even have a scratch. What about you two?” He looked out of the cave again, into the wastelands, at the destroyed robots. “Do you think they’ve spotted the cave?” He placed the green wolf carefully back onto the ground.  The fox wasn’t sure if they were save or not. Let’s just show the others that he was confident so that they wouldn’t freak out.

He looked at the brown, armoured wolf. First he noticed her eyepatched eye together with a pretty big scar. Let’s not ask about that. That’d be kinda rude. “I think there were only two of them left. I’m not sure though. I can’t seem to sense them, so they must be too far away to get a sight of the cave at least. Another thing, did you just defeat a robot by giving it only one punch?! That’s amazing! I’ve never seen someone else do that before!” His eyes started to glow a bit out of excitement. “Also thanks again for saving our asses there. I maybe couldn’t have defeated them myself.”

The fox looked into the cave. It seemed like it would go on forever, but the Sanctuary was there, completely at the end. He had been here a few times. This is probably THE place to start the mobian revolution. But like that would really happen. Maybe it was better if they just created something to survive in these places. Boubka didn’t really give anything for a giant fight between mobians and robots.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Steveosaurus Rex Wed Sep 14, 2016 3:56 pm

As the dust storm thickened, Bailen's vision grew worse and worse. He could make out a few closer figures, but Shiloh's position was unknown to him. He had a lot of confidence in her though. These wouldn't be the first robots she killed, and they sure as Hell wouldn't be the last. The first to arrive was a bright blue fox with two tails, who was carrying a green wolf. Her leg was wounded and was wrapped with bandages. Bailen gave the two a simple nod. "We didn't have much of a choice. You would have led them right to us..." He wasn't purposefully rude, he'd just adapted to a more bitter nature over the unkind years. Not to mention he was wary of outsiders.

Another wolf arrived next, her fur a brighter red and horns atop her head. How curious... Shiloh arrived last as he expected. She'd dealt with the robots swiftly and professionally, per usual. The red one looked around, asking if everyone was alright. "Everyone is fine. Let's quit screwin' around and head down." His gruff voice sounded irritated. The sight of robots always did put him in a rotten mood. He beckoned form them to follow as he made his way deeper into the cave and the gates within opened. A few ragged Mobians protected the gates within. The way they stood at attention showed that they had great respect for Bailen and Shiloh.

They all boarded a large tram that started moving through a deeper mouth of the cave. Bailen and Shiloh sat across from the newcomers. "So..." His eye scanned the three new faces in front of him. "You three want to tell us why you were prancing about out there?" He removed a rag from his back pocket and started wiping the dust away from his rifle as he awaited an answer. "There's a robot scouting outpost nearby, so I suspect they'll be sending more units to investigate..." He further examined the three as well, noting they were in pretty rough shape. They were skinny, but a lot of people were at this point. It was hard to come by proper food and water. The green wolf's leg didn't seem to be life threatening, but Bailen would have one of the doctors take a look at it and hopefully patch it up properly.

As the cave walls widened, a giant underground valley emerged and the city of Sanctuary could be seen below. The city was in a circular shape, with the hospital right in the center. It was surrounded by dirty water from an underground spring, though it had to go through several treatment plants before it became drinkable. The tram was still quite high up, so they had some time to talk before arrival.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Sikopio Fri Sep 16, 2016 4:55 pm

Standing beside Bailen, Shiloh listened carefully to all three Mobians. Nobody ever really paid the maned wolf much attention, which she was happy about usually, though the blue fox spoke up. She was slightly grateful for the compliment, though there was a reason she could punch through the glass and metal. "Well, if you had a metal arm I'm sure you could do it too." she nodded at the fox slightly. Her eye drifted to Bailen as he was telling everyone to stop screwing around. He was such a bitter man, though never toward her which made her smile slightly, as it was quite funny.

As Shiloh nodded to the guards to close the gates, they boarded the tram for the second time that day, with the 'newcomers' sitting down on it for the first time in what Shiloh was hoping would be the first time of many. They always needed more hands here, it was indeed the safest place though it could be much safer. Staying quiet as the german shepherd spoke to them in his usual gruff nature, Shiloh put a hand on his shoulder gently to try and get him to loosen up on the three in front of them. She didn't sense any danger coming from them, and was generally pretty good at seeing through someone's bullcrap. They didn't really seem to come out with any.

After a small while of talking, the canine looked at the green wolf's leg. "Looks sore. You'll be alright, we have good people here who will fix you up in no time. We'll get you some kind of thing to ease it up slightly. You'll be able to walk better yourself," she paused for a second, glancing to the blue fox. "If you're going to get around out here it's best if you don't always rely on your partner to carry you anywhere." If she could wink, she would. Instead she gave a small grin at the two.

As the tram ran to the main space of the cave, Shiloh put her hand on the top of Bailen's head and seemed to massage it slightly. He was stressed out a lot, so doing small things to de-stress him slightly was what she generally did. Her head clicked back to the three as she kept massaging. "This man to my left is Bailen." She didn't say his first name, only she ever called him by that. "He's the lead of this place right here. Sanctuary, the Resistance, all they other names. I'm Shiloh, unfortunately his wife and second in command. It's nice to meet all of you. I hope all of you see what we're doing here and would like to contribute to the cause." She released her hand from Bailen's head and stood up with her hands behind her back, pacing as the tram moved slowly. It was something that she did often while in thought. She continued to pace as the tram moved slowly to the exit, leaving Bailen to talk to the three before it was time to get off.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Dione Sun Sep 18, 2016 4:17 pm

When everyone was at the entrance of the shelter, the wolf who had just fought the robots spoke to her. "Oh wow, thanks so much for the help!" The green wolf smiled and gave the woman a grateful nod. After some conversing within the group, the German Shepherd kind of told everyone to follow him and who appeared to be his wife into the gates. Dione started walking after them and looked observingly around to take in every detail of the entrance. After a short minute of walking, the group stood in front of a train like machine, a tram of some sorts. They all walked in and sat down, Dione placed herself in between the red woman and the fox.

When the man asked everyone why they were walking outside Dione spoke first. "Well, I was traveling back to the remains of Station Square. I wanted to see if anything of my past survived the bombings two years ago. When I was getting close to the outskirts of the city, I got attacked. That's when..." She stopped talking for a moment. "Uhm, what's your name actually?" The question was directed towards the red wolfess sitting next to her. After waiting for an answer, Dione continued her short story. "That's when this lady helped me. She basically saved my life, just like you two saved all our three lives. You have no idea how grateful I am."

When the other two people were telling their stories, the woman listened curiously. Especially Boubka's story seemed to spark her interest a lot, for they had met before. Though, the red canine's story was also one she listened to with attention. Then, when the tram entered a larger part of the cave, Dione looked outside, still listening to the talking people but observing the over all structure of the cave and the maze-like streets and small farms. Amazed by the simple yet efficient looking community her gaze moved back into the tram and started to examine her wound. Her leg didn't really hurt anymore, it was more like a faint tingle in her leg and the surrounding area around the burn mark.

The maned wolfess's voice had Dione look back up. Her gaze glanced back and forth between the woman and her husband. When she finished talking, Dione started talking again. "I'll try to do anything I can do to help."

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ForevaYoung Sun Sep 18, 2016 4:47 pm

"My name? Oh yes, I didn't give it before due to the situation. Its Tala, my apologies."

The wolf girl on question leaned back against one of the windows, not watching the large community that came into view shortly afterward. While she was glad to be out of the outside and away from the impending danger, she felt slightly out of place. She glanced towards the older couple and felt a small smile force itself on her. Regardless of the state of current affairs, there was still some love left in the world. It stirred some emotion deep within her as she watched the way they interacted with a way of gentleness they wouldn't dare show to anyone else. It was like Shiloh brought out the younger man in Bailen as his features softened when he looked at her, and the way her ears would lower slightly indicated they definitely had something special.

Looking over Dione and Boubka, she remembered they were acquaintances from quite some time ago. She didn't really know much, but they were happy to see each other, so that was enough to merit a positive outcome. They spoke like it was only yesterday that they last saw each other, when in reality it was years most likely. The look on Diones face showed she was sure he had possibly died along the way, only to be pleasantly surprised when he showed who he was to her.

Tala turned away from the others and chose to glance out at where they were going to be for the time being. She wasn't sure on how to take the idea of being around others. The last time she did...

No. She promised she wouldn't think about it again. The past is the past. He is gone and there's nothing that can be done. She looked at the many pockets below of Mobians who were either conversing, working or just sitting and relaxing. By the looks of things in here, it was named rather aptly. She overheard the name 'Sanctuary' when she was outside, and only a place like this could live up to that name.

She silently placed a hand on the window where she watched the Mobians interacting as they dropped lower and lower into the area and smiled softly. She only half listened to the conversation between the others, but she felt she wasn't worthy enough to know, after all she wasn't going to be with them for much longer. Right?

"I hate to interrupt, but is there anywhere here that could involve me getting better acquainted with some new clothes?" She gestured to her current wardrobe and chuckled lowly. "Not the best outfit to be going out in that, am I right?"

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

The first impression that the fox got from the German Sheperd, wasn't very pleasing, but he could understand that from such a guy. He was leading one of the biggest operations in the world at the moment and probably has more pain to endure than Boubka himself. Shiloh on the other hand looked pretty cheerful for such a time. It gave the fox somewhat more hope. The two being together gave Boubka some emotional disruption. Not entirely in a bad way. It just made him think about what could've been right now. A slight sad smile appeared on the fox' face.

The environment they were in was huge. There were quite alot of people for an 'apocalypse', luckily they were all safe here. He had been here a few times before, visiting some friends of his. The ones that were left. He was asked why he was outside. "Oh. I'm always looking for survivors that got lost or need any kind of help. You could say I'm a scout. A people scout." He grinned. Especially after what Shiloh said about carrying Dione. "Oh! My name is Boubka by the way. Boubka Frolig."

The fox listened to Dione's story. "Station Square has been skimmed down. You're lucky that you didn't actually went further in. The ammount of robots there is overwhelming. They think people will return to Station Square for emotional reasons. It's one of the places where the robots capture most people. Also there's nothing really to find there. Only a few buildings that are partially standing. And of course one of those robot bases. Not a really smart thing to go there." The fox felt bad for telling her that, but it would be for the better. His own last visit there wasn't really pleasant either.

Tala asked for a place where she could find clothing. "Oh! I think I know a place somewhere. We could go there! They have some fine stuff." He looked at the couple, totally forgetting what their ranks were. "Wanna come with us? It'd sure be fun!" Oops. Sudden realisation that they're probably having more important stuff to do. It was too late to turn back now. A friendly smile greeted the the other mobians around him as the tram finally arrived at its end point after some rattling gears.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Bailen was comforted by Shiloh's loving touch. He always had been, and acknowledged that he could never have led this civilization without her. Still, her current mood was quite amusing. He knew she wasn't normally so kind. If he wasn't there, Shiloh would be much more hostile toward the newcomers. His wife then started the introductions, prompting him to provide a slight nod to the trio as his name and title were mentioned.

The first to speak was the green wolf, mentioning how the red wolf saved her life and how the blue fellow jumped in to lend a hand. They were very lucky to run into each other. So, Bailen now had their names. Dione, Tala, and Boubka. Interesting...

Bailen listened intently to the conversation, his steely gaze bouncing between the three of them as they each spoke up. Dione mentioned Station Square, and Bailen was about to inform her of its destruction, but Boubka beat him to the punch. Huh, the guy definitely knew his stuff. He'd make a good scout for the Sanctuary Guard.

The red one was quieter than the other two. She was a lot more cryptic and seemed to keep to herself. What was she hiding? Bailen glanced to his wife, knowing she was picking up on it too. They'd have to keep their eyes on this one.

The tram finally lurched to a stop with a series of screeches and rattles. Bailen pulled himself to his feet with his rifle and slid the door open. Tala asked if she could acquire another set of clothes, but Boubka answered first again. So, he'd been here before. It made sense. A lot of drifters migrated to Sanctuary for, well, sanctuary.

The German Shepherd stared at the blue fox for a moment, caught off guard by Boubka's offer to tag along. "No." He gestured to Dione and offered her a hand. "I'm going to get her to the hospital and have her leg looked at." Although he was grumpy and seemed somewhat anti-social, he showed a surprising regard for their safety. "An infected wound is the last thing you want nowadays. It'll kill you faster than any robot will."

The streets of Sanctuary were dusty and aged, but surprisingly sprawling with people. Everyone was busy and focused on their duties. There were shops and food stands down every street, though not much food was on display. It was obvious the city was on the brink of famine. The group exited the tram and Bailen stood with Shiloh and Dione, using his shoulder to help support the green wolf's wounded leg.

"We'll meet up again at the church tower in an hour." He said to Boubka and Tala. The blue fox was very capable and he undoubtedly knew where that was. With that, Bailen gave Boubka and Tala a nod as he and Shiloh escorted Dione to the city center.

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Shiloh still seemed to be pacing, caught up in her own thoughts as the tram came to a halt. Her attention clicked sharply toward Bailen and the 'new recruits', so to speak. Her eyebrows immediately furrowed as the cyan fox spoke of them 'tagging along' for nothing but clothes shopping. Her mind went its usual slightly hostile way. "Wh-are you kidding me? Your friend is hobbling along here with a wound in her leg, you used to know her twenty-odd years ago, it could be infected and all you can think about IS CLOTHES SHOPPING?" She had started calmly, though ended up as she usually did with her snarling tone. She narrowed her eyes, shooting the fox a look of pure disdain. For her it wasn't quite understandable, as she was a protector of sorts. A guard dog, you could say, so leaving those who needed help (especially friends and family) was not something she would do at all.

As they reached the city centre, Shiloh and Bailen positioned the wolf to sit on a wheelchair. She was wheeled in to a small hospital room where she was visited by a nurse whom was quite obviously flustered by all the work there was to do so she kept the idle chatter to a minimum and got the leg cleaned, some parts stitched, and dressed properly. Bailen and Shiloh both gave a thankful nod as the nurse ran out of the room, most likely toward another patient that needed help.

After half an hour of letting the stitches in her leg rest, Shiloh left the room and came back with a crutch. Just one, as her other leg was fine, so it was something to keep her up and walking until the stitches had done their job. "You'll have to dress that properly every couple days or so, just in case dust or the water down here gets in to it at all. Make sure it doesn't get infected, because if it does then we'll just have to take it off." she growled bluntly. Suddenly realising that it may be slightly extreme, she stuttered, beginning another sentence while trying to catch up with the one she just said. "B-ut uhh, you know. Only if you're REALLY dumb with it. Look, it's happened before." she sighed, here eyelid covering half of her eye with a very un-amused expression.

As Dione helped herself out of the hospital, Bailen and Shiloh followed after her to make sure she didnt fall face first on to the ground with the crutch. "Perhaps your friends will be out from their clothes shop by now." she grunted. "Perhaps they bought themselves some lovely frocks or pretty blouses." she grinned at Bailen as she spoke about their dress-up, he gave a chuckle in response. That was what she wanted to see.

In the distance the cyan fox and red wolf could be seen walking in to the city centre, most likely to see Dione. "I think I see your friends now actually, pup."

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by Dione Mon Sep 26, 2016 12:35 pm

When Boubka told his story about Station Square, Dione looked down and closed her eyes. She felt an overwhelming feeling of sadness flushing through her mind and it left her a bit absent, wondering who could've survived such a disaster. She was lucky she left the city when the war broke out. She had warned her parents and her brother, but they were stubborn and stayed. They were all killed in a horrible accident with the robots.

The tram stopped moving at the station and the doors opened. Dione's ears flicked at the squeeking noise of the old and rusty doors. When Bailen spoke up, she looked back up and noticed his hand in front of her. She took it and stood up. Apparently he wanted her to go to the hospital and by the likes of it, he'd come too. It actually wasn't a bad idea at all. She had her bandages and her anti-infective cream, but she was running short on them and having a professional look at it would be safer. She just hoped it wouldn't be too bad.

After him Shiloh spoke in a response to Boubka's comment. She sounded rather angry and looked like it too. 'Wow. She's someone you don't want to pick a fight with...' Dione thought and looked amazed at the woman that was standing next to Bailen and herself. She looked back at the cyan fox that was standing in front of her and saw a look on his face that could be described as surprised and maybe a bit startled.

When the group exited the tram, Dione leaned a bit on Bailen's shoulder, just for the extra bit of support it would give her, might the wound start hurting again. Bailen instructed Boubka and Tala where and when they would all meet up again and then carried on. The green woman followed him and his wife. She had little to no choice but to follow them actually, as the man seemed to insist she'd come to the hospital, no matter her own opinion.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached the hospital. It looked worn out, as did everything here. Though, despite its appearance, Sanctuary had a lively vibe to itself. When the trio entered the hospital, Dione was more or less instructed to sit in a wheelchair. "W- well I'm fine, I can walk." she said before noticing the looks on the couple's faces. The woman sat down and tried to roll herself forward in the chair, until she noticed someone was pushing her.

The nurse who was going to help her looked rather busy and maybe even a tad chaotic because of all the work that had to be done with all the patients. She immediatly got to work with the green lady's leg and in a matter of  minutes the leg was disinfected and stitched, bandages were rolled around it and the nurse ran off to help someone else. "Thank you!" Dione said but the busy woman had already left.

The stitches felt weird and her leg itched a bit, but she had to wait. If she'd scratch it now, the stitches would break and her leg would be open again. Instead she just played with her hair and chatted a bit with Bailen and Shiloh to pass the time. After what seemed about thirty minutes, Shiloh stood up and left the room, only to return with a crutch. When she spoke, Dione's face turned from semi-happy to scared in a splitsecond. "Wait, you're saying they'd have to amputate my leg!?" The words came out louder than she meant to but she was rather afraid of what could happen. The wolfdog's second comment made her feel more at ease. Shiloh handed the crutch to her and she stood up, resting her weight onto one leg and the crutch.

Walking with it seemed rather easy and Dione quickly got the hang of it. The three people reached the exit of the hospital quickly and then looked around to see if they could spot Boubka and Tala. The woman couldn't help but laugh a little at Shiloh's remark about the shopping of the two. She felt more comfortable around the two leaders of Sanctuary after the hospital visit, and she was glad she had met them. "Perhaps they have, we will see haha."

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ForevaYoung Mon Sep 26, 2016 6:53 pm

The general area of the whole of the Sanctuary was not one to be taken lightly. Literally every little nook and cranny was man-made, which showed just how much time had really gone into making this place a safe haven for everyone who found it. Some small children ran around in groups of three or four, playing pretend with each other, or merely just being kids in general and getting in the way of the working adults.

Tala had watched the kids out the very corner of her eye as she and Boubka strolled towards a clothing store not too far away from where the church that Bailen had said to meet up at was. On entering, it was apparent that the store was small, but held a lot inside it.
There were coats, pants, shoes, holsters, and everything in between for every type of Mobian available. There was even a small area dedicated to socks, socks of all things!

"I'm going to find some jeans and maybe some shoes," She gestured to her ruined feet with a slight pout. They were comfy, but didn't do well in the way of keeping her feet protected. "If you need anything, I suggest getting it fast, don't want to keep the others waiting after all. Its bad enough they think we're wasting time to get clothes at a time like this."

The white tipped female wandered around to find a pair of bottoms that were similar in colour to the almost annihilated shorts she was currently holding on and immediately took them in her hands to claim them as hers. She always held a fondness for the colour teal. Across the shop she spotted a long jacket, dark brown in colour, but it looked like it could keep her protected against the harsh dust storms outside. She nodded to nobody in particular as she slipped the covering from its hanger, before striding towards the smaller shoe area with purpose. She wasn't a fan of shopping unless she needed to, smaller spaces made her feel uncomfortable and that made her want out of the small shop as fast as she could.

Spotting a pair of sandy brown and black reinforced boots that went up to just below the knees with thick buckles, she grabbed them and made a beeline for the counter to pay for everything. She looked to make sure Boubka was with her, or at least nearby so she could see where he was. Once she paid using the last of the very little money she lad on her person, she stood by the counter and waited for the blue male to finish up patiently.

She thought to the looks she received from the ones in charge of the Sanctuary, and didn't blame them for their lack of trust. Particularly towards her for being so quiet, but it was only because she felt that getting close to others, and even regarding them as more than acquaintances would lead to them getting hurt. She wouldn't let them get hurt because of a stupid mistake in the past, so chose to openly distance herself from them all. So what if she was seen as untrustworthy because of it? It was for the best.

She loooked out the door window to see more kids walking around with smiles on their faces like nothing in the world was wrong, and it brought a distant smile onto the two-toned females face as a warm thought came to her.

'If only we could be children forever.'

Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance Empty Re: Future Mobius: Freedom's Last Chance

Post by ChaoticBou Tue Sep 27, 2016 4:03 pm

Just after he said it, and after the yelling at him, he realised he said something pretty stupid. "Oh...Ehm...sorry....I kinda forgot that was a thing." It felt like as if he was more saying it to Shiloh than to Dione herself. A quick nod to Dione. "I hope you understand." Bou was a bit overwhelmed with all this stuff suddenly happening. People being wounded slowly became a regular thing to him and not something he directly noticed on people. Bailen said they'd meet up at the church tower again in an hour. "Easy enough. We'll be there! I know where it is."

He glanced at Tala. "Let's go. I'll show you where you gotta go for some new clothes." While walking to the store some kids were playing on the streets. The fox walked by them. They first seemed a bit afraid of the fox, expecting some kind of shooing or yelling at them for getting in the way, but instead he smiled and waved at them. The two entered the shop. Tala told him about her struggles with her current clothing. "Don't worry. Grab the stuff you need. I got stuff to pay with if you run short on trading material." In this post-apocalyptic time, it became more usual to not only pay with money, but also with actual things or services. It didn't always work, but most people were always in for some chocolate.

The fox himself had quite the solid fashionline himself, but found some elbow and knee protectors that could come in handy when going into the wild. He also found a kinda worn neckerchief that strangely attracted him in some way. He had a neckerchief before. It was very useful in sandy areas, that slowly became the standard area in Mobius. He however lost his last neckerchief by bandaging someone else's wound. He bet that the guy he gave it to was still using it. A small smile for the memories.

He walked up to the wolf. "That'd do for now." He waited for Tala to get her stuff fixed and then paid after her. "Now whadda ya think of 2 chocolate bars together with these bills?" The person behind the counter accepted. The fox began running low on money. Not a good thing. But he didn't want to start working again. There were people in the wilderness that needed his help. He told himself to worry about that later. First it was time to meet up with the rest. "We still have a few minutes. We'll make it there easily."

Just before they could leave. Tala told Bou somewhat about being a child forever. The fox smiled with a taint of sadness. "If we'd be children forever, who's gonna take care of the world then? We gotta move on somehow." The fox didn't like to be pessimistic. Maybe he could turn it a bit around though. "We can always stay kids in our hearts though. Have never done something else!" He grinned as he walked out of the shop.

It suddenly came back. That feeling he had when he saw Tala for the first time. That energy...He had to ask her. "So ehm. Do you have any powers? Say....very related to chaos energy? Because I can sense a LOT of chaos energy coming from you and I'm very interested." Wait. Maybe that wasn't enough to convince her to tell him about it. "It'd maybe also help you with finding a new weapon!"

The fox could see the others coming their way already. They weren't even at the church yet. He waved at them. "Heyo! And? How did it go? Does it need to be amputated?" He grinned, not even knowing it could maybe be the case.
