Good Cop, Bad Cop Empty Good Cop, Bad Cop

Post by Midknight Mon Nov 23, 2015 10:29 pm

I had mentioned this RP in my ideas topic, but thought I should make a separate topic so it can be discussed cause I'm quit eager to get it thought about

The general concept is that your character ( Hero or Villain character ) is being forced against their will to work with a mismatched group of other Mobians, a mixed "team" of heroes and villians who have no choice but to work with each other to complete their goal. This I think could be interesting as obviously, a hero/good character will create a strategy, or solution completely different to that of a villain/bad character, due to different moral stand points of course.

However I'm struggling to come up with the following -

1. Who is forcing these characters to work together

2. How are they forcing them? Have they implanted explosives into the characters? if they disobey orders they go boom? Is the fate of the world on their shoulders? I mean...Some villains wanna see the world destroyed but I guess some enjoy having a world to live on/

3. What is their mission? What could cause heroes and villains to HAVE to work together?

4. Should their be requirements to join the RP? For example, if people are submitting a hero character, they must give examples and reasons they would be considered, a "hero" - did they save someones life? Did they stop a bomb from blowing up the whole city? Did they hand out free wi-fi? Where do your characters morals stand? If so, what would you consider the requirements to be in order to be a hero, or villain?

That's all I can think of right now, suggestions are greatly appreciated! And also let me know if you would be interested~

I really like this idea, for certain. But I'm completely out of the ideas for the main three. XD All I know is the main mission should be something near world threatening.

A requirement of sorts would be ideal, either way! I mean, when it comes to heroes and villains, they get identified for their actions, not much else.

Unless you wouldn't mind wannabe heroes (or even villains) jumping in, I think a requirement.. should be in place? Sort of.

Interesting idea, but I'd not be sure whether Envy is considered a hero or villain. Although with his new personality...
They could be forced by having to obtain keys that are on the opposite teams body. Whilst the keys that the characters have cannot be used by their own team due to technology.

(Jus' an idea.)

One thing you can always consider is that villains have a tendency to be against other villains almost as much as they are against the heroes. For instance;

1. If a villain is about to take over the world, every other villain who wants to take over the world themselves is gonna take issue with that, and might even work with heroes to stop it.

2. If something is going to destroy the world, the majority of villains are gonna want to stop that unless they share that goal. Because most villains on at least some level require the world to be intact for their plans to work. Plus, many villains enjoy living!

I think I'd definitely find it more interesting if it is an 'enemy mine' situation, where they're working together due to a common goal, as opposed to working together because someone has arbitarily forced them to. You can drive a lot more genuine interaction that way.

It should be world threatening, like a 3rd faction rises to take over everything. Before anything can be done, both sides are decimated to the brink of defeat. Both sides surrender with strict terms and rule from the 3rd faction. In the midst of the fighting, many heroes and villains are put in Cryogenic Stasis in a 'Prison' of sorts. X years, months, decades, etc. later, they're freed by a potential ally. From there, the characters decide how to break out, get a means of transport, and escape to regroup and begin to fight back.

Just a basic idea suggestion. You got the idea, I gave details (If you want)

Hmm. Quite interesting points there, i have to agree that not many villans or heroes think alike, some heroes might be more like Batman and use brute force to get things done in the cause of "greater good" while generally being against anything that takes a life. But what i want to say is, not many characters fit the description they are given. Villans can be using their wit to get others to do the dirty work instead or follow specific rules they set for themselves. And.. Kinda funny, i thought the Rp would had been a "Buddy cop" movie thing. Sorry if its insulting or anything.
