Hey, everyone, it's me again!

So, I went back to the idea of a roleplay based around Caen's (my main OC's) occupation, acting. However, instead of the presumably combat-based and, frankly, bland idea I had last time, I've thought of something a bit more... Interesting, perhaps? I'll see what you guys think.

So, my main idea is for all your OCs (and potentially canon characters, if they ever log on. Ha.) are involved in a movie, and the whole idea of the rp is on a movie set. People could be actors, or staff (staff can easily be done through generic background characters if noone's interested in that, though). Thats all I have so far, and I'd like to see what interest there is, before moving onto what genre of film it could be, what to include (auditions? Breaks? Actual filming?)

Opinions and other such things are welcome, so long as they're constructive, of course.

I find this very intriguing, since we ourselves act out our characters, acting in a movie. It's so meta that it's brilliant! I can't believe that people really haven't thought of this before. While I'm definitely not on here enough to join, this was an interesting read nonetheless. I'll give your character's bio a read, if it's the least that I can do.

I'd join. I've been making a new character and this would be a nice way to introduce.

I'm still waiting on a response to this. C'mon guys, don't be shy to tell me what you think! If you think the idea's terrible, then I'll scrap it, if you think it's good, however, tell me that! I cant make an RP without knowing whether or not people would join!

Alright, so I've spent the last few days on-off thinking about this rp, because it's an idea I really like? Like I am a sucker for anything that involves acting.

The main problem I have is trying to work out characters to use for it. Again, like the theatre one you made awhile back, I do not know many people whom have characters who's day job is acting - in fact, outside of yourself, I know exactly one person who does - Which makes trying to explain a characters presence remarkably difficult. People could make new characters expressly for this RP, but.... I dunno, I personally don't like making a whole new character specifically for a single rp.

I think the easiest way around this is to have the director, like... look for actors/background characters from the general population. Like, for example, if they needed a librarian they just... used a library instead of casting a specific character. The only problem with this then becomes 'well, how do we know our character is needed?' or 'well why should I bother if my character isn't going to be a main part.' - Or people could easily be members of the staff, hired on the cheap. I know I have characters who could easily do a costume design role, but the question then becomes 'well, how would they fit into the rp?'

Ultimately, your next question of 'what genre' should hopefully fix this? Like right now, the idea is neat but... way to vague for most people to try fitting into. Once there is a more precise idea, hopefully more people will start showing interest.
