"Oh, thank you, thank you!" the schoolgirl walked in and headed straight for the balcony. "I was worried you'd say no. The grump downstairs said she'd visit you as well, though I'm not sure when." Then again, she also could have just said that to get Ivona off her back.

"Don't worry about it. I'm a nice person. I just hope that hawk doesn't try to make my life worst." " Don't worry master. If that happens I'll make sure to eat her sou-" "Lillith why don't you think in the positive. Please?"

The schoolgirl laid down on the single stretcher on the balcony. This and walking around outside all day was the only reliable way to keep her powers charged.

The tenants didn't have to know that.

There was another knock, followed by another. Someone on the other side then let out a sigh.

Lillith went next to Ivona. She was observing her. " Something feels odd about you?" Liela went once again to the door opening it.

The single streak of yellow hair begun to glow, but stopped the moment she noticed Lillith and jolted out of the stretcher. "I-I uh- how do I explain this?"

It was the female hawk. "Hey, I wanted to at least get to know you two, give you a chance before writing you off."

Lillith smirked. "Explain what? Your hair or the energy you were giving off?" "Oh thanks for giving us a chance. But if you really want to get to know us I have to know this. Are you ok with the supernatural?"

"Both." The mouse muttered.

"No, not really," the hawk replied, arms crossed. "If you believe in it, that's fine, good for you, but I don't." Her definition of supernatural was things moving on their and the occasional odd noise or unexplained figures on CCTV.

"Well best explain quick." "You do realize that this whole mansion was haunted by a ghost. The owner hired Lillith and I to get rid of it before he started to rent out rooms here. But if you don't believe in that Then I'll show you proof of it. If you have the time."

"I uh...I have light-based powers and need either sunlight or artificial light to keep them charged," she explained. "Balcony's the best spot for that."

"Key word being 'was'," the hawk responded agressively. "I have my own beliefs and no proof will change them. I'm not partaking in any funny business involving you and your friend getting high as a kite and seeing ghosts."

"Eh. Master's powers are cooler." "EXCUSE ME!!! I do not get high! Ghost are real! You know what! EXPLAIN THIS!!!" Liela unpossessed her body and let her ghostly self phase through the hawk.

"WHAT! REALLY IM RIGHT HERE! A REAL LIFE GHOST!" Liela went closer. "I'm not crazy! I'm real! Why try and touch me!" Lillith turned back to the room to look at Liela. "And master is in her ghost form." She sighed.

But the hawk did not acknowledge her and just left. "Not giving them another chance," she thought to herself. "Especially not to someone who's crazy."

Liela looked really mad. "Why I oughta-" " Would you like me to follow her and give her the appropriate punishment for not acknowledging you existence?" "No I just don't get it! I phased right through her and she thinks I'M crazy!" Liela floated to where Lillith was on the balcony. Lillith pointed at Ivona." Uh you still have a visitor here and you're in the ghost form"

Ivona's eyes and odd-coloured streak of hair lit up in a bright yellow. In a defensive stance, she held a balls of weaponized light in her hands.

The schoolgirl, however, did not stand down. "I'm sorry, bit of a habit I have when I see something strange," she said. "I really do hope you're not a ghost."

Ivona returned to normal; she didn't want to fight. "Suppose not," she said. "I'll accept it, even if I don't understand, unlike the other housemate." Which begged the question, was she gonna antagonize them now or make their days worse?

"I think I'm in between. I mean I know I sort of died when I was 5 but maybe not completely. I'm alive in my body but at the same time I'm just possessing it like a ghost. If my body dies completely I just can't posses it anymore. "

The veins on the schoolgirl's arm became highlighted. "I killed myself by jumping off a bridge," she explained nonchalantly. "Was dead for the better half of the day, somehow washed ashore. Next thing I knew, a symbiotic alien... thing had revived me and spent an hour talking me out of giving the bridge another try."
