Guiding Light

Flame gave a short snort of mild amusement. She raised up the arm she was still clearly favoring.

"Little late for that, don't 'cha think?" she pointed out.

Wolf stares at Flame for a few moments.

"I... didn't realize. You never said anything... I... I thought you were fine..." he replies.

He glances down at the floor in front of himself.

"I'm sorry..." he says, "I didn't mean to drag you into this..."

"I am fine. I just suddenly became a lefty, yeah," Flame remarked dryly, "Y'know, for funsies." She smirked as she lowered her arm again. "It's just more sore than I'd like to deal with at any given time. If things stay chill, should be fine."

"If..." Wolf repeats.

He turns away and moves back over to the bed. He sits down there heavily.

"I doubt that's going to happen though." he says, "Nothing has ever settled down after one encounter."

"Well, I didn't see anything outside," Flame pointed out, "Are your 'instincts' still telling you to get gone?"

"Yes." Wolf replies, "But it doesn't feel quite as urgent."

"See? Maybe you just need to settle down a bit," Flame suggested, "Maybe a shower will help."
She leaned against the wall and glanced around the room rather boredly. This wasn't exactly how she'd wanted to spend her day after all.

Wolf shakes his head slightly.

"I don't think I'll get one." he says, "If you'd like to though, go right ahead."

"Maybe later on," Flame replied, "I had a shower this morning and don't really feel like having damp quills again so soon."

Wolf nods slightly in response to that.

"What are you going to do then?" he asks.

"I dunno... Hang out, I guess."

Flame glanced down at her phone. "I should prob charge this thing soon." She looked back at Wolf. "Are you gonna go back to sleep?" she asked.

"I don't think so." Wolf replies, "I think I'm too... on edge for that right now."

Flame frowned a bit. "Well, we could always just turn on the tv and see if there's anything good on," she suggested. She pushed off of the wall she'd been leaning against and started off to the other side of the bed where she'd left her backpack.

"I guess so." Wolf replies, "I suppose it wouldn't hurt anyway."

He looks up and glances towards her again.

As she passed the television set, Flame grabbed up the remote control sitting there. She hit the power button and the screen came to life, showing commercials for whatever channel it had been left on. The hedgehog didn't bother to look at the television, though, as she knelt down by her backpack and opened it up to find the charger for her phone.
She tossed the control onto the bed and said, "You can see if there's anything you wanna watch."

"Oh, alright." Wolf replies.

He moves along the bed to pick up the remote from where it had landed. He looks down at the remote and starts trying to make sense of the controls and how they are labelled.

It seemed to be a fairly straight-forward control with the usual numbered buttons, channel up and down and volume controls on it, along with other things such a mute and menu buttons as well.

Flame found her charger easily enough and she stood up, glancing around for an outlet. There was fortunately one by the side of the bed she was and the hedgehog stepped over and plugged the charger into the wall, then plugged the other end into her phone. She then sat down on the bed and glanced over at the television.

Wolf had taken to pressing buttons at random to see what they did. He rarely watched television to say nothing of actually operating one. While he could read most of the labels, he wasn't sure what the buttons actually did until he'd selected them.

By the time Flame had sat on the bed, he'd figured out what the volume and channel changes buttons were. He wasn't sure what the numbered ones did though.

Flame pulled her feet up onto the bed and sat back against the headboard like she'd been earlier. She glanced at Wolf briefly before settling her gaze on the television and setting her phone in her lap.

Wolf glances back at Flame.

"Let me know if you see anything you want to watch." he says, "I don't really know much about shows."

He looks back to the television screen and starts to flip through channels, keeping them there for about 15 to 20 seconds so they can see what's on.

"Yeah, I don't really watch much tv, myself," Flame admitted, "I end up just wanting to get out and take a run."

"Sounds like something we have in common." Wolf replies, as he glances back at her, "Would rather be outside."

"Outside is where all the interestin' stuff is after all," Flame pointed out, "I'd rather go experience stuff than watch other people experiencing stuff."

"Huh... Sounds like a familiar sentiment." Wolf says, "I had a friend who probably thought the same way."

"Yeah?" Flame asked, "It just makes sense to me, really."
