The coyote makes his way over to Wolf and looks down at him.

"So.. are you going to get up or should I just drag you out of here?" the coyote asks, keeping his distance in case Wolf was ready to try anything.

Wolf glances up at him.

"Not bold enough to just step over here and make me now, are you?" Wolf replies.

"Believe me... I can easily leave you in a state where you'll have to be dragged or carried to get out of here." the coyote retorts, "I've had enough of these games. One way or another, you'll be coming with me."

Getting up to the roof with the use of only one arm and an aching body proved to be quite the trip. Flame found herself being thankful it was only a single story building that she was climbing up. She made it up to the top of the ladder and then climbed off of it. The hedgehog started to walk towards the edge, then suddenly stopped before she could take more than two steps. Her gaze lowered and she sighed and slowly eased down to her knees. If she didn't want to be spotted easily, she would have to stay low...

The maneuvering was difficult and definitely painful as she laid herself out on her front and started to crawl along the rooftop. She winced as she had to move her right arm and her scraped knees kept rubbing across the stone she was crawling across.

'I'm gonna need a good, long spa day after this...' Flame thought crossly.

She slowed as she reached the edge of the roof. Her ears flattened down to either side of her head and she cautiously peered down towards the street below. She could see the truck from where she was, as well as part of Wolf. And she definitely saw the coyote, standing there being a jerk.

Unfortunately, he wasn't facing away from her hiding place and she could probably be spotted easily if she moved too much or if he really was that observant. The hedgehog hesitated, trying to guess how far off she was. Sure, she was still... mostly in attacking range. But the farther off she tried to send an attack, the more uncontrolled it was likely to be. And Flame most definitely didn't want to carry a wrecked wolf with her if he got caught in the blast.

'Maybe I should have picked a better roof...'

Wolf slowly climbed to his feet, obviously still in great discomfort. The coyote watches him, his gaze lifting as he did so. In doing that, he does in fact see, the top of Flame's head on the roof of the building behind Wolf.

"Back for more it seems." he says.

He turns and points his paw towards Flame's hiding spot. When he takes his focus off Wolf, Wolf suddenly charges forward at him. The coyote quickly swings his paw back towards Wolf, a ball of dark energy already forming there. Wolf raises his paws up in front of him just in front of the coyote's paw.

There is a sudden burst of energy between them as a brief white flash again accompanies the coyote's attack. The coyote and Wolf are tossed in opposite directions away from each other. Wolf lands in the bed of the pick up truck. The coyote lands hard on the ground about twenty feet away.

When the coyote's gaze turned to her, Flame didn't need any further warning to make her move.

'Are you fucking kidding me?!'

She ducked her head down and was visible again as she started to scramble back from the edge of the roof. She winced and let out a short, "Fffff-aaccckk!" as she put weight down on her right arm. It made her falter briefly in her escape and clutch at the injured limb.
The sound of energy being released from the ground below and behind her made Flame immediately duck down, practically curling up forward from where she was currently on her knees in hopes of avoiding anything that might have been fired off at her. She waited.

After a few moments, nothing had happened. She opened one eye and glanced up. Her ears perked as she glanced over her shoulder. The hedgehog, still holding onto her arm, slowly rose to her feet and turned back towards the street. She spotted the coyote on the ground and, upon moving closer to the edge of the roof, spotted Wolf in the back of the truck.

Although uncertain of what had happened, she stepped up onto the edge of the roof. She was more than a little upset that her attempt to be stealthy had been for absolutely nothing. Flame grumbled softly as she looked down at the truck, then made a leap off of the building and onto the top of the truck. Her landing made the truck shift and shake a little beneath her and her boots gave a loud, 'thunk' as they impacted.

She only glanced briefly at Wolf, but wasn't going to waste time now. Stealth not a good tactic here? Fine. Flame raised her good arm towards where the coyote had landed, whether he was starting to stir or not. There was a wave of sudden heat from very close to one side of him, but less than a moment later, it burst as another one of Flame's explosions, intended to hurl him farther away. Even better if into some obstacle closeby.

The coyote was dazed by another attack of his being blocked by Wolf. He was just starting to get back up when Flame landed on the truck. He looks up towards her before he gets to his feet, and is then sent flying away by another of Flame's attacks.

He crashes through a door leading into another nearby shop, taking the door right off its hinges, and he disappears from sight as several crashes and screams are heard from inside.

"Stay the hell down this time!" the navy hedgehog shouted after the coyote. She was not paying for that door.

Flame remained up on the roof and she looked at Wolf, this time to actually see how he was holding up.

Wolf looked like he might've been knocked out by that last exchange and the landing he'd made in the back of the truck. He was sprawled out and had his eyes closed, but he was breathing.

Flame cast another glance to where she'd last seen the coyote. There was a brief pause before the hedgehog hopped down into the bed of the truck, shaking the vehicle again in doing so. She knelt down and reached over to nudge Wolf's shoulder.

"Hey. Wolf. C'mon, this is no time to be out," she urged.

Wolf didn't respond to Flame jostling the truck or her nudging.

Most people in the area kept their distance from them. A few braver ones went to glance over into the store the coyote had ended up. It was quiet there as well.

When Wolf didn't react, Flame's ears and shoulders drooped as she let out another loud sigh. "Ugh, are you kidding me?" she complained. The teen slowly rose to her feet again and cast another glance towards the storefront the coyote had gone through. Her gaze lowered back to Wolf.

"I am not carryin' you," she stated flatly, giving him another light nudge with her boot, though she figured it was unlikely to do anything. Now, it seemed she needed another plan. Great.

Again, Wolf doesn't react to Flame's gentle prodding.

For the moment though, she seemed to have time to find an alternative or try something else.

Flame peered about, looking uncertain as her gaze drifted across the onlookers in the area. She was really out of ideas if this darn wolf didn't wake up. She definitely wasn't strong to haul him out of the truck, much less carry him away.

The hedgehog looked back down at Wolf again. Her brow furrowed and she knelt, getting a hold of his shoulders. "Wake up!" she insisted louder, giving him a shake as best as she could without just slamming his head into the bed of the truck. "If I kill that guy because he doesn't stay the fuck down, I'm blamin' you completely!"

The shouting and shaking had its desired effect. Wolf's eyes snapped open and he immediately raised his arms in front of himself to protect his head, as he thought that Flame was attacking him.

Flame released her grip on Wolf and shifted back from him when he lifted up his arms. There was a moment of pause as she wasn't sure what he was doing at first. Upon realizing he was defending himself, she let out a loud breath.

"Finally," she stated, though she was rather exaggerating, "I was not about to carry you anywhere, pal."

Wolf glances out from between his forearms shortly after Flame backed off. Once he realizes it's her, he relaxes a little.

"Where... is he?" he asks.

"Shopping," Flame replied dryly, "I blasted him again and he went through a doorway." She glanced back over in that direction. "That's our cue to get the fuck out of here before he gets up again."

The hedgehog winced a little as she rose up from her knees. She leaned down and dusted the scrapes briefly with her left paw before offering to help Wolf up. "C'mon."

"Enough that I'm pretty pissed off," Flame replied, withdrawing her paw and standing up straight again. "But as long as I can still run, I'm fine."
She turned away to climb back out of the back of the truck, supporting herself on the side of it with her uninjured paw. Her eyes kept glancing back over to the smashed-in door, however. She expected trouble to come bursting back out any moment.

"Hold on." Wolf says as she starts to climb out of the truck.

He climbs out, still clearly hurting as he gets down onto the ground. He then reaches out to help Flame back down from the truck.

Flame glanced over at Wolf when he spoke. She had one paw down on the rim of the truck and was leaning her weight on it to sit down and swing her legs over the edge. The hedgehog's irritated expression softened a bit as Wolf offered to help her down. She kept her right arm held close to her middle to keep him from trying to reach for it and instead held on to him with her left as she swung her legs over the side of the truck and then dropped down onto the pavement.

"Thanks," she said simply.

He glances around, apparently looking for something.

"She where were you thinking of going?" he asks.

"Away from here," Flame replied, "Quickly." She paused, though.

"Wait, what about that other guy?" she asked, looking to where the squirrel had been thrown earlier, "That was a pretty brutal landing..."

"Gods... I'd forgotten about him." Wolf says quietly.

He turns away and glances over to where he'd seen the squirrel launched earlier. He starts making his way over there as fast as he can, but he can do little more than speed walk with the punishment he's taken.

Flame glanced back to where she'd last seen the coyote one more time. She then started to follow after Wolf to go and check on the squirrel from earlier. Something told her he wasn't a sturdy, super-powered citizen like herself, seeing as she had yet to see him get back up and keep going...

Wolf head over to the building that the squirrel had been not so gently put inside only a short time earlier. The interior of the store was a mess. It had been some sort of clothing or fabric store, given that pieces of fabric were strewn about. The debris created from the squirrel's forced entry had shot out like shrapnel, tearing through displays... and a couple of people by the looks of it. It didn't look like there was anyone moving inside the store, but it would take time to maneuver through the mess and locate anyone... assuming there was anyone left in any condition to find.

Looking at this, Wolf feels a cold chill and a shudder move through him. He closes his eyes as more sadness and regret welled up inside him. More losses... because of him.
