There should be a *user is typing*  and *user has read*  Something like with text messages but on this site and you may be asking your self "why?" well look at what the system does for skype users and even you text messengers out there do you see how useful it is?  Well if not I have and I think it would be a grand idea for SRN how about you.

Again, implementing that would be impossible. We're not coders, and I've never seen any forum who's actually done that. It's a neat idea yeah, and would help, but the thing is that we literally can't do that because we don't have the knowledge. I don't even think that's possible to begin with, sadly!

I'd say the closest thing is the Who Is Online? list. If you access that, it tends to list where people are/what they're doing on the forum. Including if they're typing anywhere. Unfortunately, that's about the closest we can get on forumotion.

You can't unless you run a special script. This coding seems to be based off that phpBB stuff, which doesn't have script for that sort of thing. Even if you guys knew how to do it you wouldn't be able to do it without a MAJOR overhaul, switching to a template that integrated better with complex scripts.

The BEST they could do, if the admins knew how would be to make it so that, would be a chatroom widget for the entire site (which I believe they have I just cant see it on mobile.)
