In the Middle of Summer

"Well it looked like it almost did so." Wolf replies.

He looks at her camera.

"Do you thinking cleaning it will be much trouble?" he asks.

"Nahhh, I'll give it a dip in the ocean," Reena replied, dusting off the device a bit. "I knew to at least just bring a waterproof camera with me here. Should be fine until I can rinse it back in the room."

"Oh, I see." Wolf says, "You were thinking ahead."

"Can't be too careful when you're at a place like this!" Reena pointed out, "I've lost a camera or two to water before."

She reached over to the basket, breaking off half of a cookie and then taking a bite of the piece in her paw.

Wolf nods slightly.

"Experience tends to be a good teacher." he says.

"That it does," Reena agreed.

She turned and started off back towards the water, shoving the rest of the cookie in her paw into her mouth. "Now lesh shee if I can get my pic thish time!"

"Just watch out for anything else that might come flying at you." Wolf says.

He smiles slightly as she walks off. He then turns to grab another piece of the cookie he broke up.

The Klee Kai first swallowed down the food in her mouth, then glanced back.

"Yeah, you can watch my back for me!" Reena replied, giving her curled tail a little swish in Wolf's direction.

Wolf snorts softly.

*Like there's much I can do from back here.* he thinks to himself.

Reena made her way back to the water's edge, walking out into the knee-deep water. She looked around for a little bit, then leaned down and dunked her camera under the water, rinsing away the grains of sand that were on it. It was only a quick dip before Reena stood up straight again and shook the camera to get some of the water off. She then brought it closer and began to carefully dry it off with her shirt.

Wolf watches Reena as she gets out into the water and then dips her camera into it. He's about finished with his broken cookie by now, so he gets his bottle of water to have a long drink from it. The taste of the powdered sugar lingered and it was a bit much for his tastes.

With her camera clean of sand and now somewhat dry-ish, Reena raised the device back up to her face again, considering a photo from there. Deciding against it, she turned and started back up the beach, coming to a halt once she was back out of the water. And then again, the Klee Kai set to framing her shot to her liking.

At least the kids had run off farther down the beach this time.

Setting his water bottle down, Wolf stands up from where he'd been sitting at the table. He stretches and then starts to walk a short distance away from the table, just wanting to be a little active.

It took almost another minute, but Reena finally got her picture of the sun starting to set across the sea. She seemed pleased as she reviewed the image on the camera, her tail wagging a bit again as she turned the camera back off. She started heading back towards Wolf, looking to see what he might have been doing in the meantime.

Wolf was just walking around near the table, occasionally looking over to Reena. When he notices her walking back over, he heads back over to the table and comes to a stop there.

"Well, you wanna do anything else here?" Reena asked once she was close enough, "Dip your feet, let me shove you into a wave?"

"I think I've had enough fun with water today." Wolf replies, "How about you?"

"Mmmm, sure, I guess for today," Reena agreed with a nod, "After all, I get to drag you to the beach for real swimming tomorrow." She smiled mischievously as she slipped her camera back around her neck and stepped past him to gather her things from the picnic table.

"Or you can go swimming while I stand in the shallow water." Wolf replies, smiling slightly.

"Why's that?" Reena asked, glancing at him briefly, "Can't swim or afraid of sharks?"

She picked up another piece of the cookie she'd broken earlier and popped it into her mouth, then picked up the basket and turned so that they could keep walking in the direction they'd been going before their little stop.

"Well... maybe a bit concerned about sharks, but my main reason is because you want me to go swimming with you." he replies, still smiling slightly.

"Bah!" Reena scoffed, "You'd love to see me in a bikini and you know it." She smirked at him, then turned to start heading back down the beach.

Wolf follows along just behind Reena.

"That wouldn't actually require any swimming though." he says.

"I bet if you saw me in a bikini, you'd so want to get closer," the dog teased, "And you'd only be able to do that if you get in the water with me."

"Wouldn't you have to put it on sometime earlier?" Wolf asks.
