In the Middle of Summer

"Huh, go figure, right?" Reena chuckled, "But I mean, better normal than bad, right?"

Her ears perked up under the towel as there was another heavy rumble of thunder outside, but she made no comment of it. Instead, she pulled the towel off of her head and brushed some of the hair back from her face with a soft, "Phew!"

"Of course... it's always better to avoid bad stuff..." he replies.

He finally lowers the towel, wrapping it around his waist so it covered his lower body and most of his legs. He then grabs the clothes he intended to wear and begins to try and wring them out more.

"Most definitely!" came the agreeing reply.
The towel was set aside and Reena turned to where her bag was underneath the hanging rack. She knelt down and the sound of it being unzipped could be heard as she dug around for fresh clothes.

"You still got a lot to dry off in there?" she asked without looking back towards the door. She withdrew her new clothes and then stood up again to re-dress.

"I'm mostly dry. So it's just clothing really..." Wolf replies, "Everything I brought got soaked in the rain."

"Awww, that sucks!" Reena pouted a bit. She shifted quickly to a smirk and added in smugly, "I'd offer you some of my clothes but... well, I think they might be more snug than you like."
She went ahead and started to pull on her undergarments as she spoke.

"I'll just have to put up with it for the time being." he says, "Most of my other things are hanging up in here, so eventually they'll dry out."

"Well, you know you don't have to sit around in wet clothes," Reena added, "I've been seeing shirtless guys all day and some with maybe less than that!"
She giggled briefly.
"If you wanna just keep a towel on a towel for a while, it won't bother me a bit! And maybe we can take your clothes to the dryer here."

He considers her suggestion for a moment.

"I don't think so... It wouldn't be very appropriate." he replies.

He grabs a pair of his briefs and begins pulling them on under his towel.

"Besides... I don't want you to get a picture of me like that." he adds.

"Oh my gosh, Wolf, I'm not gonna take photos of you half-naked," Reena insisted as she slipped on a pair of lounge shorts.
"...Unless you ask me to."

She took a moment to wag her damp tail a couple of times before grabbing a tank top and pulling it over her head. "But do whatever you're comfortable with!" She assured him, "You know I'm not shy. A little leg and some torso doesn't make me blush."

"Uh huh..." he replies, "I've seen enough of you taking pictures when I'm not expecting it a few times already."

He pulls on a pair of dark shorts and a lighter coloured shirt. He hangs up the towel he'd been wearing and then begins to clean up wet patches on the floor with the towel he'd set down there earlier.

"Yeah, but you were dressed all those times," Reena reminded him, "I have limits!"

Now dressed again, the Klee Kai turned to look at herself in the mirror. She smiled at her hair fluffed out in a mess across her head and began to just comb it down with her fingers.

"Anyway, I'll be nice and let you know that I'm dressed again, so you don't have to hide anymore," she added.

"Of course." Wolf replies, "I guess I'll be out in a few moments then."

He finishes adjusting his shirt and shorts, then he steps over to the door and peers out into the main room, just to make sure things were as Reena said.

"No hurry!" came the reply.
Reena had gotten her hair mostly tamed back down and removed her wet clothes from the sink. Now she was working on wringing the water from her shorts. The movement of Wolf's head poking out past the bathroom doorframe made her look up.

"It's safe, I swear!" she insisted playfully.

"Just wanted to make sure." Wolf replies.

He steps out of the bathroom and back into the main room.

"So, are you making good progress there?" he asks her, seeing that she was still busy by the sink.

The Klee Kai lowered her gaze back to the clothing in her grip.
"Yyyyeah, just gotta squeeze the water outta this stuff here," she replied, "You can turn on the tv or do whatever while I finish here."

Wolf walks over towards the bed and sits down on the end of it.

"I'll be fine sitting and waiting until you're done." he replies, glancing back over at her.

"Well, honestly, there's not a whole lot for us to do until the storm dies down anyhow," Reena admitted. She looked at him in the mirror.

"We're kinda cooped up indoors for now."

He nods slightly.

"I guess we'll just sit back and relax for the time being then." he says, "Unless of course, you're going to pick another fight...

He glances towards her and smiles slightly.

Reena smirked back at him in the mirror. She seemed to have done all she could with her shorts and set them aside. She then picked up her bikini bottom and began to repeat the wringing process with it.

"Maybe so," she replied, "But if I do, it'll have to be when you least expect it."

"Well, that will only get you the advantage for a little while." he replies, "Then you'll be in big trouble."

"Unless I find your weakness first!" Reena added, "Then I can exploit ever-living hell out of it."
A wide grin spread out across her muzzle as she lowered her gaze back down to what she was doing.

"If you can find a weakness." he repeats, "I guess at that point I'll be justified in tickling you into submission."

He smirks over at her.

"Care to tempt fate with that one?" he asks.

"Tempting fate is part of my daily routine!" the Klee Kai assured him, glancing briefly over her shoulder. She took a moment to lean forward and wiggle her still-damp tail at him.

"After all, here I am with a strange guy in my hotel room again and I don't even know his real name!" Reena teased.

"Well, you didn't have to invite me back if that was such a concern..." he replies lightly, "I don't see why you don't think Wolf is a proper name. No one else minds."

"I'm curious by nature, Wolf," Reena replied, "I can't help but wonder what mysterious name you're really hiding!"
