The Lounge (Round Two) Empty The Lounge (Round Two)

Post by Dregan Tue Dec 15, 2015 5:02 pm

(Oop, apologise for the delay in opening this up! And just a reminder - the first round Lounge is still open for those who want to finish things up there.)

Aaand so, it had been two days since the first round of the tournament. People had been hurt, some people had lost, and some people had given some rather dramatic speeches. Overall, had been a big day of events.
The day off they'd been given had served a number of purposes. For a start, it had allowed people time to rest and recuperate. Those more seriously injured could get a chance to see some of the healers the staff had on-side. They may not've been able to allow them to fully recuperate, but ideally people would be in fit enough shape to participate in the next round of combat.
It also allowed those with the mind for it some time to research. Now they had more of an idea how the tournament operated, those with more inquisitive minds would perhaps be taking the time to look up tactics. Or, alternatively, to look up their opponents...
Lastly, it gave those who'd participated in the fights the chance to watch through the other combats. The show was really getting underway now, and people would get to see just how it would all look to an audience outside the Lounge vicinity.

As for today however, the Lounge was back in full-swing! Everything had been neatly cleaned since the last event, making it all look good as new again. Food and drinks had been refilled - seemingly whoever had sorted things this time had quite a sweet tooth, judging from all the tiny cakes on the long table.
The TVs were back on too. Some were displaying the remaining contenders, some displaying those who had now lost. The others were replaying highlights from the previous combats - reminders of what had occured up to now.

And of course, once more there was Greg, dressed once again in his smart suit and tie. ...No shirt however, weirdly enough. Just an open suit jacket with his tie hanging down. Huh.
Still, he seemed to be readily be welcoming everyone in - getting them to settle down for the brief wait before the next round announcements.

The Lounge (Round Two) Empty Re: The Lounge (Round Two)

It was then that Twilight strolled into the lounge... except, he seemed to be the first one there besides Greg. He nodded to the man, smirking slightly as he fully entered the lounge. It was as cozy and welcoming as before, except this time the Kitsune had something to be... excited about. Oh boy, that Envy. Part of him was disappointed that he had a round to be fought that day, but he had also won so there was no qualms there. Quickly, he turned back to Greg. "So, how about that Envy character, huh?" Twilight laughed "What a sham! If only I were here to see the looks on everyone's faces!"

As he walked over to one of the couches, he stretched slightly, mostly his shoulders. He was unsure if flight would be a safe option for the next round. Mostly he thought about the winners from each match in the first round and how he would match up against them. Boubka in specific was going to be a problem for him, he knew this. Even just looking at the chaos energy through the recording was enough to make him feel dizzy, he didn't even want to think about it- but now, he might have to face it. He sat rather comfortably on one of the couches, waiting for the other competitors to file in. Part of him had really hoped that the Envy drama was still at it's peak so that he could heckle everyone about it.

And next up, with have an Esme! It seems at some point, she found time to re-dye her hair to a more metalic shade of pink, a long strand of which she's somehow managed to braid. She's also wearing a different purple hoodie today, but there's not enough in it to really be noticable.

She's uh, also ditched the broken rail piece from her fight. Probably for the best, since it wasn't an official weapon.

Upon entry to the lounge, she treats Greg to a warm smile, and a playful wink. She allows her eyes to wander over him, raising her eyebrow slightly when she realises he's not wearing a shirt. Her eyes flick back up to his, and her smile shifts to an impish one. 'Lookin' good there, hot shot~' she says with a slight purr.

After a moment, she skips over to an empty seat, and sits. She seems rather fidgety as she watches the show, occasionally folding and unfolding her legs, crossing them, etc. As the recordings go on, her impish smile seems to grow slightly... noticably so when it comes to Envy's fight. She gives a low whistle, and mutters something under her breath.

Overall, she seemed rather like a child trying to sit through a long film.

Malware 2.0 was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he caught a case of second thoughts and ran off. If that was the case then great! No one had to listen to his annoying trombone, suffer from his cruel pranks, or even be in his presence. All would be quiet and calm for now. Wait. Sorry, my mistake. All would not be quiet and calm. As it turns out, Malware 2.0 had stayed while the others went home or did something else. Inside one of the cabinets, a loud snoring could be heard clear as day. It almost sounded as if a creature had decided to sneak into the lounge and have a place to hang. The cabinet door opened a bit and Malware 2.0's mask was visible.
Malware had spent the whole night getting drunk and playing his trombone.
The masked fox was curled up into a ball and seemed to be grasping the same trombone that he found after his first official victory in the tournament. At least he was clothed, thank God! The fox rolled over to his side and continued to sleep among the contents of the cabinet. It was rather odd to see Malware 2.0 end up in such a place as inside a cabinet. Perhaps he didn't really have anywhere to go. It didn't matter right now. What mattered is that Malware is passed out and won't be bothering anyone for now. One question lingered in the air like a powerful stench, though. Exactly how wasted did Malware become in order to sleep inside a cabinet?

Envy arrived, having slept not far from the vicinity of the building.

He stretched, which came with an abnormally high pitched yawn.

He saw Malware 2.0, who he was surprised hadn't lost.

Envy sat and waited, other contestants would make it here soon enough.

In the lounge, oone of the cushen peeked up slightly to reveal two white dots. It went off to reveal Blizz with a smile. Scratch that, a mischievous grin. The blue, triple-tailed kitsune had a different wear on; White Combat Boots, Gray Cargo Pants, Black V-Neck Shortsleeve, and a large Cylindrical Dark Orange Bag with a single strap. She also had Dog Tags around her neck. Strangely, she also had multiple bladed boomerangs that looked normal and mini sized, bent machete blades and a gas mask, AND multiple limegreen canisters poking out the bag.

Blizz popped out of the sofa with a bottle in hand. No, this wasn't alcohol, it was a 1940's brand vodka with sweet tea mixed. (So it had SOME alcoholic substance in it, who cares?) "I'm Baaaaaaaack~!!!"

annnnd just down the hallway some strange heat can be felt. it was Ryder and he was  strolling back towards the lounge, he walks up to the door and jiggles the door knob ,the heat from Ryder's hand heated the door knob, turning  it bright red. He open the door, he smiled at everyone as he comes through the door, everyone except Envy, as he soon as him saw he quickly frowned at him and growled. ( thinking: what the hell is he doing here.. i thought i got rid of him in the forest)

Showing herself again at long last was the vixen from last time. Sora. She walked on in, her eyes looking tired. She walked past Greg without much of a glimpse, heading straight for the drinks, scooping a rather large bottle up swiftly before anyone could say otherwise, slamming the cap's edge against a cabinet to remove said cap.

She then made her way to the sofas, taking one moment to try and outright switch off the TV that announced she'd lost, before flopping down on them, immediately taking a bunch of swigs of the alcohol.

Despite everything, she seemed to have her usual... attitude on. Just a bit less lively? At least she wasn't outright miserable. ".....Welp... how'd the other fights go, guys?" She randomly spoke up, slouching back. She honestly didn't care. Not one bit. The only reason she was there anymore was to make the most of the free stuff to make herself feel better about losing.

She took the occasional glance to the monitors, looking between them. Some of the fights looked pretty tense.

And then you had the whole Envy drama. How fab.

Twilight looked up at Sora, only recognizing the face due to the playbacks. He glanced at Ryder briefly, his expression made it seem like the fight almost never happened at all- as if now that it was over and he won, that he simply didn't care anymore. Then he turned his attention back to Sora, giving a brief hand wiggly to indicate that the match was 'so-so'. "What? You didn't watch the playbacks?" He asked. "Did no one else watch the playbacks?"

He sat up at this, surprised that everyone else might have just been relying on the highlights of the matches playing back on the TVs now. He got up, eyeing the cakes that were just asking to be eaten. In the midst of chewing, he jerked a thumb back at Envy. After swallowing, a wicked grin stretched across his face as if he were pointing it out just to terrorize him and the others. "Did you see this kid over here?" He made sure to ask this extra loud, so that the entirety of the lounge and those entering could hear him. "Looks like someone's happy to see you, at least!" He gestured to Ryder, who obviously wasn't happy. Twilight sure was getting a kick out of this.

Blizz noticed Sora's mood and joined her. "The other fights were 'meh' compared to yours. Probably because of the music. I'm still wondering how you lost, my money (If I had any) was on you winning." Blizz opinioned as she twisted the cap of her drink.

"Playbacks, gaybacks..." She mumbled, mature of her. She rolled her eyes, not even getting a direct answer to her question.

The sudden movement beside her made her flinch only slightly, but the words definitely put a small smile on her face. "...Well... y'know, you gotta lose sometime. Can't win 'em all..." The vixen sighed, taking another relatively large swig of the beverage, remaining slouched. "Guess I gotta find some other way to make money." She murmured under her breath, veeeeery quiet with that last bit.

She glanced about. Sora definitely wondered where the rest of the activity was.

Malware had finally decided to rejoin the world of the living. As the hungover fox awoke from his death-like slumber, he sat up and hit his head on the top of the interior of the cabinet. In response to the pain, Malware made a muffled yet not necessarily loud scream of pain. Malware held his head and shook it lightly before moving on to kick the cabinet doors open so he could get out of his rather odd sleeping spot. He crawled out of the cabinet on his hands and knees like an animal, no pun intended, and stood up once fully out in the open. The only thing missing now was his trombone which he had released his grasp upon once he woke up. This was going to be difficult for the masked hacker.
In an attempt to get the trombone out, Malware made the stubborn decision of trying to get it out sideways. The trombone became stuck, and Malware now had to formulate a plan to get his instrument out. He had stubbornly tried the same method several times before finally trying to pull the trombone out front-way. It seemed as though Malware wasn't very focused today, but one could deduce that the reason was because he was hungover. With no real sense of time, Malware looked around for a clock or some sort of device that could tell the time.
He couldn't tell whether it was morning or the afternoon. He actually wanted to eat breakfast which was why he wanted to know the time. Breakfast was Malware's favorite meal course. It even rivaled his love of nachos and cheese dip. The thought of food made Malware 2.0 salivate underneath his mask. Unfortunately, Malware's brief contemplation of food was replaced by the need to ruin everyone's day. What could he do to make everyone mad?
This place did use an awful lot of electronic and digital tech. Perhaps he could rewrite the code, reprogram them to perform a different function, or just sabotage the equipment. So many options, so few people to aggravate. He had to think about this for a while. Finally, Malware's face, if it were possible to see, lit up with excitement. Malware could mess with Greg since he blamed him and his sponsor for putting a hacker as great as himself in a venue with no tech in sight. No, wait. That wasn't going to be any good. Malware didn't want to get kicked out of the tournament. The very realization made Malware a bit depressed. Then again, if Malware was careful with his cruel pranks directed at Greg, he could be satisfied. But... if caught, Malware would be kicked out.
Having no further ideas, Malware went exploring for vulnerabilities in systems and tech that he could exploit in order to prank the combatants and those who came to waste their time.

Envy began looking as if he was trying to find something... Scratch that, he found the snack pods.
He made a large mess after throwing as much food as a person three times his size would...

It was obvious that Envy loved food, he skidded on his boots to sit down and started eating uncontrollably... Again.

Then there came Ryder and a comment from Twilight, who looked familiar... Responding to Ryder Envy laughed then spoke out with a calmly hateful face. "Miss me, ya sack o' shot moron?"

Without turning, his voice changed, he was now speaking to Twilight. "Don't I know ya?"

'I don't know, if she couldn't get through the first round, I doubt she's ready for huntin', ya know?' Esme chimed in, her impish grin growing with delighted malice. 'Plus, who ever paid you that amount of money was ripped off, or you're lyin'. There's no way you'd EVER earn that much bounty huntin'..'

She paused for a moment, fixing Sora with those large, crimson eyes. After a second, she tilts her head and continues. 'With looks like that, I reckon you'd earn mony faster lyin' on your back~... You know, for photoshoots and that. Modelin's a decepetively easy to get into.' she pauses for a moment, obviously looking to continue her statement... buuut the testosterone brewing between Envy, Ryder and Twilight caught her attention.

'Yooooo, you guy's plannin' on fightin' over there?' She says, hopping to her feet. 'You know, if you keep piggin' out on the food, the rest of us may have to raise some complaints.. and I hear thin' s aren't lookin' so good for you as is. I'd have thought you'd be on your best behaviour~' She says, smiling innocently.

Bounty hunting. ...Huh. It sounded dangerous. A bit crazy. But maybe if she had weapons or something to back her up, she'd be able to- "....." An eye twitch. "Yeah, you don't need to fuckin' remind me." She said, sounding relatively irritated at the fact that her loss was brought up.

However, she simply looked away, "Er.. well, I mean, I..." She wasn't one to take compliments very often. At least it seemed like a compliment to her. After a momentary pause though, her attention also diverted. Straight to the drama. Envy.

Oh, well, that's the guy. The one everyone hated. ...Yep. She was at least glad she didn't have to go into a fight with him. But if that was the case she'd have resorted to every last bit of foul play she possibly could think of. She held back with Froshana a little bit out of respect, but this one? Oh, there'd be rules broken. And Envy probably wouldn't have been able to have kids by the time she was done with him.

...But that was besides the point. Sora glanced away, once again realising. Yep. She lost.

"......" A small sigh. She tilted her head back taking a very big mouthful of the alcohol, before slamming the bottle down with a clunk onto the table before her, resting her feet up, leaning back into the sofa and not giving a damn, seemingly.

Post by Dregan Fri Dec 18, 2015 1:15 am

(Oop, cleaned up that li'l bit of OOC earlier in the chat, just to keep things flowing.)

There was quuuiiite the number of people entering the Lounge right now - enough that poor Greg was struggling with his job of welcoming them all. Twilight for example, had seemed quite eager to speak his mind on the whole Envy situation - but hadn't quite waited for a response from the zebra before wandering off and taking to the sofas.
Oh well, that didn't bother him for too long. After all, it was soon enough that dear Esme entered;
"Lookin' good there, hot shot~" Well, she was certainly playing to his ego right there! He grinned, adjusting his suit.
"Not so bad yourself!" he called after as she made her way away. He was totally in there.

Iiit was then things took a little bit of a downturn. First of all was Malware who... appeared to've been sleeping in the closet. And judging from the fact it had been... two days? He'd been in there a long time. How had they missed that!? ...More important, was it his job to've checked? He was sure as hell hoping not right now.
Next up, Envy entered. By all accounts, that was bad. Right now the figure carried an attitude... and atmosphere of sorts around them, infecting everybody close by. Greg was really looking forward to the tournament being over just to see the last of them.
Next was Blizz who... Well, was just being Blizz. No comment.

It seemed that the more time went by, the more tensions seemed to rise. The fact that people were seemingly beginning to smack talk people already, so few minutes into the day's events... oh god that wasn't good.
"Ah- uh- please no fighting in the Lounge!" he paused a second, something apparently being murmured into his earpiece, "You can feel free to take it outside - or to, er, any of our priorly used arenas if you so fancy - but be aware are matches are still planning to run to schedule. If you don't turn up, or if you're already injured on arrival... Well, I mean, that won't be our responsibility."

The Lounge (Round Two) Empty Re: The Lounge (Round Two)

Post by ZephyrRapierre Fri Dec 18, 2015 1:35 am

Almost soundless, another competitor arrived at the lounge. Walking quite calmly and giving a friendly nod to the one that welcomed them all, the green avian seemed to have a bit more confidence now than before. Maybe gathering some basic data about some of the fighters had something to do with his morale. Unfortunately for him, the sources weren't very clear so most of his data is quoted as "possible" or "possibly". In fact, there were too many of those written down in the notebook, so Zephyr reached a decision: No more data gathering. He would have to go on with what he already had plus the occasional piece of clue. From now on, better be ready to face anyone!

Well, mostly anyone... Envy was still in, and he didn't seem too sorry about his "behavior" in the first round, but if fate decided that he would face him, then he wouldn't hold back.

As Zephyr went slowly but silently through the room, he saw Blizz talking to other participants. Although tempted to join the talk, he wanted to be completely ready for his turn to shine. Like the first time, he walked right to the weapon rack to leave his sword. But this time, he partially unsheathed his blade to check one last time that his weapon was ready for it. Quickly, he sheathed it and left it there to take a small snack. His mind was set to perform optimally so whenever he achieves either victory or defeat, he would have no regrets. Maybe a bit too much.

Getting too carried away could lead to fatal errors. In an attempt to prevent such a problem, he decided to let his mind rest while eating. Now, what to eat...

Twilight perked up at the acknowledgement. "We've never met." He said in a rather straightforward fashion. After all, how else would someone reply to something like that? "I can't imagine who you'd mistake me for." He stretched, his slender form becoming more pronounced as he reached over his shoulders. In the middle of his stretching, he looked over at Esme then back at Ryder and Envy. His interest piqued at Greg's plead and he watched to see what could possibly transpire between the two.

"Well, I certainly wonder..." Twilight smiled a rather handsome smile, one of amusement it seemed in response to Esme calling the three of them out. "Personally, I have better things to do than waste my time with a loser and a cheater." He snatched one last bite sized dessert before walking away from the table altogether, but his scarlet gaze seemed fixated on the two.

The door of the elevator opened again. The cyan fox entered the lobby again, although he wasn't as excited as before. He just gave off a friendly smile. After some looking around, he went sitting at a table, eating one of the cakes that was lying in front of him.

Boubka was still amazed by the fact that he was almost completely healed after that huge fight. He came back from the fight with some cuts and burn wounds, but you couldn't see any of it anymore. He still felt bad for letting Cruz lose. Boubka's powers just made Boubka the person who he is now. This was his fighting style and nobody was going to change anything about that, unless of course, himself.

It seemed like Twilight was here too. He hadn't seen him two days ago, but there were a lot of distractions in this lobby. He vaguely remembered Twilight also being called up to fight. Sora was next to Twilight. They were talking to eachother and other slowly started to join their conversation. Boubka on the other hand felt a bit uneasy to talk right now. Do they all know about the drama that happened two days ago? He was afraid that people now had a bad image about him. Maybe it's better for him to just sit down here and eat something. He just had two chocolate bars, but he was still starving.

Blizz glanced at Sora. "You need to lighten up, sister. There're more ways than even I know how to score some numbers. I would say I could tell you riddles to get your mind off things, but I'm not sure you'd understand military ones." Blizz took a moment to think before speaking again. "Fuck it, I got nothing better to do. A man is in a cubed room. There are no doors and no windows. Nothing is with him besides a table and a mirror. How does he get out?"

A flicker of irritation settled upon Esme's face at Greg's statement about the fights, but she forced out a smile. She's quiet for a moment, before folding her legs beneath her like a child, and allowing her gaze to flick back and forth between Ryder and Envy.

'..you know what, I'm not interested in a fight between you now. I just realised one of you lost your fight, and the other only one through dubious means. Like, I adore fightin', but a match between you two would be booooooorin'~' She says with an impish grin, her eyes widening with mock anticipation. 'Like, I am easily amused, so that should tell you guys somethin' '

She smirks, before popping up onto her feet, and claiming one of the few remaining snacks. She takes a delicate bite of it, before speaking again. 'Ah well, I guess you'll have to live with bein' dull.' She says, treating them to a wink, before skipping back over to her chair.

The Lounge (Round Two) Empty Re: The Lounge (Round Two)

Malware paid no attention to the ongoing conversations since he didn't really care for the drama. Although his original plan was to prank people, Malware started to engage in some rather odd activities. He started to grab and take apart various electronic devices out of boredom. Then, he put them all back together and gave them "upgrades." What these upgrades were are a mystery. Maybe it was harmless upgrades. Maybe not. Who knows? Soon, Malware's activities were taken to a strange level.
Malware 2.0 started to take away a whole entire TV down to his customized van for no apparent reason. He soon came back with a bigger better TV and had what seemed to be one of his set-up crew members helping him. Together, the two hooked the TV up and went back down to get something else. The two came back up into the lounge again and hooked up a game console to the TV that was recently brought in. If there was one thing to know about Malware, it was that you should never play video games with him for obvious reasons.
Malware and his set-up crew member started to play a game that was a rather good, but clear knock-off of Mortal Kombat. The game was called "Combat of the Immortals," and had several characters who were gods of a fictional universe. Malware had sent a message through several electronic devices, excluding his own, which read, "Anyb0dy wanna g3t wr3ck3d p1ay1ng c0mbat 0f th3 1mm0rta1s?????" Perhaps this was all a lure to enrage people through a video game.

The Lounge (Round Two) Empty Re: The Lounge (Round Two)

And guess who arrived fashionably late? Of course, it was none other than the pink-clad griffon known as Maxie. With the elevator doors opening, she strolled forward confidently with a sway in her hips. Like last time, she wore a lot of pink, with a lot of heart decorations, and was a bit of an eyesore and looked so sweet she could probably give everyone in the room diabetes.

"Sorry I'm laaate, darlings~!" she called out to those who had gathered in the Lounge, holding a gloved hand against her chest and puckered her beak, "How's everyone doing today? I'm doing fabulously! Ohoho~!" With her laugh, she flopped onto the main couch with a suggestive flexing off her legs, which then draped over the edge in a potentially uncomfortable-to-others manner. She leaned her head back, eyeing up Sora and Blizz who were having a little puzzle game.

"Sora, honey, you did fantastic!" Maxie commented to the vixen with a giggle, "It was the best fight I've seen in years! Ah, the drama! The action! The suspense! It was a wonderful show!" Clasping her hands together, the woman finally sat upright and leaned her head back, casting a side glance towards Envy in the process. Her facial expression hardened to something strikingly intimidating, before melting into her standard cheerful self; "Unlike some~!"

The Lounge (Round Two) Empty Re: The Lounge (Round Two)

A grumble. "I've got a job." She quietly said, "I just don't have a massive paycheck for it." Sora simply shook her head, before sighing. A small chuckle that was mildly forced. "Aight... I got no clue." She simply stated, shrugging some more, before suddenly hearing the loud unmistakable voice of Maxie entering the room.

As she waited a moment for Blizz to give the answer, she glanced away a bit. "...I mean... I DID give it my all." She said, feeling pretty pleased with the positive comment. She didn't win but at least someone thought she put up a good fight.
