Beginning of a Journey

"Pretty soon," the dog replied after a quick look at the time. She picked up her laptop and set it aside on the bed, then took a few moments to stretch her arms out in front of her. A little squeak could be heard as she did so, then she stretched her legs as well.

After she'd finished with flexing her limbs a bit, Reena looked back over at Wolf. "We should probably go ahead and get packed up to head out," she said, "I think I've had about enough chill time anyhow."

Wolf sits up and glances over towards his duffel bag.

"Well... I'm already packed." he says, "So, when you're ready to head out, just let me know."

He then looks back towards her.

Reena followed Wolf's gaze to his bag. She smiled slightly.
"In that case, you can just chill while I get my stuff together, then," she told him.
The Klee Kai shifted to the side of the bed closest to her and stood up. She took a few moments to look around the room and see what all she had lying around before stepping over to her bag and starting to reorganize her things so they would fit properly again.

"Certainly seems like I can." Wolf replies.

He lies back down on the bed and glances over towards Reena as she begins tidying up her belongings.

It didn't take too long for Reena to finish what she was doing by her bag. Only a minute or two after starting, she moved away towards the bathroom. The television was given a glance as she passed by it but she resisted the urge to linger there.
Little time was spent in the bathroom as she only had to grab a couple of items before coming back out and returning to her bag to pack them up as well. Within a few more minutes of moving about the room and also packing up her computer again, Reena appeared to be done with her packing. She stopped by her bags and looked over at Wolf.

"Well, looks like I'm ready to go!" she announced.

Wolf watches Reena as she moves about, gathering the last of her items and then packing them away. He nods to her after she announces that she's finished.

"All right then." he says, "Guess we're going to head out of here now?"

"Yep, might as well!" Reena replied with a nod in return. She turned away and started to pick up her bags, slinging them around herself as she had before to carry them easily.

Wolf moves to the edge of the bed and climbs off of it. Once he's standing, he walks over to where his bag was sitting, then reaches down to grab hold of the strap and pick it up. He slings it over one shoulder and then looks over towards Reena before he starts moving towards the door of the hotel room.

Reena grabbed up the remote from the bed and shut off the television. She set the control back where it had been when they arrived as she started off towards the door as well.
"You can go ahead and give me your room key, too, since we'll need to turn those in when checking out," she said to Wolf.

Wolf removes the room key from the pocket of his pants and holds it out to Reena.

"Here you go." he says.

"Thank you!" the dog smiled, "Now out we go!"
She ushered him to the door since he was in front of her, urging him to open it and go out into the hallway.

Wolf nods to her. He then turns away and opens the hotel room door and steps out into the hallway. He turns back to watch Reena as she exits the room after.

Reena pulled the door shut behind her. She gave herself a quick pat down as well, making sure she had her phone in her pocket and wasn't missing anything else. Once certain all was in its place, she started off towards the elevator.

"So, just gonna pick a direction and start walking when we get outta here?" she asked, "Or if you're hungry, we could have lunch before we part ways?"

"Probably just gonna pick a direction, I suppose." Wolf replies, as he walks a step behind Reena and off to her right, "After I figure out which way we'd come from at least. Need to get my bearings again."

As they approach the elevator he focuses his gaze on Reena again.

"As for lunch... I suppose we could if you'd like." he replies.

"It's just an idea," Reena admitted, pushing the button for the elevator. "Since it's been a little while since breakfast, I wasn't sure if you'd wanna eat before heading on."
When the elevator door opened, she stepped inside and hit the button for the lobby floor.

Wolf joins her in the elevator quickly, before the doors close.

"I know. I'm not opposed to it." he replies, "Just don't want you to feel obligated to pay for me again."

"Bah, don't even worry about it!" Reena insisted, "I mean, c'mon. I might never see you again, I can at least buy you one more meal since breakfast was, to an extent, free."
She looked over to the wolf and smiled.
"Right?"

"Uh, sure." Wolf replies, "I guess when you put it that way, it's a really good idea."

"Of course!" The little canine beamed, her tail giving a short wag. She glanced up after the elevator came to a stop and then opened its doors.
"So what are you in the mood for?" Reena asked as she stepped out of the elevator.

"Hmmm... I don't really know." Wolf replies, as he step out of the elevator after her, "Have any suggestions?"

"Hadn't really thought about it yet," Reena admitted, glancing back at him, "But we can have a look around and see what else there is once we leave here."
She made her way straight over to the front desk, friendly smile back on her face as she greeted the employee there and began the check-out process.

Wolf nods slightly, leaving the conversation there while Reena goes about concluding her business with the employee behind the desk. He turns his back to her, looking out across the rest of the lobby, not looking for anything in particular, but looking all the same.

It was quick and easy for Reena to finish checking out. Within just a couple of minutes, she was thanking the employee and turning away to head for the door.
"Alright, we're all done here," she told Wolf, "Shall we skedaddle and find some kibbles?"

"Sure thing." he says, falling into step with her as she heads for the doors leading back outside.

"So let's see what we can find today..." Reena commented as she stepped out of the hotel. She stood there looking around for several moments, remembering which ways they'd gone before and what she'd seen in different directions. Once she had some vague idea of where to go, she pointed ahead and said, "Let's try this way. If we don't see anything too soon, I'll just use my phone."
With that, she started off across the street.
