To be a part-y of the crowd.

She was entirely sure why she'd given in, and gone ahead with a small fantasy of hers, but Elizabeth was sorely beginning to regret it. After certain events, she'd toyed with the idea of hosting a party of her, in an attempt to meet new people. Her father approved of it, as long as he was allowed to lock himself away in the lab, so quietly she set about preparing her home for an open party! Open to the public indeed indeed.

The Alin mansion was.. deceptively large, for it's humble location. Located just off the on the edge of the city, Elizabeth had worked tirelessly to turn the halls, and a few of it's empty rooms, into a place suitable for general socialbility. As she took deep breaths, and prepared to open the fron door to people, she took a moment to make sure everything was set.

A small record player she'd found in one of the rooms hummed softly too itself, music of many varieties drifting in and out of the rooms. Tables had been set up with piles of food and soft drinks, and lighting had be arranged in a stylish manner. The stairway to the upper floor was temporarily barred, and a simple sign stated that the garden would be opening an hour later, or from popular request.

She took one last breath, glancing at herself in a mirror. Deceptively slim for a 19 year old human, she had taken great pains to wear something a little less... well, her. This was meant to be a casual gathering after all, so she didn't think people would feel comfortable seeing her dressed in a ballgown, whilst they wore jeans and t-shirt and...
Well, regardless, she wore a slim black dress. Her nutmeg skin glistened slightly with perspiration, and her weaves of oak brown hair cascaded down around her in simple waves.

Quietly, she stepped forward and unlocked the wooden doors, hoping to god that someone had at least read the flyers, and planned on dropping by.

((Oop, I need to check the Open RP section more, yep-yep.))

Well, there was at least one individual waiting outside! An otter! An incredibly small otter! A large small otter! Wait what?
Well, the follow was incredibly short, for a start. Maybe only three or four inches over five foot? Though it seemed like he'd tried to compensate for his height with pure unadulterated muscle. Like, if you were to be given a prompt to build someone out of clay, and that prompt was 'Upper Body Strength', this guy would probably be the result. It wouldn't feel much of an exaggeration to say the guy seemed to be as wide as he was tall - with about 50% of that mass being pure chest and shoulders.
As if to further exaggerate the point, he was wearing a rather tight shirt, slogan stretched out across his upper body; "I am become pecs, destroyer of worlds!"

As the door opened, he could be seen waving, large grin poking out from facial hair that would look rather fitting on a viking;
"Ah, hello there! Am I at the right place?"

The hedgehog had been roaming the streets that morning, nothing unusual there. She was dressed like an old fashioned street vagrant aswell, a ratty romanian-esque purple skirt, and a ratty brown shawl even the most hard-of-seeing old lady would throw out. Also nothing unusual, at least to her. She had pink spiky hair, and a lanky frame, but as a hedgehog, this too was no unusual.

She saw a flyer in a bookstore window, however, welcoming her to a party? Her? Anyone? THIS was unusual. Now this morning it was rather cold, and she was rather depressed, so she decided that maybe this wouldn't be so bad. She might even get a bit of food out of it.

So after going in the store and swiping the flyer, she followed the directions and headed towards the mansion.

It seemed another person was on their way to the entrance of the mansion. Slowly but surely closing in on the otter and those just unlocked wooden doors.

The one that was approaching them was a relatively tall mobian of the Tasmanian devil kind. His fur tints of brown as well as his hair which was brushed to one side of his face, almost obscuring one of his piercing sickly yellow eyes.

The individual was dressed in a black turtleneck shirt which was safely tucked away into a pair of gray skinny's, which in turn were tucked into black boots with steal noses. And to top it off, the man wore a white and sickly yellow jacket.

And he came to a halt next to the otter, their posture quite stiff as well as his facial expression, Before they spoke with a voice that was as monotone and stiff as the rest of him. "I wanted to ask if this indeed was the location the flyers were speaking about but I have my assumption that it indeed is."

Lightly, Elizabeth bowed her head at the newcomers. 'This is indeed the correct place.' she pauses 'Presuming of course here for the party, sir.' She said, a slight flush spreading across her delicate face.

Taking a moment to compose her self, she delicately curtsied to the pair, and the handful of npc guests who have more than likely shown up. She gives them a small, nervous looking smile. 'I am Elizabeth. A pleasure to meet you both. Please, come in!' she says softly, moving to one side as she realises she's semi-blocking the entrance. 'I'm sorry it is not much, but I must confess a lack of experiance in hosting such events.'

"Aaah, the pleasure is all mine!" the short otter announced, stepping on in, "I'm Maverick, Maverick Gunshow!" Aaand with that he gave a little bit of a flex. Yep. That was definitely a beefy otter.
"Aaand yes, that is my legal name too!" It didn't sound like it. Albeit the 'gunshow' portion was rather fitting.

Rather than keep posing, he soon stepped inside, taking a glance around. Being the first person in, many would find it hard to really find much to do with themselves. In particular, many would probably try to avoid being the first to go for the food at all, not wanting to stand out too much from the crowd or appear piggish.
As was becoming increasingly obvious however, the otter had no such issues of self-conciousness. Making his way over to one table, he grabbed a plate, and started making a reasonable pile of food on it.

The tasmanian devil opened his mouth to speak as the others moved in. Instead of just rushing in after them he waited just that moment in place before finally trailing behind them.

Though stepping to give a small bow to the younger lady. "Eric Smith." Yes that totally sounded like a not quickly made up name. "And do not worry about a lack of events or such. The importance lays more in the fact that you at least are giving it a try. Besides, one can only gain experience if they at least made the valid attempt."

Finally the pale eyed man straightened up and stepped into the rest of the mansion to join the rest of the people.

The food itself is nothing spectacular. It consists of a wide variety of snack foods, ranging from simple things like assorted to crisps and cocktail sausages, to slightly fancier kinds. There is plenty to go around, so theres no need to be particularily reserved with the selection.

The mansion itself, at a glance, is deceptively plain. There is little in the way or actual ornements laid out around the room, but there are a great many doors. A few of these are open, leading to open rooms set up in preperation for socialising, or for people to go if they need a bit of peace and quiet. A careful eye would notice that whilst it was deceptively empty, a tasteful eye had glanced over it, arranging colours and ornements to maximise what little presence they have.

'It is a pleasure to meet you both.' Elizabeth says softly, watching them enter the building. A small, almost unnoticable, sigh of relief slips through her lips, and her shoulders are a little less tense.
