Extreme Tune-up Empty Extreme Tune-up

Post by DeuxExDimensia Fri Apr 10, 2015 5:45 pm

Among the mostly peaceful silence of the Mystic Ruins- save for the train that comes in from time to time- a soft mechanical humming came from a certain workshop atop a certain hill. The distant roar of a distant waterfall didn't even cover it that well. The closer one got to the workshop, the more the hum became more of a loud buzzing noise. From inside the garage, a two-tailed fox was working on tuning up something special, something oh-so familiar to him.

After a while, he removed his safety goggles from his eyes and the noise came to a halt. The garage doors rattled open and he emerged with one of his old extreme gears. The days that he and his friends raced one another hadn't completely come to a stop, so he kept all of the gear from that time stored away until another day- that or, he built new ones that just so happened to come out better than the last. The one that he had been tuning up, however, was an older model. In fact, this model was from the time that he, Sonic and Knuckles had found those.. 'Ark of the Cosmos'. Strange things, they were.

This old Yellow Tail model appeared to have some rather obvious aesthetic changes to it, a few differences in color here and there but for the most part it looked and functioned pretty similar. Closing the garage doors, Tails jumped on his upgraded gear. He put the goggles over his eyes again. Outfitted in his usual extreme gear riding get up, the fox took off and rode around the outside of his workshop. As he got the hang of riding on it again, he took off down the hill.

From the great heights of the Ruins the wind blew and blew harshly. No wait, that wasn't wind, something was falling! A large, reptilian creature fell from the sky, his body torn and battered in what appeared to be knight's gear, it was dyed obsidian, and segmented to fit his body, his long tail was thick, and dragon like, but he bore no wings... A blade fell into the dirt before the strange creature hit... His hands and feet were thin like a human's, but his head bore semblance to a dragon's like his tail, long and with horns sleek on their back, his scales an equal color of grey as his armor... He fell flat on his back... Gasping as he did... Whatever did this to him was gone now, as he tried to struggle to his feet, just INCHES from hitting the fox on his board...

Tails let out a yelp of surprise at the reptile hitting the ground, before pulling up on his board and falling over onto the ground himself. The board flipped over and hit the ground, but not too hard. Wasting no time, the fox scrambled to his feet and ran over to the scaly mobian. He attempted to help him to his feet, but realizing that the stranger might not be able to stand for very long in the condition he was in, Tails flipped over his board- to which it started hovering in the air again and brought over to the guy. "Here." Tails said, offering him a seat on the board. He frowned for a moment at the condition of the mobian. "Are you alright??" Obvious question #1 out of the way...

His tails swished back and forth, he kind of radiated an air of concern as he awaited an answer from the reptile. Tails always kept a first aid kit back in his workshop, he could take the stranger back there if he agreed to it. There weren't any hospitals in the area, they'd have to take a train back to Station Square.

The creature was far from Mobian, in fact, it seemed like an entirely new species... Whatever it was, the thing did not respond, clearly whatever combat it had endured was tough, and whatever it was fighting had claws. The reason being was because of the parallel lines that ran across it's entire body, armor and all in forms of slash marks. This meant it definitely was a hunter of some sort, or at least was fighting some beast prior to landing here...

The concerned fox seemed to grow more concerned by the minute, as he didn't get any response. He observed the stranger's appearance closely. He thought to himself, growing a little overwhelmed having to figure out this strange situation on his own. He could get through it though, deep down he knew he could. After a second, Tails extended a hand to the stranger. "I could get you patched up." He started, not knowing if the stranger even spoke the same language. It would require a short trip back to the workshop to get his Miles Electric, which functioned as a translator if need be.

"Urrgh..."

He began to come to... At first, he looked a bit shocked, turning and facing in several areas, trying to take in his surroundings. Immediately, he put his once shocked, now curious eyes upon the Mobian Fox, studying his movements and his actions carefully... Then, he spoke, the translator doing the work soon after...

"Kaht stehft putteri gleh urun zuhk giddarui."
"You have saved my life blessed stranger."

He nodded...

"Gleh li un kaht furuzuhk."
"I am in your debt..."

Tails read the words that appeared on the screen as the stranger spoke this other language, first reacting with a small smile though he seemed quite humble at the entire thing. "Aww, it's nothin'.." The fox replied, still unsure if the stranger could understand him or not. "I couldn't have just left you there." He didn't speak much after that for a while, he didn't want to assault the stranger with words he didn't understand because of the language barrier.

"Hmmm... So that is your tongue. My fault, I was speaking Fuhrzohnen, wasn't I?"

The dragon-esque creature laughed heartily, leaning back as he realized his fault. He let off a deep sigh, wiping a tear from his eye due to his heavy, stomach-based laughter. After catching his breath, the creature rolled his shoulder...

"I am Daelus Uruhk, warrior of the Northern Azawrathian Republic, blessed stranger, I thank you a thousand times for my life..."

"Nice to meet you!" The slight awkwardness of the moment faded away as he was sure he could converse normally with the stranger. "I'm Miles Prower- but my friends call me Tails!" Tails introduced himself with a few motions of the hand, big on body language perhaps? For a moment, he lifted a finger to his chin and assumed a sort of thinking position, as it contemplating something or trying to piece something together. "Excuse me for being nosy, but, do you remember how that happened? You.. falling from the sky and all.."

"I..."

The dragon descendant stopped... He put a finger to his chin, letting out a low...

"hmmm..."

He then sighed... Responding with the following as a small twinkle in his eye appeared. Was it a tear? Was he crying? Why was he crying over this...?

"I... I do not know..."

"Are you alright??" Tails asked, getting up and stepping towards Daelus, hands out in a rather consoling fashion. He frowned, feeling bad for having asked. "I'm sorry! You don't have to continue.."

He started thinking again, if only there was something to help this new found friend figure out what happened to him and why he was here- but clearly if he didn't remember it would take some doing.
