Strings Of Fate & Falling

Roxy looked to her. "You know my name." she chuckled but then she focused on something. "Sisters? As in...in-laws?" she asked, her eyes widened slightly at the thought of it.

"Depends would you want max to be your future husband?" Cilia asked smiling


Azrael smirked tripping him up but max recovered quickly and blocked a strike

Roxanne went red and started stuttering as she looked away, preferably at them fighting. "It's...it's way too soon to be thinking about that, isn't it?" she scoffed, frowning a little bit as she could still sense her smirk.

"Just asking" cilia said.. 

Max smiled but tenced. "Look out!" He pushed zexal out of the way blockin a beam I light with his sword. A familiar light beam

Roxanne suddenly tensed up. "What the hell's going on?!" she asked, staying up in the tree just in case as she looked down at them both with a worried expression on her face.

Max snarled stepping back. As Templars started to surround them. "Maximus primos! The time has come to go back to the hells you came from!" 

Max roared. "Just try. I've bested each one I you once in training I can do it again!"

"Stop!" Cilia shouted as she spread her wings.

"Lady cilia! What are you doing here the Phoenix said your time comes in two years time"

"She also spoke that this youth will live" she growled.

The lead Templar growled. "The Phoenix should not favor this abomination!"

Roxanne growled silently, her claws scraping the bark as she was trying so much not to interfere. Whatever this was, it was way out of her league and seemed like something they had to sort out themselves, without her intruding as much as she wanted to do something.

Max looked to roxy. 'Roxy I need you to freeze them if things get hairy.' He said in her mind

Cilia snorted. "Kieko, guardian of the village. Archangel cilia konai calls you"

Roxanne's expression hardened as she nodded to him.

Within a second, a huge beam of light appeared out of nowhere as a form with enormous eagle wings appeared behind the light. His arrival was flowing with intense energy that he created a small crater under his feet as he looked up with a scowl, not saying a word.

Her eyes widened. Kieko...

Cilia smiled. "Good to see you again kieko. I need you to escort max roxy and zexal to the village away from these Templar."

Max looked to kieko. This wasn't going to end well either way they went.

Kieko looked up to her with a hard expression before nodding. Then he looked between Max and Roxanne, without saying a word, he gestured for them to follow, before he did the same to Zexal.

His white eagle wings spread out as he started walking. Roxanne felt uncomfortable as she dropped down from the tree and followed. She was uneasy because Kieko felt distant and tense, plus he wasn't saying anything at all as they walked.

Zexal and max followed with her max uneasy on how quiet he was. Just waiting for kieko to go after him.

Cilia growled. "Now who wants to disobey the phoenix?"

Roxanne started to walk beside Max as they exchanged looks, both very aware of the heavy tension in the air as they walked back to the village.

When they got back, Kieko turned to look at them all with a blank expression, eyes travelling to each of them before he nodded. As he did, another beam of light appeared.

"Wait! Kieko!" Roxy called, running forward but by then, he had already disappeared. Something was very off about him.

Max sighed. "We need to head out to his house and see what's up. Something's bugging him bad and it's not rubbing me right"

Zexal wasn't paying attention he kept looking back at where the angel was.

Roxy sighed. "Yeah, I know something's not right. He looked straight through us." she said, frowning a little, but then she looked to Zexal who appeared to be focused on something else. Was it Cilia? She did say that she and him would encounter at some point...

Max looked to zexal. "Zex, you ok buddy"

"Huh?" He said snappin out of his daze

"Roxy and I are gonna head out I'll see you in a month"

"Ya sure" he went back into his daze

Roxanne sighed as she looked in the direction of Kieko's house just outside of the village. She hoped everything was alright, or rather, nothing major. With an uneasy noise, she took off quickly in it's direction, determined to check up on her dear friend.

Max followed close behind. Something told him this wasn't goin to end well and his instincts were setting off like alarms

Roxy started panting as she ran faster. She eventually got to the door and started knocking. "Kieko? Kieko please open up." she pleaded, though she was soon losing her patience after minutes of silence. "Kieko, open this door now!" she growled, but as she did, the door seemed to creak open on it's own and the house appeared trashed.

Furniture were turned on it's side, paper and books were cascaded on the floor and even some of the wallpaper seemed to be torn off the walls. Kieko was nowhere to be seen.

Max stepped in lookin around. "What the hell happened here?" He said cautious but worried about kieko. Had his friend become his enemy?

Roxanne stepped in, feeling a sense of uneasiness around her before she spotted something carved onto the wall. She squinted before she approached, moving the strips of wallpaper out of the way as she inspected it.

It was an ancient symbol, and as she looked at it, she remembered reading something in one of Asher's books about the different enchantments and spells that were used. Her eyes widened as she remembered it, her hand shaking when she placed it over the symbol.

"Memory alterations..." she whispered to herself.

"There all over the place" he said pullin some more of he wallpaper out of the way revealing more symbols. "Has he been trying to forget us?"

Her blood turned cold suddenly as she turned to face him with wide eyes. "That...or has someone used the spell on him against his will?" she looked him in the eye. "You don't think those Templars are behind this do you? I mean, knowing the history of Kieko and demons, if they made him forget us..." she gulped. "...then he has no reason not to attack you..."

Max tenced. "We need to get back o the house. He might be heading for dad an kaidori" he said as he ran outside headin for his house

"Max, wait!" Roxanne called.

As he ran, another flash of light filled the sky before Kieko seemed to drop down onto him; his eagle wings long and spread. He pinned Max to the ground with incredible strength before he pulled out a glowing, bright sword. Roxanne was right, when she mentioned that he had looked straight through them, if was as if they were complete strangers. When Max looked up, he would see Kieko's expression was blank, with no trace of emotions whatsoever as he made his sword glow brighter, pressing the tip against Max's throat.
